ارمیا 35

۱ 1 کلامی که از جانب خداوند در ایام یهویاقیم بن یوشیا پادشاه یهودا بر ارمیا نازل شده، گفت:

The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, in the days of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying:

۲ 2 «به خانه رکابیان برو و به ایشان سخن گفته، ایشان را به یکی از حجره های خانه خداوند بیاور و به ایشان شراب بنوشان.»

Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak to them, and bring them into the house of Jehovah, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.

۳ 3 پس یازنیا ابن ارمیا ابن حبصنیا و برادرانش وجمیع پسرانش و تمامی خاندان رکابیان رابرداشتم،

Then I took Jaazaniah, the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites,

۴ 4 و ایشان را به خانه خداوند به حجره پسران حانان بن یجدلیا مرد خدا که به پهلوی حجره سروران و بالای حجره معسیا ابن شلوم، مستحفظ آستانه بود آوردم.

and brought them into the house of Jehovah, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah, the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door.

۵ 5 و کوزه های پر ازشراب و پیاله‌ها پیش رکابیان نهاده، به ایشان گفتم: «شراب بنوشید.»

And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine and cups, and I said to them, “Drink ye wine.”

۶ 6 ایشان گفتند: «شراب نمی نوشیم زیرا که پدرما یوناداب بن رکاب ما را وصیت نموده، گفت که شما و پسران شما ابد شراب ننوشید.

But they said, “We will not drink wine; for Jonadab, the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, ye nor your sons, forever;

۷ 7 و خانه هابنا مکنید و کشت منمایید و تاکستانها غرس مکنید و آنها را نداشته باشید بلکه تمامی روزهای خود را در خیمه‌ها ساکن شوید تا روزهای بسیاربه روی زمینی که شما در آن غریب هستید زنده بمانید.

neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any; but all your days ye shall dwell in tents, that ye may live long in the land wherein ye are strangers.

۸ 8 و ما به سخن پدر خود یوناداب بن رکاب و بهر‌چه او به ما امر فرمود اطاعت نموده، درتمامی عمر خود شراب ننوشیدیم، نه ما و نه زنان ما و نه پسران ما و نه دختران ما.

And we have obeyed the voice of Jonadab, the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he charged us, to drink no wine all our days, neither we, nor our wives, nor our sons, nor our daughters;

۹ 9 و خانه‌ها برای سکونت خود بنا نکردیم و تاکستانها و املاک ومزرعه‌ها برای خود نگرفتیم.

nor to build houses for us to dwell in; neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed;

۱۰ 10 و در خیمه هاساکن شده، اطاعت نمودیم و به آنچه پدر مایوناداب ما را امر فرمود عمل نمودیم.

but we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab, the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us.

۱۱ 11 لیکن وقتی که نبوکدرصر پادشاه بابل به زمین برآمدگفتیم: بیایید از ترس لشکر کلدانیان و لشکرارامیان به اورشلیم داخل شویم پس در اورشلیم ساکن شدیم.»

But it came to pass when Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldaeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we dwell at Jerusalem.”

۱۲ 12 پس کلام خداوند بر ارمیا نازل شده، گفت:

Then came the word of Jehovah to Jeremiah, saying,

۱۳ 13 «یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: برو و به مردان یهودا و ساکنان اورشلیم بگو که خداوند می‌گوید: آیا تادیب نمی پذیرید وبه کلام من گوش نمی گیرید؟

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Go and say to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem: Will ye not receive instruction, to hearken to my words? saith Jehovah.

۱۴ 14 سخنان یوناداب بن رکاب که به پسران خود وصیت نمود که شراب ننوشید استوار گردیده است و تا امروز شراب نمی نوشند و وصیت پدر خود را اطاعت می‌نمایند، اما من به شما سخن گفتم و صبح زودبرخاسته، تکلم نمودم و مرا اطاعت نکردید.

The words of Jonadab, the son of Rechab, in which he commanded his sons not to drink wine, have been performed; for they have drunk no wine to this day, but have obeyed the commandment of their father. I also have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking, but ye have not hearkened to me.

۱۵ 15 وبندگان خود انبیا را نزد شما فرستادم و صبح زودبرخاسته، ایشان را ارسال نموده، گفتم هر کدام ازراه بد خود بازگشت نمایید و اعمال خود رااصلاح کنید و خدایان غیر را پیروی منمایید وآنها را عبادت مکنید تا در زمینی که به شما و به پدران شما داده‌ام ساکن شوید. اما شما گوش نگرفتید و مرا اطاعت ننمودید.

And I have sent to you all my servants, the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every one from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers; but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened to me.

۱۶ 16 پس چونکه پسران یوناداب بن رکاب وصیت پدر خویش راکه به ایشان فرموده است اطاعت می‌نمایند و این قوم مرا اطاعت نمی کنند،

Since then the sons of Jonadab, the son of Rechab, have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, and this people have not hearkened to me;

۱۷ 17 بنابراین یهوه خدای صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: اینک من بر یهودا و بر جمیع سکنه اورشلیم تمامی آن بلا را که درباره ایشان گفته‌ام وارد خواهم آوردزیرا که به ایشان سخن گفتم و نشنیدند و ایشان راخواندم و اجابت ننمودند.»

therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, all the evil which I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them, and they have not hearkened, and I have called to them, and they have not answered.

۱۸ 18 و ارمیا به خاندان رکابیان گفت: «یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: چونکه شما وصیت پدر خود یوناداب را اطاعت نمودیدو جمیع اوامر او را نگاه داشته، بهر‌آنچه او به شماامر فرمود عمل نمودید،

And to the house of the Rechabites Jeremiah said: Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab, your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all which he commanded you,

۱۹ 19 بنابراین یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: ازیوناداب بن رکاب کسی‌که دایم به حضور من بایستد کم نخواهد شد.»

therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: There shall not fail in the land of Jonadab, the son of Rechab, men to stand before me forever.
