ارمیا 26

۱ 1 در ابتدای سلطنت یهویاقیم بن یوشیاپادشاه یهودا این کلام از جانب خداوندنازل شده، گفت:

In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came from the LORD:

۲ 2 «خداوند چنین می‌گوید: درصحن خانه خداوند بایست و به ضد تمامی شهرهای یهودا که به خانه خداوند برای عبادت می‌آیند همه سخنانی را که تو را امر فرمودم که به ایشان بگویی بگو و سخنی کم مکن.

“The LORD says: ‘Stand in the court of the LORD’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah which come to worship in the LORD’s house, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Don’t omit a word.

۳ 3 شایدبشنوند و هر کس از راه بد خویش برگردد تا ازبلایی که من قصد نموده‌ام که به‌سبب اعمال بدایشان به ایشان برسانم پشیمان گردم.

It may be they will listen, and every man turn from his evil way, that I may relent from the evil which I intend to do to them because of the evil of their doings.’”

۴ 4 پس ایشان را بگو: خداوند چنین می‌فرماید: اگر به من گوش ندهید و در شریعت من که پیش شما نهاده‌ام سلوک ننمایید،

You shall tell them, “The LORD says: ‘If you will not listen to me, to walk in my law which I have set before you,

۵ 5 و اگر کلام بندگانم انبیا را که من ایشان را نزد شما فرستادم اطاعت ننمایید با آنکه من صبح زود برخاسته، ایشان را ارسال نمودم اماشما گوش نگرفتید.

to listen to the words of my servants the prophets whom I send to you, even rising up early and sending them—but you have not listened—

۶ 6 آنگاه این خانه را مثل شیلوه خواهم ساخت و این شهر را برای جمیع امت های زمین لعنت خواهم گردانید.»

then I will make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.’”

۷ 7 و کاهنان و انبیا و تمامی قوم، این سخنان راکه ارمیا در خانه خداوند گفت شنیدند.

The priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the LORD’s house.

۸ 8 و چون ارمیا از گفتن هر‌آنچه خداوند او را مامور فرموده بود که به تمامی قوم بگوید فارغ شد، کاهنان وانبیا و تمامی قوم او را گرفته، گفتند: «البته خواهی مرد.

When Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, “You shall surely die!

۹ 9 چرا به اسم یهوه نبوت کرده، گفتی که این خانه مثل شیلوه خواهد شد و این شهر خراب وغیرمسکون خواهد گردید؟» پس تمامی قوم درخانه خداوند نزد ارمیا جمع شدند.

Why have you prophesied in the LORD’s name, saying, ‘This house will be like Shiloh, and this city will be desolate, without inhabitant’?” All the people were crowded around Jeremiah in the LORD’s house.

۱۰ 10 و چون روسای یهودا این چیزها را شنیدنداز خانه پادشاه به خانه خداوند برآمده، به دهنه دروازه جدید خانه خداوند نشستند.

When the princes of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king’s house to the LORD’s house; and they sat in the entry of the new gate of the LORD’s house.

۱۱ 11 پس کاهنان و انبیا، روسا وتمامی قوم را خطاب کرده، گفتند: «این شخص مستوجب قتل است زیراچنانکه به گوشهای خود شنیدید به خلاف این شهر نبوت کرد.»

Then the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes and to all the people, saying, “This man is worthy of death, for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.”

۱۲ 12 پس ارمیا جمیع سروران و تمامی قوم رامخاطب ساخته، گفت: «خداوند مرا فرستاده است تا همه سخنانی را که شنیدید به ضد این خانه و به ضد این شهر نبوت نمایم.

Then Jeremiah spoke to all the princes and to all the people, saying, “The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.

۱۳ 13 پس الان راهها و اعمال خود را اصلاح نمایید و قول یهوه خدای خود را بشنوید تا خداوند از این بلایی که درباره شما فرموده است پشیمان شود.

Now therefore amend your ways and your doings, and obey the LORD your God’s voice; then the LORD will relent from the evil that he has pronounced against you.

۱۴ 14 اما من اینک در دست شما هستم موافق آنچه در نظرشما پسند و صواب آید بعمل آرید.

But as for me, behold, I am in your hand. Do with me what is good and right in your eyes.

۱۵ 15 لیکن اگر شما مرا به قتل رسانید یقین بدانید که خون بی‌گناهی را بر خویشتن و بر این شهر و ساکنانش وارد خواهید آورد. زیرا حقیقت خداوند مرا نزدشما فرستاده است تا همه این سخنان را به گوش شما برسانم.»

Only know for certain that if you put me to death, you will bring innocent blood on yourselves, on this city, and on its inhabitants; for in truth the LORD has sent me to you to speak all these words in your ears.”

۱۶ 16 آنگاه روسا و تمامی قوم به کاهنان و انبیاگفتند که «این مرد مستوجب قتل نیست زیرا به اسم یهوه خدای ما به ما سخن گفته است.»

Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets: “This man is not worthy of death; for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.”

۱۷ 17 وبعضی از مشایخ زمین برخاسته، تمامی جماعت قوم را خطاب کرده، گفتند

Then certain of the elders of the land rose up, and spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying,

۱۸ 18 که «میکای مورشتی در ایام حزقیا پادشاه یهودا نبوت کرد وبه تمامی قوم یهودا تکلم نموده، گفت: یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید که صهیون را مثل مزرعه شیار خواهند کرد و اورشلیم خراب شده، کوه این خانه به بلندیهای جنگل مبدل خواهد گردید.

“Micah the Morashtite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, ‘The LORD of Armies says: “‘Zion will be ploughed as a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.’

۱۹ 19 آیا حزقیا پادشاه یهودا و تمامی یهودا او راکشتند؟ نی بلکه از خداوند بترسید و نزد خداونداستدعا نمود و خداوند از آن بلایی که درباره ایشان گفته بود پشیمان گردید. پس ما بلای عظیمی بر جان خود وارد خواهیم آورد.»

Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Didn’t he fear the LORD, and entreat the favour of the LORD, and the LORD relented of the disaster which he had pronounced against them? We would commit great evil against our own souls that way!”

۲۰ 20 و نیز شخصی اوریا نام ابن شمعیا از قریت یعاریم بود که به نام یهوه نبوت کرد و او به ضد این شهر و این زمین موافق همه سخنان ارمیا نبوت کرد.

There was also a man who prophesied in the LORD’s name, Uriah the son of Shemaiah of Kiriath Jearim; and he prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah.

۲۱ 21 و چون یهویاقیم پادشاه و جمیع شجاعانش و تمامی سرورانش سخنان او راشنیدند پادشاه قصد جان او نمود و چون اوریا این را شنید بترسید و فرار کرده، به مصر رفت.

When Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men and all the princes heard his words, the king sought to put him to death; but when Uriah heard it, he was afraid, and fled, and went into Egypt.

۲۲ 22 ویهویاقیم پادشاه کسان به مصر فرستاد یعنی الناتان بن عکبور و چند نفر را با او به مصر(فرستاد).

Then Jehoiakim the king sent Elnathan the son of Achbor and certain men with him into Egypt.

۲۳ 23 و ایشان اوریا را از مصر بیرون آورده، او را نزد یهویاقیم پادشاه رسانیدند و او رابه شمشیر کشته، بدن او را به قبرستان عوام الناس انداخت.

They fetched Uriah out of Egypt and brought him to Jehoiakim the king, who killed him with the sword and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.

۲۴ 24 لیکن دست اخیقام بن شافان با ارمیابود تا او را به‌دست قوم نسپارند که او را به قتل رسانند.

But the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, so that they didn’t give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.
