ایّوب 5
| «الان استغاثه کن و آیا کسی هست که تو راجواب دهد؟ و به کدامیک از مقدسان توجه خواهی نمود؟ | ۱ 1 |
Therefore call, if there are any who will respond to you, and turn to one or another of the saints.
| زیرا غصه، احمق رامی کشد و حسد، ابله را می‌میراند. | ۲ 2 |
Truly, anger condemns the foolish to death, and envy kills the petty.
| من احمق رادیدم که ریشه می‌گرفت و ناگهان مسکن او رانفرین کردم. | ۳ 3 |
I have seen a fool with a strong root, and I have cursed his excellence without hesitation.
| فرزندان او از امنیت دور هستند ودر دروازه پایمال می‌شوند و رهاننده‌ای نیست. | ۴ 4 |
His sons will be far from prosperity and will be crushed at the gate, and there will be none who can rescue them.
| که گرسنگان محصول او را می‌خورند، و آن رانیز از میان خارها می‌چینند، و دهان تله برای دولت ایشان باز است. | ۵ 5 |
Their harvest, the starving will eat. The armed man will rob him, and the thirsty will drink his resources.
| زیرا که بلا از غبار درنمی آید، و مشقت از زمین نمی روید. | ۶ 6 |
Nothing on earth occurs without a reason, and sorrow does not rise from the earth.
| بلکه انسان برای مشقت مولود می‌شود، چنانکه شراره‌ها بالامی پرد. | ۷ 7 |
Man is born to labor, and the bird to fly.
| و لکن من نزد خدا طلب می‌کردم، ودعوی خود را بر خدا می‌سپردم، | ۸ 8 |
Therefore, because of this, I will beg the Lord, and place my eloquence before God.
| که اعمال عظیم و بی‌قیاس می‌کند و عجایب بی‌شمار؛ | ۹ 9 |
He does great and unfathomable and miraculous things without number.
| که بر روی زمین باران می‌باراند، و آب بر روی صخره‌ها جاری می‌سازد، | ۱۰ 10 |
He gives rain over the face of the earth and irrigates all things with the waters.
| تا مسکینان را به مقام بلند برساند، و ماتمیان به سلامتی سرافراشته شوند. | ۱۱ 11 |
He places the humble on high and encourages the grieving towards health.
| که فکرهای حیله گران را باطل می‌سازد، به طوری که دستهای ایشان هیچ کار مفیدنمی تواند کرد. | ۱۲ 12 |
He dispels the thoughts of the spiteful, lest their hands be able to complete what they had begun.
| که حکیمان را در حیله ایشان گرفتار می‌سازد، و مشورت مکاران مشوش می‌شود. | ۱۳ 13 |
He catches the wise in their cleverness and dissipates the counsel of the perverse.
| در روز به تاریکی برمی خورند و به وقت ظهر، مثل شب کورانه راه می‌روند. | ۱۴ 14 |
They will encounter darkness in the daytime, and they will grope at midday just as in the night.
| که مسکین را از شمشیر دهان ایشان، و از دست زورآور نجات می‌دهد. | ۱۵ 15 |
Thereafter, he will act to save the needy from the sword of their mouth, and the poor from the hand of the violent.
| پس امید، برای ذلیل پیدا می‌شود و شرارت دهان خود را می‌بندد. | ۱۶ 16 |
And there will be hope for those in need, for iniquity will diminish its speech.
| «هان، خوشابحال شخصی که خدا تنبیهش می‌کند. پس تادیب قادر مطلق را خوار مشمار. | ۱۷ 17 |
Blessed is the man whom God corrects; therefore, do not reject the chastisement of the Lord.
| زیرا که او مجروح می‌سازد و التیام می‌دهد، ومی کوبد و دست او شفا می‌دهد. | ۱۸ 18 |
For he wounds and he cures; he strikes and his hands will heal.
| در شش بلا، تو را نجات خواهد داد و در هفت بلا، هیچ ضرر برتو نخواهد رسید. | ۱۹ 19 |
He will deliver you into six tribulations, and in the seventh, evil will not touch you.
| در قحط تو را از موت فدیه خواهد داد، و در جنگ از دم شمشیر. | ۲۰ 20 |
During famine, he will rescue you from death, and during war, from the hand of the sword.
| ازتازیانه زبان پنهان خواهی ماند، و چون هلاکت آید، از آن نخواهی ترسید. | ۲۱ 21 |
You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and you will not fear calamity when it arrives.
| بر خرابی وتنگسالی خواهی خندید، و از وحوش زمین بیم نخواهی داشت. | ۲۲ 22 |
In desolation and in famine, you will laugh, and you will not dread the beasts of the earth.
| زیرا با سنگهای صحراهمداستان خواهی بود، و وحوش صحرا با توصلح خواهند کرد. | ۲۳ 23 |
For you are in harmony with the stones of the land, and the beasts of the earth will make peace with you.
| و خواهی دانست که خیمه تو ایمن است، و مسکن خود را تجسس خواهی کرد و چیزی مفقود نخواهی یافت. | ۲۴ 24 |
And you will know that your home has peace, and, concerning your appearance, you will not sin.
| وخواهی دانست که ذریتت کثیر است و اولاد تومثل علف زمین. | ۲۵ 25 |
Likewise, you will know that your offspring will be manifold and your progeny will be like the grass of the earth.
| و در شیخوخیت به قبرخواهی رفت، مثل بافه گندم که در موسمش برداشته می‌شود. | ۲۶ 26 |
You will enter the grave with abundance, just as a crop of wheat is gathered in its time.
| اینک این را تفتیش نمودیم وچنین است، پس تو این را بشنو و برای خویشتن بدان.» | ۲۷ 27 |
Behold, this is just as we have found it, which you have heard; walk it through your mind.
