حزقیال 1

۱ 1 و روز پنجم ماه چهارم سال سی‌ام، چون من در میان اسیران نزد نهر خابور بودم، واقع شد که آسمان گشوده گردید و رویاهای خدارا دیدم.

[I am] Ezekiel, a priest, the son of Buzi. When I was 30 years [old], I [living] among [Israeli] people who had been (exiled from/forced to leave) [and had come to Babylon]. I was living along the Kebar River/ [south of Babylon]. Almost five years after King Jehoiachin had been (exiled/forced to leave Judah), on the fifth day of the fourth [of that year, it was as though] the sky was opened and I saw visions from God. On that day,

۲ 2 در پنجم آن ماه که سال پنجم اسیری یهویاکین پادشاه بود،

۳ 3 کلام یهوه بر حزقیال بن بوزی کاهن نزد نهر خابور در زمین کلدانیان نازل شد و دست خداوند در آنجا بر او بود.

God gave me [in visions here] in Babylonia, and I felt the power [MTY] of Yahweh on me.

۴ 4 پس نگریستم و اینک باد شدیدی از طرف شمال برمی آید و ابر عظیمی و آتش جهنده ودرخشندگی‌ای گرداگردش و از میانش یعنی ازمیان آتش، مثل منظر برنج تابان بود.

[In one of the visions, I saw a] windstorm coming from the north. There was a huge cloud, and lightning was flashing continually, and a brilliant light surrounded the cloud. In the center of where the lightning was flashing there was something that resembled glowing bronze.

۵ 5 و از میانش شبیه چهار حیوان پدید آمد و نمایش ایشان این بود که شبیه انسان بودند.

In the center of the storm I saw what resembled four living creatures. They resembled humans,

۶ 6 و هریک از آنها چهاررو داشت و هریک از آنها چهار بال داشت.

but each of them had four faces and four wings [DOU].

۷ 7 وپایهای آنها پایهای مستقیم و کف پای آنها مانندکف پای گوساله بود و مثل منظر برنج صیقلی درخشان بود.

Their legs were straight. Their feet resembled the hooves of calves, and the creatures shone like polished bronze.

۸ 8 و زیر بالهای آنها از چهار طرف آنها دستهای انسان بود و آن چهار رویها و بالهای خود را چنین داشتند.

On their four sides under their wings there were hands like humans have.

۹ 9 و بالهای آنها به یکدیگرپیوسته بود و چون می‌رفتند رو نمی تافتند، بلکه هریک به راه مستقیم می‌رفتند.

As the four [stood there, they formed a circle/square], with their wings touching each other. They did not turn when they were moving; they went straight ahead.

۱۰ 10 و اما شباهت رویهای آنها (این بود که ) آنها روی انسان داشتندو آن چهار روی شیر بطرف راست داشتند و آن چهار روی گاو بطرف چپ داشتند و آن چهار روی عقاب داشتند.

[of the creatures had four faces]. The face that was in front [of each one was a face that] resembled a human face. The face on the right side resembled a lion’s face. The face on the left side resembled an ox’s face. The face in back resembled an eagle’s face.

۱۱ 11 و رویها و بالهای آنها ازطرف بالا از یکدیگر جدا بود و دو بال هریک به همدیگر پیوسته و دو بال دیگر بدن آنها رامی پوشانید.

Two of each creature’s wings were lifted up and touched the wings of the creatures that were on each side. The other two wings were folded against the creature’s body.

۱۲ 12 و هر یک از آنها به راه مستقیم می‌رفتند و به هر جایی که روح می‌رفت آنهامی رفتند و درحین رفتن رو نمی تافتند.

The creatures went straight ahead in whatever direction the [that controlled/guided them] wanted them to go, without changing directions while they were moving.

۱۳ 13 و اما شباهت این حیوانات (این بود که )صورت آنها مانند شعله های اخگرهای آتش افروخته شده، مثل صورت مشعلها بود. و آن آتش در میان آن حیوانات گردش می‌کرد ودرخشان می‌بود و از میان آتش برق می‌جهید.

[four] creatures resembled burning coals or torches. A blazing fire moved back and forth among the creatures, and lighting flashed from among them.

۱۴ 14 و آن حیوانات مثل صورت برق می‌دویدند وبرمی گشتند.

The creatures moved back and [extremely rapidly], like [SIM] flashes of lightning.

۱۵ 15 و چون آن حیوانات را ملاحظه می‌کردم، اینک یک چرخ به پهلوی آن حیوانات برای هر روی (هرکدام از) آن چهار بر زمین بود.

While I looked at the four living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each of them.

