هوشع 4

۱ 1 ای بنی‌اسرائیل کلام خداوند را بشنویدزیرا خداوند را با ساکنان زمین محاکمه‌ای است چونکه نه راستی و نه رافت و نه معرفت خدادر زمین می‌باشد.

Hear the word of the LORD, O children of Israel, for the LORD has a case against the people of the land: “There is no truth, no loving devotion, and no knowledge of God in the land!

۲ 2 بلکه لعنت و دروغ و قتل ودزدی و زناکاری. و تعدی می‌نمایند و خونریزی به خونریزی ملحق می‌شود.

Cursing and lying, murder and stealing, and adultery are rampant; one act of bloodshed follows another.

۳ 3 بنابراین، زمین ماتم می‌کند و همه ساکنانش با حیوانات صحرا ومرغان هوا کاهیده می‌شوند و ماهیان دریا نیز تلف می‌گردند.

Therefore the land mourns, and all who dwell in it will waste away with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air; even the fish of the sea disappear.

۴ 4 اما احدی مجادله ننماید و احدی توبیخ نکند، زیرا که قوم تو مثل مجادله کنندگان باکاهنان می‌باشند.

But let no man contend; let no man offer reproof; for your people are like those who contend with a priest.

۵ 5 و تو در وقت روز خواهی لغزید و نبی نیز با تو در وقت شب خواهد لغزید ومن مادر تو را هلاک خواهم ساخت.

You will stumble by day, and the prophet will stumble with you by night; so I will destroy your mother—

۶ 6 قوم من از عدم معرفت هلاک شده‌اند. چونکه تو معرفت را ترک نمودی من نیز تو را ترک نمودم که برای من کاهن نشوی و چونکه شریعت خدای خود را فراموش کردی من نیز فرزندان تورا فراموش خواهم نمود.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

۷ 7 هر قدر که ایشان افزوده شدند، همان قدر به من گناه ورزیدند. پس جلال ایشان را به رسوایی مبدل خواهم ساخت.

The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; they exchanged their Glory for a thing of disgrace.

۸ 8 گناه قوم مرا خوراک خود ساختند و دل خویش را به عصیان ایشان مشغول نمودند.

They feed on the sins of My people and set their hearts on iniquity.

۹ 9 و کاهنان مثل قوم خواهند بود و عقوبت راههای ایشان رابر ایشان خواهم رسانید و جزای اعمال ایشان رابه ایشان خواهم داد.

And it shall be like people, like priest. I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.

۱۰ 10 و خواهند خورد اما سیرنخواهد شد و زنا خواهند کرد، اما افزوده نخواهند گردید زیرا که عبادت خداوند را ترک نموده‌اند.

They will eat but not be satisfied; they will be promiscuous but not multiply. For they have stopped obeying the LORD.

۱۱ 11 زنا و شراب و شیره دل ایشان رامی رباید.

Promiscuity, wine, and new wine take away understanding.

۱۲ 12 قوم من از چوب خود مسئلت می‌کنند وعصای ایشان بدیشان خبر می‌دهد. زیرا که روح زناکاری ایشان را گمراه کرده است و از اطاعت خدای خود زنا کرده‌اند.

My people consult their wooden idols, and their divining rods inform them. For a spirit of prostitution leads them astray and they have played the harlot against their God.

۱۳ 13 بر قله های کوههاقربانی می‌گذرانند و بر تلها زیر درختان بلوط وسفیددار و ون، چونکه سایه خوب دارد، بخورمی سوزانند. از این جهت دختران شما زنامی کنند و عروسهای شما فاحشه گری می‌نمایند.

They sacrifice on the mountaintops and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar, and terebinth, because their shade is pleasant. And so your daughters turn to prostitution and your daughters-in-law to adultery.

۱۴ 14 و من دختران شما را حینی که زنا می‌کنند وعروسهای شما را حینی که فاحشه گری می‌نمایند سزا نخواهم داد زیرا که خود ایشان بازانیه‌ها عزلت می‌گزینند و با فاحشه‌ها قربانی می‌گذرانند. پس قومی که فهم ندارند خواهندافتاد.

I will not punish your daughters when they prostitute themselves, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery. For the men themselves go off with prostitutes and offer sacrifices with shrine prostitutes. So a people without understanding will come to ruin.

۱۵ 15 ‌ای اسرائیل اگر تو زنا می‌کنی، یهودامرتکب جرم نشود. پس به جلجال نروید و به بیت آون برنیایید و به حیات یهوه قسم نخورید.

Though you prostitute yourself, O Israel, may Judah avoid such guilt! Do not journey to Gilgal, do not go up to Beth-aven, and do not swear on oath, ‘As surely as the LORD lives!’

۱۶ 16 به درستی که اسرائیل مثل گاو سرکش، سرکشی نموده است. الان خداوند ایشان را مثل بره‌ها درمرتع وسیع خواهد چرانید.

For Israel is as obstinate as a stubborn heifer. Can the LORD now shepherd them like lambs in an open meadow?

۱۷ 17 افرایم به بتهاملصق شده است؛ پس او را واگذارید.

Ephraim is joined to idols; leave him alone!

۱۸ 18 حینی که بزم ایشان تمام شود مرتکب زنا می‌شوند وحاکمان ایشان افتضاح را بسیار دوست می‌دارند.

When their liquor is gone, they turn to prostitution; their rulers dearly love disgrace.

۱۹ 19 باد ایشان را در بالهای خود فرو خواهد پیچیدو ایشان از قربانی های خویش خجل خواهندشد.

The whirlwind has wrapped them in its wings, and their sacrifices will bring them shame.
