هوشع 13

۱ 1 هنگامی که افرایم به لرزه سخن گفت، خویشتن را در اسرائیل مرتفع نمود؛ اماچون در امر بعل مجرم شد، بمرد.

When Ephraim, spake, there was terror, exalted was, he, in Israel, —but, when he became guilty with Baal, then he died.

۲ 2 و الان گناهان می‌افزایند و از نقره خود بتهای ریخته شده وتماثیل موافق عقل خود می‌سازند که همه آنهاعمل صنعتگران می‌باشد و درباره آنها می‌گویندکه اشخاصی که قربانی می‌گذرانند گوساله‌ها راببوسند.

Now, therefore they go on to sin, and have made them a Molten Thing out of their silver, after the notion of idols, the workmanship of craftsmen, all of it! Of them, are they saying—Ye sacrificers of men! The Great Calf, shall ye surely kiss!

۳ 3 بنابراین، ایشان مثل ابرهای صبح ومانند شبنمی که بزودی می‌گذرد، هستند. و مثل کاه که از خرمن پراکنده شود و مانند دود که ازروزن برآید.

Therefore, shall they become like the morning cloud, and like the dew early departing, —like chaff storm-driven out of the threshing-floor, and like smoke out of a chimney.

۴ 4 اما من از زمین مصر (تا حال ) یهوه خدای توهستم و غیر از من خدای دیگر را نمی شناسی وسوای من نجات‌دهنده‌ای نیست.

Yet, I, Yahweh, have been thy God from the land of Egypt, —and, god beside me, shalt thou not acknowledge, for, saviour, is there none besides me.

۵ 5 من تو را دربیابان در زمین بسیار خشک شناختم.

I, tended thee in the desert, —in a land parched with drought:

۶ 6 چون چریدند، سیر شدند و چون سیر شدند، دل ایشان مغرور گردید و از این جهت مرا فراموش کردند.

Whenever they were pastured, then were they satisfied, They were satisfied, and their heart, was lifted up, —because of this, they forgat me.

۷ 7 پس من برای ایشان مثل شیر خواهم بود و مانندپلنگ به‌سر راه در کمین خواهم نشست.

Therefore am I become to them as a lion, —As a leopard by the way, do I watch.

۸ 8 و مثل خرسی که بچه هایش را از وی ربوده باشد، بر ایشان حمله خواهم آورد و پرده دل ایشان راخواهم درید و مثل شیر ایشان را در آنجاخواهم خورد و حیوانات صحرا ایشان راخواهند درید.

I will fall upon them as a bear bereaved, and will read asunder the enclosure of their heart, —that I may devour them there, like a lioness, the wild beast of the field, shall tear them in pieces.

۹ 9 ‌ای اسرائیل هلاک شدی، اما معاونت تو بامن است.

It hath utterly destroyed thee, O Israel, for it was against me, as thy helper!

۱۰ 10 الان پادشاه تو کجاست تا تو را درتمامی شهرهایت معاونت کند و داورانت (کجایند) که درباره آنها گفتی پادشاه و سروران به من بده؟

Where is thy king, then, that he may save thee throughout all thy cities? and thy judges, concerning whom thou saidst, Oh give me a king and rulers?

۱۱ 11 از غضب خود، پادشاهی به تو دادم واز خشم خویش او را برداشتم.

I might give thee a king in mine anger, and take him away in my wrath.

۱۲ 12 عصیان افرایم بسته شده و گناه او مخزون گردیده است.

Bound up, is the iniquity of Ephraim, stored away, his sin.

۱۳ 13 دردهای زه مثل زنی که می‌زاید بروی آمده است و او پسری نادانشمند است زیرا در وقتش، در جای تولد فرزندان نمی ایستد.

The pangs of a woman in labour, shall overtake him, —he, is a son, not wise, for, now, he cannot stand still, when children are about to be born.

۱۴ 14 من ایشان را از دست هاویه فدیه خواهم داد و ایشان را از موت نجات خواهم بخشید. ای موت ضربات تو کجاست و‌ای هاویه هلاکت تو کجا است؟ پشیمانی از چشمان من مستور شده است. (Sheol h7585)

Out of the hand of hades, will I ransom them, out of death, will I redeem them, —Where is thy pestilence, O death? Where thy plague, O hades? Repentance, shall be hid from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)

۱۵ 15 اگر‌چه در میان برادرانش ثمر آورد، اما باد شرقی می‌وزد وباد خداوند از بیابان برمی آید و منبع اوخشک می‌گردد و چشمه‌اش می‌خشکد و اوگنج تمامی اسباب نفیسه وی را تاراج می‌نماید.

Though, he, among brethren, be fruitful, there shall come in an east wind, the blast of Yahweh out of the desert coming up, that his spring, may dry up, and his fountain, be exhausted, he, will rob the treasure-house of all the vessels of delight.

۱۶ 16 سامره متحمل گناه خود خواهدشد، زیرا به خدای خود فتنه انگیخته است. ایشان به شمشیر خواهند افتاد و اطفال ایشان خرد و زنان حامله ایشان شکم دریده خواهندشد.

Samaria, shall be held guilty, for she hath rebelled against her God, By the sword, shall they fall, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, and, his women with child, shall be ripped up.