۱۶ 16 و صورت چرخها و صنعت آنها مثل منظرزبرجد بود و آن چهار یک شباهت داشتند. وصورت و صنعت آنها مثل چرخ در میان چرخ بود.

Each of the wheels was the same, and they all shone like [SIM] (chrysolite/a valuable green stone). Each seemed to have one wheel inside another wheel.

۱۷ 17 و چون آنها می‌رفتند، بر چهار جانب خودمی رفتند و در حین رفتن به هیچ طرف میل نمی کردند.

Whenever they moved, they would go straight in one of the four directions that they faced; they did not [in another direction] while they moved.

۱۸ 18 و فلکه های آنها بلند و مهیب بود وفلکه های آن چهار از هر طرف از چشمها پر بود.

The rims of the wheels were covered with eyes.

۱۹ 19 و چون آن حیوانات می‌رفتند، چرخها درپهلوی آنها می‌رفت و چون آن حیوانات از زمین بلند می‌شدند، چرخها بلند می‌شد.

Whenever the living creatures moved, the wheels moved with them. [So] whenever the creatures rose from the ground, the [also] rose up.

۲۰ 20 و هر جایی که روح می‌رفت آنها می‌رفتند، به هر جا که روح سیر می‌کرد و چرخها پیش روی آنها بلندمی شد، زیرا که روح حیوانات در چرخها بود.

Wherever the [that controlled the creatures] wanted the creatures to go, they went, and the wheels went with them, because the [that controlled/guided them] was in the wheels [DOU].

۲۱ 21 و چون آنها می‌رفتند، اینها می‌رفت و چون آنها می‌ایستادند، اینها می‌ایستاد. و چون آنها اززمین بلند می‌شدند، چرخها پیش روی آنها اززمین بلند می‌شد، زیرا روح حیوانات در چرخهابود.

Whenever the creatures moved, the wheels moved. Whenever the creatures [still], the wheels stopped. Whenever the creatures rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up with them.

۲۲ 22 و شباهت فلکی که بالای سر حیوانات بودمثل منظر بلور مهیب بود و بالای سر آنها پهن شده بود.

Above the heads of the creatures there was something that resembled a dome. It shone like ice (OR, crystal) shines, and it was awesome.

۲۳ 23 و بالهای آنها زیر فلک بسوی یکدیگر مستقیم بود و دو بال هریک از این طرف می‌پوشانید و دو بال هر یک از آن طرف بدنهای آنها را می‌پوشانید.

Under the dome, the creatures stretched out their wings. Each one had two wings; [each wing] stretched towards the creature [was next to] it, and two wings that were against the creature’s body.

۲۴ 24 و چون می‌رفتند، من صدای بالهای آنها را مانند صدای آبهای بسیار، مثل آواز حضرت اعلی و صدای هنگامه را مثل صدای فوج شنیدم. زیرا که چون می‌ایستادندبالهای خویش را فرو می‌هشتند.

Whenever the creatures moved, their wings made a sound that resembled the roar made by a rushing stream. It also sounded like the voice of Almighty God, and like [SIM] the noise of a huge army marching. Whenever the creatures stood [on the ground], they lowered their wings.

۲۵ 25 و چون درحین ایستادن بالهای خود را فرو می‌هشتند، صدایی از فلکی که بالای سر آنها بود مسموع می‌شد.

While they [on the ground] with their wings lowered, there was a voice from the dome that was over their heads.

۲۶ 26 و بالای فلکی که بر سر آنها بودشباهت تختی مثل صورت یاقوت کبود بود وبرآن شباهت تخت، شباهتی مثل صورت انسان برفوق آن بود.

Above the dome was something that resembled [huge] [that was made of a huge] (sapphire/valuable blue stone). Sitting on the throne was someone that resembled a human.

۲۷ 27 و از منظر کمر او بطرف بالا مثل منظر برنج تابان، مانند نمایش آتش در اندرون آن و گرداگردش دیدم. و از منظر کمر او به طرف پایین مثل نمایش آتشی که از هر طرف درخشان بود دیدم.

I saw that above his waist his body resembled metal that was glowing as though it [a very hot] fire inside it. And I saw that below his waist there was a very brilliant light that surrounded him.

۲۸ 28 مانند نمایش قوس قزح که در روزباران در ابر می‌باشد، همچنین آن درخشندگی گرداگرد آن بود. این منظر شباهت جلال یهوه بود و چون آن را دیدم، به روی خود در‌افتادم و آوازقائلی را شنیدم،

[shone] like [SIM] a rainbow shines in the clouds on a rainy day. That was the brilliant light that represented the presence of Yahweh. When I saw it, I prostrated myself on the ground, and I heard him speak.
