پیدایش 14

۱ 1 و واقع شد در ایام امرافل، ملک شنعار، و اریوک، ملک الاسار، و کدرلاعمر، ملک عیلام، و تدعال، ملک امت‌ها،

And it came to pass, in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, Arioch, king of Ellasar, —Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goim,

۲ 2 که ایشان بابارع، ملک سدوم، و برشاع ملک عموره، وشناب، ملک ادمه، و شمئیبر، ملک صبوئیم، وملک بالع که صوغر باشد، جنگ کردند.

that they made war, with Bera, king of Sodom, and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah, —Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela—the same, is Zoar.

۳ 3 این همه در وادی سدیم که بحرالملح باشد، با هم پیوستند.

All these, joined together in the valley of the open fields, the same, is the Salt Sea.

۴ 4 دوازده سال، کدرلاعمر را بندگی کردند، و در سال سیزدهم، بر وی شوریدند.

Twelve years, had they served Chedorlaomer, —but in the thirteenth year had they rebelled;

۵ 5 ودر سال چهاردهم، کدرلاعمر با ملوکی که با وی بودند، آمده، رفائیان را در عشتروت قرنین، وزوزیان را در هام، و ایمیان را در شاوه قریتین، شکست دادند.

and in the fourteenth year, had Chedorlaomer come in and the kings who were with him, so they smote the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, —and the Emim, in Shaveh-kiriathaim;

۶ 6 و حوریان را در کوه ایشان، سعیر، تا ایل فاران که متصل به صحراست.

and the Horites in their Mount Seir, —as far as El-paran, which is by the desert.

۷ 7 پس برگشته، به عین مشفاط که قادش باشد، آمدند، وتمام مرز و بوم عمالقه و اموریان را نیز که درحصون تامار ساکن بودند، شکست دادند.

So they returned and came in unto En-mishpat, the same, is Kadish, and smote all the field of the Amalekites, —and the Amorites also that dwelt in Hazazon-tamar,

۸ 8 آنگاه ملک سدوم و ملک عموره و ملک ادمه و ملک صبوئیم و ملک بالع که صوغر باشد، بیرون آمده، با ایشان در وادی سدیم، صف آرایی نمودند.

Thus then went forth the King of Sodom and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela the same, is Zoar—and set themselves in array against them for battle, in the valley of the open fields:

۹ 9 باکدرلاعمر ملک عیلام و تدعال، ملک امت‌ها وامرافل، ملک شنعار و اریوک ملک الاسار، چهارملک با پنج.

against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar, —four kings against five.

۱۰ 10 و وادی سدیم پر از چاههای قیربود. پس ملوک سدوم و عموره گریخته، در آنجاافتادند و باقیان به کوه فرار کردند.

Now, the valley of the open fields, had many pits of bitumen, so the king of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there, —while, they who remained, towards a mountain, fled.

۱۱ 11 و جمیع اموال سدوم و عموره را با تمامی ماکولات آنهاگرفته، برفتند.

And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food and went their way.

۱۲ 12 و لوط، برادرزاده ابرام را که درسدوم ساکن بود، با آنچه داشت برداشته، رفتند.

And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son with his goods, and went their way, —he, being a dweller in Sodom.

۱۳ 13 و یکی که نجات یافته بود آمده، ابرام عبرانی را خبر داد. و او در بلوطستان ممری آموری که برادر اشکول و عانر بود، ساکن بود. وایشان با ابرام هم عهد بودند.

Then came in a fugitive, and told Abram the Hebrew, —he, having his dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, they, also having a covenant with Abram.

۱۴ 14 چون ابرام ازاسیری برادر خود آگاهی یافت، سیصد و هجده تن از خانه زادان کارآزموده خود را بیرون آورده، در عقب ایشان تا دان بتاخت.

So Abram, hearing that his brother had been taken captive, drew forth his trained men born in his house three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.

۱۵ 15 شبانگاه، او وملازمانش، بر ایشان فرقه فرقه شده، ایشان راشکست داده، تا به حوبه که به شمال دمشق واقع است، تعاقب نمودند.

And he divided himself against them by night, he, and his servants, and smote them, —and pursued them as far as Hobah, which was on the left of Damascus.

۱۶ 16 و همه اموال را بازگرفت، و برادر خود، لوط و اموال او را نیز با زنان و مردان باز آورد.

So he brought back all the goods, —yea Lot also his brother with his goods, did he bring back, and the women also, and the people.

۱۷ 17 و بعد از مراجعت وی از شکست دادن کدرلاعمر و ملوکی که با وی بودند، ملک سدوم تابه وادی شاوه، که وادی الملک باشد، به استقبال وی بیرون آمد.

Then came forth the king of Sodom to meet him, after his return from the smiting of Chedorlaomer, and the kings who were with him, —into the vale of Shaveh the same, was the vale of the king.

۱۸ 18 و ملکیصدق، ملک سالیم، نان و شراب بیرون آورد. و او کاهن خدای تعالی بود،

Now Melchizedek king of Salem, had brought forth bread and wine, —he, being priest of GOD Most High.

۱۹ 19 و او را مبارک خوانده، گفت: «مبارک باد ابرام ازجانب خدای تعالی، مالک آسمان و زمین.

So he blessed him and said, —Blessed be Abram of GOD Most High, possessor of [the] heavens and earth;

۲۰ 20 و متبارک باد خدای تعالی، که دشمنانت را به‌دستت تسلیم کرد.» و او را از هر چیز، ده‌یک داد.

And blessed be GOD Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. So he gave unto him a tenth of all.

۲۱ 21 و ملک سدوم به ابرام گفت: «مردم را به من واگذار و اموال را برای خود نگاه دار.»

Then said the king of Sodom unto Abram, —Give unto me the persons, but the goods, take thou for thyself.

۲۲ 22 ابرام به ملک سدوم گفت: «دست خود را به یهوه خدای تعالی، مالک آسمان و زمین، برافراشتم،

And Abram said unto the king of Sodom, —I have lifted up my hand unto Yahweh GOD Most High, possessor of [the] heavens and earth:

۲۳ 23 که ازاموال تو رشته‌ای یا دوال نعلینی بر نگیرم، مباداگویی “من ابرام را دولتمند ساختم”.

That not from a thread even unto a sandal-thong, —will I take, anything, that is thine, —Lest thou shouldst say, I, enriched Abram!

۲۴ 24 مگر فقطآنچه جوانان خوردند و بهره عانر و اشکول وممری که همراه من رفتند، ایشان بهره خود رابردارند.»

Save only what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre, they may take their share.
