حزقیال 21

۱ 1 و کلام خداوند بر من نازل شده، گفت:

Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:

۲ 2 «ای پسر انسان روی خود را بسوی اورشلیم بدار و به مکان های بلند مقدس تکلم نما. و به زمین اسرائیل نبوت کن.

Son of man Set thy face against Jerusalem, And drop thy word against the holy places And prophesy against the soil of Israel.

۳ 3 و به زمین اسرائیل بگو: خداوند چنین می‌فرماید: اینک من به ضد توهستم. و شمشیر خود را از غلافش کشیده، عادلان و شریران را از میان تو منقطع خواهم ساخت.

Thou shalt say then to the soil of Israel Thus saith Yahweh, Behold me against thee, Therefore will I bring forth my sword out of its sheath, —and will cut off from thee the righteous and the lawless.

۴ 4 و چونکه عادلان و شریران را از میان تومنقطع می‌سازم، بنابراین شمشیر من بر تمامی بشر از جنوب تا شمال از غلافش بیرون خواهدآمد.

Because I have cut off from thee the righteous and the lawless, Therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from south to north:

۵ 5 و تمامی بشر خواهند فهمید که من یهوه شمشیر خود را از غلافش بیرون کشیدم تا باز به آن برنگردد.

So shall all flesh know that, I, Yahweh have brought forth my sword out of its sheath, — it shall not return any more.

۶ 6 پس تو‌ای پسر انسان آه بکش! باشکستگی کمر و مرارت سخت به نظر ایشان آه بکش.

Thou, therefore O son of man sigh, — In the sharp pain of thy loins and in bitterness, shalt thou sigh before their eyes.

۷ 7 و اگر به تو گویند که چرا آه می‌کشی؟ بگو: به‌سبب آوازه‌ای که می‌آید. زیرا که همه دلهاگداخته و تمامی دستها سست گردیده و همه جانها کاهیده و جمیع زانوها مثل آب بیتاب خواهد شد. خداوند یهوه می‌گوید: همانا آن می‌آید و به وقوع خواهد پیوست.»

And it shall come to pass when they shall say unto thee, Wherefore art thou sighing? that thou shalt say, For the report because it cometh, When every heart shall melt. And all hands be unnerved And every spirit shall become faint. And all knees shall be weak as water, Lo! it cometh and shall be brought to pass, Saith My Lord, Yahweh.

۸ 8 و کلام خداوند بر من نازل شده، گفت:

And the word of Yahweh came unto me. saying:

۹ 9 «ای پسر انسان نبوت کرده، بگو: خداوند چنین می‌فرماید: بگو که شمشیر، شمشیر تیز شده و نیزصیقلی گردیده است.

Son of man, Prophesy and thou shalt say, Thus saith My Lord, — Say, A sword! a sword! Sharpened moreover also furbished:

۱۰ 10 تیز شده است تا کشتارنماید و صیقلی گردیده تا براق شود. پس آیا ما شادی نماییم؟ عصای پسر من همه درختان راخوار می‌شمارد.

To make a slaughter, is it sharpened, That it may flash as lightning, is it furbished. Or shall we flourish the royal rod of my son which despiseth every tree?

۱۱ 11 و آن برای صیقلی شدن داده شد تا آن را به‌دست گیرند. و این شمشیر تیز شده و صیقلی گردیده است تا به‌دست قاتل داده شود.

It hath. however been given to be furbished that it may be grasped by the hand: The same is a sword sharpened. Yea the same, is furbished, Ready to be given into the hand of the slayer.

۱۲ 12 ‌ای پسر انسان فریاد برآور و ولوله نما زیرا که این بر قوم من و بر جمیع سروران اسرائیل واردمی آید. ترسها به‌سبب شمشیر بر قوم من عارض شده است. لهذا بر ران خود دست بزن.

Make an outcry and howl son of man, For the same hath come against my people, the same is against all the princes of Israel, - Who are thrown to the sword with my people, Therefore smite thou upon thy thigh.

۱۳ 13 زیرا که امتحان است. و چه خواهد بود اگر عصایی که (دیگران را) خوار می‌شمارد، دیگر نباشد. قول خداوند یهوه این است:

For trial hath been made, What then, even though the royal rod despiseth, shall it not be? Demandeth My Lord. Yahweh.

۱۴ 14 و تو‌ای پسر انسان نبوت کن و دستهای خود را بهم بزن و شمشیردفعه سوم تکرار بشود. شمشیر مقتولان است. شمشیر آن مقتول عظیم که ایشان را احاطه می‌کند.

Thou, therefore, son of man, Prophesy, and smite thy hands together, And let the sword smite twice thrice the sword of the slain! the same is the great sword of the slain, that which hemmeth them in.

۱۵ 15 شمشیر برنده‌ای به ضد همه دروازه های ایشان قرار دادم تا دلها گداخته شود وهلاکت‌ها زیاده شود. آه (شمشیر) براق گردیده وبرای کشتار تیز شده است.

That the heart may melt And the overthrow be multiplied at all their gates, I have recompensed a slaying by the sword: Surely it hath been made ready to flash like lightning, keen for slaughter.

۱۶ 16 جمع شده، به‌جانب راست برو و آراسته گردیده، به‌جانب چپ توجه نما. بهر طرف که رخسارهایت متوجه می‌باشد.

