هوشع 6

۱ 1 بیایید نزد خداوند بازگشت نماییم زیرا که او دریده است و ما را شفا خواهد داد؛ اوزده است و ما را شکسته بندی خواهد نمود.

In their tribulation, they will arise early to me. Come, let us return to the Lord.

۲ 2 بعداز دو روز ما را زنده خواهد کرد. در روز سوم ما راخواهد برخیزانید و در حضور او زیست خواهیم نمود.

For he has seized us, and he will heal us. He will strike, and he will cure us.

۳ 3 پس خداوند را بشناسیم و به جد و جهدمعرفت او را تعاقب نماییم. طلوع او مثل فجریقین است و بر ما مثل باران و مانند باران آخر که زمین را سیراب می‌کند خواهد آمد.

He will revive us after two days; on the third day he will raise us up, and we will live in his sight. We will understand, and we will continue on, so that we may know the Lord. His landing place has been prepared like the first light of morning, and he will come to us like the early and the late rains of the land.

۴ 4 ‌ای افرایم با تو چه کنم؟ ای یهودا با تو چه کنم؟ زیرا نیکویی تو مثل ابرهای صبح و مانند شبنم است که بزودی می‌گذرد.

What am I to do with you, Ephraim? What am I to do with you, Judah? Your mercy is like the morning mist, and like the dew passing away in the morning.

۵ 5 بنابراین من ایشان را بوسیله انبیا قطع نمودم و به سخنان دهان خود ایشان را کشتم و داوری من مثل نور ساطع می‌شود.

Because of this, I have cut them with the prophets, I have slain them with the words of my mouth; and your opinions will depart like the light.

۶ 6 زیرا که رحمت را پسند کردم و نه قربانی را و معرفت خدا را بیشتر از قربانی های سوختنی.

For I desired mercy and not sacrifice, and knowledge of God more than holocausts.

۷ 7 اما ایشان مثل آدم از عهد تجاوزنمودند و درآنجا به من خیانت ورزیدند.

But they, like Adam, have transgressed the covenant; in this, they have been dishonest with me.

۸ 8 جلعادشهر گناهکاران و خون آلود است.

Gilead is a city that manufactures idols; it has been tripped up by family relations.

۹ 9 و چنانکه رهزنان برای مردم در کمین می‌باشند، همچنان جمعیت کاهنان در راه شکیم می‌کشند زیرا که ایشان مرتکب قباحت شده‌اند.

And, like those who rob with skillful words, they, by conspiring with the priests, bring a death sentence to travelers on a pilgrimage from Shechem; for they have been performing evil deeds.

۱۰ 10 در خاندان اسرائیل عملی هولناک دیدم: افرایم در آنجامرتکب زنا شده، اسرائیل خویشتن را نجس ساخته است.

I have seen horrible things in the house of Israel; the fornications of Ephraim are there. Israel has been contaminated.

۱۱ 11 و برای تو نیز‌ای یهودا حصادی معین شده است هنگامی که اسیری قوم خود راخواهم برگردانید.

But you, Judah, set a harvest for yourself, while I reverse the captivity of my people.
