ایّوب 20
| پس صوفر نعماتی در جواب گفت: | ۱ 1 |
Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
| «از این جهت فکرهایم مرا به جواب دادن تحریک می‌کند و به این سبب، من تعجیل می نمایم. | ۲ 2 |
Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
| سرزنش توبیخ خود را شنیدم، و ازفطانتم روح من مرا جواب می‌دهد. | ۳ 3 |
I have heard the rebuke that reproaches me, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
| آیا این را ازقدیم ندانسته‌ای، از زمانی که انسان بر زمین قرارداده شد، | ۴ 4 |
Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
| که شادی شریران، اندک زمانی است، و خوشی ریاکاران، لحظه‌ای؟ | ۵ 5 |
That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
| اگر‌چه شوکت اوتا به آسمان بلند شود، و سر خود را تا به فلک برافرازد. | ۶ 6 |
Though his excellency shall mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds;
| لیکن مثل فضله خود تا به ابد هلاک خواهد شد، و بینندگانش خواهند گفت: کجااست؟ | ۷ 7 |
Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they who have seen him shall say, Where is he?
| مثل خواب، می‌پرد و یافت نمی شود. ومثل رویای شب، او را خواهند گریزانید. | ۸ 8 |
He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.
| چشمی که او را دیده است دیگر نخواهد دید، ومکانش باز بر او نخواهد نگریست. | ۹ 9 |
The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.
| فرزندانش نزد فقیران تذلل خواهند کرد، و دستهایش دولت او را پس خواهد داد. | ۱۰ 10 |
His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
| استخوانهایش از جوانی پر است، لیکن همراه او در خاک خواهد خوابید. | ۱۱ 11 |
His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
| اگر‌چه شرارت در دهانش شیرین باشد، و آن را زیر زبانش پنهان کند. | ۱۲ 12 |
Though wickedness may be sweet in his mouth, though he may hide it under his tongue;
| اگر‌چه او را دریغ داردو از دست ندهد، و آن را در میان کام خود نگاه دارد. | ۱۳ 13 |
Though he may spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:
| لیکن خوراک او در احشایش تبدیل می‌شود، و در اندرونش زهرمار می‌گردد. | ۱۴ 14 |
Yet his food in his body is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.
| دولت را فرو برده است و آن را قی خواهد کرد، و خدا آن را از شکمش بیرون خواهد نمود. | ۱۵ 15 |
He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
| اوزهر مارها را خواهد مکید، و زبان افعی او راخواهد کشت. | ۱۶ 16 |
He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.
| بر رودخانه‌ها نظر نخواهندکرد، بر نهرها و جویهای شهد و شیر. | ۱۷ 17 |
He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
| ثمره زحمت خود را رد کرده، آن را فرو نخواهد برد، وبرحسب دولتی که کسب کرده است، شادی نخواهد نمود. | ۱۸ 18 |
That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice in it.
| زیرا فقیران را زبون ساخته وترک کرده است. پس خانه‌ای را که دزدیده است، بنا نخواهد کرد. | ۱۹ 19 |
Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he did not build;
| «زیرا که در حرص خود قناعت را ندانست. پس از نفایس خود، چیزی استرداد نخواهد کرد. | ۲۰ 20 |
Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
| چیزی نمانده است که نخورده باشد. پس برخورداری او دوام نخواهد داشت. | ۲۱ 21 |
There shall none of his food be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
| هنگامی که دولت او بی‌نهایت گردد، در تنگی گرفتار می‌شود، و دست همه ذلیلان بر او استیلاخواهد یافت. | ۲۲ 22 |
In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
| در وقتی که شکم خود را پرمی کند، خدا حدت خشم خود را بر او خواهدفرستاد، و حینی که می‌خورد آن را بر او خواهدبارانید. | ۲۳ 23 |
When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
| از اسلحه آهنین خواهد گریخت وکمان برنجین، او را خواهد سفت. | ۲۴ 24 |
He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
| آن رامی کشد و از جسدش بیرون می‌آید، و پیکان براق از زهره‌اش درمی رود و ترسها بر او استیلامی یابد. | ۲۵ 25 |
It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
| تمامی تاریکی برای ذخایر او نگاه داشته شده است. و آتش ندمیده آنها را خواهدسوزانید، و آنچه را که در چادرش باقی است، خواهد خورد. | ۲۶ 26 |
All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tent.
| آسمانها عصیانش را مکشوف خواهد ساخت، و زمین به ضد او خواهدبرخاست. | ۲۷ 27 |
The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
| محصول خانه‌اش زایل خواهد شد، و در روز غضب او نابود خواهد گشت. | ۲۸ 28 |
The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
| این است نصیب مرد شریر از خدا و میراث مقدر او ازقادر مطلق.» | ۲۹ 29 |
This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him by God.
