| و وقت عصر، آن دو فرشته وارد سدوم شدند، و لوط به دروازه سدوم نشسته بود. و چون لوط ایشان را بدید، به استقبال ایشان برخاسته، رو بر زمین نهاد | ۱ 1 |
So the two messengers went in towards Sodom at eventide, Lot, being seated in the gate of Sodom, —so Lot beheld and rose up to meet them, and bowed himself with his face to the earth.
| و گفت: «اینک اکنون‌ای آقایان من، به خانه بنده خود بیایید، و شب رابسر برید، و پایهای خود را بشویید و بامدادان برخاسته، راه خود را پیش گیرید.» گفتند: «نی، بلکه شب را در کوچه بسر بریم.» | ۲ 2 |
And he said Behold, I pray you my lords turn aside, I pray you, into the house of your servant, —and tarry the night and bathe your feet, so shall ye rise early, and go on your way. And they said, Nay, but, in the broad way, will we tarry the night.
| اما چون ایشان را الحاح بسیار نمود، با او آمده، به خانه‌اش داخل شدند، و برای ایشان ضیافتی نمود و نان فطیرپخت، پس تناول کردند. | ۳ 3 |
But he became exceeding urgent with them, so they turned aside unto him and entered into his house, —and he made for them a banquet, unleavened cakes, also did he bake, and they did eat.
| و به خواب هنوز نرفته بودند که مردان شهر، یعنی مردم سدوم، از جوان و پیر، تمام قوم از هر جانب، خانه وی را احاطه کردند. | ۴ 4 |
Ere yet they lay down, the men of the city—the men of Sodom, had come round against the house, from youth even unto age, —all the people from every quarter,
| و به لوط ندا در‌داده، گفتند: «آن دو مرد که امشب به نزد تو درآمدند، کجا هستند؟ آنها رانزد ما بیرون آور تا ایشان را بشناسیم.» | ۵ 5 |
And they called unto Lot and said to him, Where are the men who have come in unto thee tonight? Bring them forth unto us, and let us know them!
| آنگاه لوط نزد ایشان، بدرگاه بیرون آمد و در را از عقب خود ببست | ۶ 6 |
And Lot went forth unto them to the entrance; but the door, closed he behind him.
| و گفت: «ای برادران من، زنهار بدی مکنید. | ۷ 7 |
And he said, —Do not I pray you my brethren act wickedly.
| اینک من دو دختر دارم که مرد رانشناخته‌اند. ایشان را الان نزد شما بیرون آورم وآنچه در نظر شما پسند آید، با ایشان بکنید. لکن کاری بدین دو مرد ندارید، زیرا که برای همین زیرسایه سقف من آمده‌اند.» | ۸ 8 |
Behold, I pray you, I, have two daughters who have not known man, I must needs now bring, them, forth unto you, and do ye to them, as may be good in your eyes, —Only to these men, ye may do nothing; for on this account, have they come under the shade of my roof.
| گفتند: «دور شو.» وگفتند: «این یکی آمد تا نزیل ما شود و پیوسته داوری می‌کند. الان با تو از ایشان بدتر کنیم.» پس بر آن مرد، یعنی لوط، بشدت هجوم آورده، نزدیک آمدند تا در را بشکنند. | ۹ 9 |
And they said, Stand back, And they said, This one, by himself, hath come in to sojourn and must always be acting the judge, Now, will we do more wickedly to thee, than to them. So they pressed sore upon the man—upon Lot—exceedingly, and drew near to break open the door.
| آنگاه آن دو مرد، دست خود را پیش آورده، لوط را نزد خود به خانه درآوردند و در رابستند. | ۱۰ 10 |
And the men thrust forth their hand, and brought Lot in unto them into the house—and, the door, they closed:
| اما آن اشخاصی را که به در خانه بودند، از خرد و بزرگ، به کوری مبتلا کردند، که ازجستن در، خویشتن را خسته ساختند. | ۱۱ 11 |
the men also who were at the entrance of the house, smote they with blindness, from small even unto great, so that they wearied themselves to find the entrance.
| و آن دومرد به لوط گفتند: «آیا کسی دیگر دراینجا داری؟ دامادان و پسران و دختران خود و هر‌که را درشهر داری، از این مکان بیرون آور، | ۱۲ 12 |
And the men said unto Lot, Whom besides hast thou here? Son-in-law and thy sons and thy daughters, and all that thou hast in the city, bring thou forth out of the place;
| زیرا که مااین مکان را هلاک خواهیم ساخت، چونکه فریادشدید ایشان به حضور خداوند رسیده و خداوندما را فرستاده است تا آن را هلاک کنیم.» | ۱۳ 13 |
For we are about to destroy this place, —for, great, is the outcry of them unto the face of Yahweh, so that Yahweh hath sent us to destroy it.
| پس لوط بیرون رفته، با دامادان خود که دختران او راگرفتند، مکالمه کرده، گفت: «برخیزید و از این مکان بیرون شوید، زیرا خداوند این شهر را هلاک می‌کند.» اما بنظر دامادان مسخره آمد. | ۱۴ 14 |
And Lot went forth and spake unto his sons-in-law who were about to take his two daughters and said Arise come forth out of this place, for Yahweh is about to destroy the city. And it came to pass, that he was as one that laughed, in the eyes of his sons-in-law.
| و هنگام طلوع فجر، آن دو فرشته، لوط را شتابانیده، گفتند: «برخیز و زن خود را با این دودختر که حاضرند بردار، مبادا در گناه شهر هلاک شوی.» | ۱۵ 15 |
But as soon as, the dawn had sprung up, the messengers hastened Lot saying, —Arise! take thy wife and thy two daughters that are at hand, lest thou be swept away in the punishment of the city.
| و چون تاخیر می‌نمود، آن مردان، دست او و دست زنش و دست هر دو دخترش راگرفتند، چونکه خداوند بر وی شفقت نمود و اورا بیرون آورده، در خارج شهر گذاشتند. | ۱۶ 16 |
And he lingered—so the men laid hold of his hand and of the hand of his wife and of the hand of his two daughters, in the tenderness of Yahweh towards him, —and they brought him out and led him forth outside the city.
| وواقع شد چون ایشان را بیرون آورده بودند که یکی به وی گفت: «جان خود را دریاب و از عقب منگر، و در تمام وادی مایست، بلکه به کوه بگریز، مبادا هلاک شوی.» | ۱۷ 17 |
And it came to pass when they had brought them forth outside, that they said, Escape for thy life, Look not behind thee, neither stand still in all the vale, —To the mountain, escape thou lest thou be swept away.
| لوط بدیشان گفت: «ای آقاچنین مباد! | ۱۸ 18 |
And Lot said unto them, —No, I pray thee, My Lord!
| همانا بنده ات در نظرت التفات یافته است و احسانی عظیم به من کردی که جانم را رستگار ساختی، و من قدرت آن ندارم که به کوه فرار کنم، مبادا این بلا مرا فرو‌گیرد و بمیرم. | ۱۹ 19 |
Behold, I pray thee thy servant hath found favour in thine eyes, so that thou hast magnified thy lovingkindness which thou hast performed with me in keeping alive my soul.—But, I, cannot escape to the mountain, lest calamity overtake me so shall I die.
| اینک این شهر نزدیک است تا بدان فرار کنم، ونیز صغیر است. اذن بده تا بدان فرار کنم. آیا صغیرنیست، تا جانم زنده ماند.» | ۲۰ 20 |
Behold, I pray thee, this city, is near for fleeing thither And, it, is a little one, let me I pray thee, escape thither—is it not a, little, one? That my soul may live!
| بدو گفت: «اینک دراین امر نیز تو را اجابت فرمودم، تا شهری را که سفارش آن را نمودی، واژگون نسازم. | ۲۱ 21 |
And he said unto him, Behold! I have lifted up thy countenance, even as to this thing, —so that I will not overthrow the city, of which thou hast spoken.
| بدان جابزودی فرار کن، زیرا که تا تو بدانجا نرسی، هیچ نمی توانم کرد.» از این سبب آن شهر مسمی به صوغر شد. | ۲۲ 22 |
Haste thee escape thither, for I cannot do anything, until thou have come in thither. For this cause: was the name of the city called Zoar.
| و چون آفتاب بر زمین طلوع کرد، لوط به صوغر داخل شد. | ۲۳ 23 |
When, the sun, had come forth on the earth, Lot had entered into Zoar.
| آنگاه خداوند برسدوم و عموره، گوگرد و آتش، از حضورخداوند از آسمان بارانید. | ۲۴ 24 |
And, Yahweh, rained, upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah, brimstone and fire, —from Yahweh, out of the heavens:
| و آن شهرها، و تمام وادی، و جمیع سکنه شهرها و نباتات زمین راواژگون ساخت. | ۲۵ 25 |
so he overthrew these cities, and all the circuit, —and all the inhabitants of the cities, and the produce of the ground.
| اما زن او، از عقب خودنگریسته، ستونی از نمک گردید. | ۲۶ 26 |
But his wife looked from behind him, —and became—a pillar of salt.
| بامدادان، ابراهیم برخاست و به سوی آن مکانی که در آن به حضور خداوند ایستاده بود، رفت. | ۲۷ 27 |
And Abraham gat up early in the morning, unto the place where he had stood before Yahweh;
| و چون به سوی سدوم و عموره، و تمام زمین وادی نظر انداخت، دید که اینک دود آن زمین، چون دود کوره بالا می‌رود. | ۲۸ 28 |
and he looked out over the face of Sodom and Gomorrah, and over all the face of the land of the circuit, and beheld and lo! the smoke of the land went up, like the smoke of a furnace.
| و هنگامی که خدا، شهرهای وادی را هلاک کرد، خدا، ابراهیم را به یاد آورد، و لوط را از آن انقلاب بیرون آورد، چون آن شهرهایی را که لوط در آنهاساکن بود، واژگون ساخت. | ۲۹ 29 |
And it came to pass when God destroyed the cities of the circuit, that God remembered Abraham, and sent forth Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities wherein Lot had dwelt.
| و لوط از صوغر برآمد و با دو دختر خوددر کوه ساکن شد زیرا ترسید که در صوغر بماند. پس با دو دختر خود در مغاره سکنی گرفت. | ۳۰ 30 |
And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain and his two daughters with him. for he feared to dwell in Zoar, so he dwelt in a cave, he, and his two daughters.
| ودختر بزرگ به کوچک گفت: «پدر ما پیر شده ومردی بر روی زمین نیست که برحسب عادت کل جهان، به ما در‌آید. | ۳۱ 31 |
And the firstborn said unto the younger. Our father is old, —and, a man, there is not in the earth to come in unto us, after the way of all the earth.
| بیا تا پدر خود را شراب بنوشانیم، و با او هم بستر شویم، تا نسلی از پدرخود نگاه داریم.» | ۳۲ 32 |
Come on! let us cause our father to drink wine and let us lie with him, that we may keep alive from our father, a seed.
| پس در همان شب، پدر خودرا شراب نوشانیدند، و دختر بزرگ آمده با پدرخویش همخواب شد، و او از خوابیدن وبرخاستن وی آگاه نشد. | ۳۳ 33 |
So they caused their father to drink wine that night, —and the firstborn went in. and lay with her father, but he noticed not her lying down nor her rising up.
| و واقع شد که روزدیگر، بزرگ به کوچک گفت: «اینک دوش با پدرم همخواب شدم، امشب نیز او را شراب بنوشانیم، و تو بیا و با وی همخواب شو، تا نسلی از پدرخود نگاه داریم.» | ۳۴ 34 |
And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Lo! I lay, last night with my father, let us cause him to drink wine this night also, and go thou in—lie with him, that we may keep alive from our father, a seed.
| آن شب نیز پدر خود راشراب نوشانیدند، و دختر کوچک همخواب وی شد، و او از خوابیدن و برخاستن وی آگاه نشد. | ۳۵ 35 |
So they caused their father, on that night also to drink wine, and the younger arose, and lay with him, but he noticed not her lying down, nor her rising up.
| پس هر دو دختر لوط از پدر خود حامله شدند. | ۳۶ 36 |
Thus did, the two daughters of Lot conceive from their father.
| و آن بزرگ، پسری زاییده، او را موآب نام نهاد، و او تا امروز پدر موآبیان است. | ۳۷ 37 |
And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab, —the same, is the father of Moab, unto this day.
| و کوچک نیز پسری بزاد، و او را بن عمی نام نهاد. وی تا بحال پدر بنی عمون است. | ۳۸ 38 |
And the younger she also bare a son, and called his name Ben-ammi, —the same, is the father of the sons of Ammon—unto this day.