One firm stroke to the right. Turn to the left, - Whithersoever thine edge is directed,

۱۷ 17 و من نیز دستهای خود را بهم خواهم زد و حدت خشم خویش را ساکن خواهم گردانید. من یهوه هستم که تکلم نموده‌ام.»

Yea even I myself, will smite my hands together, And will cause mine indignation to find rest, — I Yahweh, have spoken.

۱۸ 18 و کلام خداوند بر من نازل شده، گفت:

Then came the word of Yahweh unto me saying:

۱۹ 19 «وتو‌ای پسر انسان دو راه به جهت خود تعیین نما تاشمشیر پادشاه بابل از آنها بیاید. هر دوی آنها ازیک زمین بیرون می‌آید. و علامتی بر پا کن. آن رابر سر راه شهر بر پا نما.

Thou, therefore son of man. Appoint thee two ways For the sword of the king of Babylon to enter, Out of one land shall those two ways come, — And a hand, engrave thou, At the head of the way to the city, engrave it.;

۲۰ 20 راهی تعیین نما تاشمشیر به ربه بنی عمون و به یهودا در اورشلیم منیع بیاید.

A way, shalt thou appoint, for the sword to enter. Even to Rabbah of the sons of Ammon, — And to Judah against Jerusalem, the defenced,

۲۱ 21 زیرا که پادشاه بابل بر شاهراه، به‌سر دو راه ایستاده است تا تفال زند و تیرها را بهم زده، از ترافیم سوال می‌کند و به جگر می‌نگرد.

For the king of Babylon, hath come to a stand, At the parting of the way At the head of the two ways To divine a divination: He hath shaken with arrows He hath asked of the household gods, He hath inspected the liver.

۲۲ 22 به‌دست راستش تفال اورشلیم است تامنجنیقها بر پا کند و دهان را برای کشتار بگشایدو آواز را به گلبانگ بلند نماید و منجنیقها بردروازه‌ها بر پا کند و سنگرها بسازد و برجها بنانماید.

On his right hand, hath come the divination—Jerusalem! To plant battering-rams To open a hole by breach To lift up the voice with a war-shout, — To plant battering-rams against the gates, To cast up an earth-work To build a siege-wall.

۲۳ 23 لیکن در نظر ایشان که قسم برای آنهاخورده‌اند، تفال باطل می‌نماید. و او گناه ایشان رابه یاد می‌آورد تا گرفتار شوند.»

Though it will become to them a veritably false divination in their eyes, even when bound by oaths to them Yet, he, calling to mind iniquity, [will determine] that it shall be captured.

۲۴ 24 بنابراین خداوند یهوه چنین می‌گوید: «چونکه شما تقصیرهای خویش را منکشف ساخته و خطایای خود را در همه اعمال خویش ظاهر نموده، عصیان خود را یاد آورانیدید، پس چون به یاد آورده شدید دستگیر خواهید شد.

Therefore Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Because ye have brought to mind your iniquity, by revealing your transgressions causing your sins to appear in all your doings, - Because ye have brought yourselves to mind By force shall ye be captured.

۲۵ 25 و تو‌ای رئیس شریر اسرائیل که به زخم مهلک مجروح شده‌ای و اجل تو در زمان عقوبت آخررسیده است،

Thou therefore, O profane, lawless one, prince of Israel, - Whose day hath come, in a time of final iniquity:

۲۶ 26 خداوند یهوه چنین می‌گوید: عمامه را دور کن و تاج را بردار. چنین نخواهدماند. آنچه را که پست است بلند نما و آنچه را که بلند است پست کن.

Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, Remove the turban, And lift off the crown, — This not that, The abased, exalt, And the exalted, abase.

۲۷ 27 و من آن را سرنگون، سرنگون، سرنگون خواهم ساخت. و این دیگرواقع نخواهد شد تا آنکس بیاید که حق اومی باشد. و من آن را به وی عطا خواهم نمود.

An overthrow overthrow overthrow, will I make it, — Even this, hath not befallen until the coming of One to whom belongeth the right Then will I bestow it.

۲۸ 28 «و تو‌ای پسر انسان نبوت کرده، بگو: خداوند یهوه درباره بنی عمون و سرزنش ایشان چنین می‌فرماید: بگو که شمشیر، شمشیر برای کشتار کشیده شده است و به غایت صیقلی گردیده تا براق بشود.

Thou, therefore, son of man Prophesy and say, thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, As to the sons of Ammon and as to their reproach Yea thou shalt say. A sword! a sword! Drawn for slaughter, Furbished, that when it beginneth, it may flash like lightning;

۲۹ 29 چونکه برای تو رویای باطل دیده‌اند و برای تو تفال دروغ زده‌اند تا تو رابر گردنهای مقتولان شریر بگذارند که اجل ایشان در زمان عقوبت آخر رسیده است.

Since they see for thee, false visions, Since they divine for thee lies, To stretch thee upon the necks of them who are the most profaned of lawless ones, Whose day hath come, in a time of final iniquity,

۳۰ 30 لهذا آن رابه غلافش برگردان و بر تو در مکانی که آفریده شده‌ای و در زمینی که تولد یافته‌ای داوری خواهم نمود.

Put it back into its sheath! In the place where thou wast created In the land of thy nativity, will I judge thee

۳۱ 31 و خشم خود را بر تو خواهم ریخت و آتش غیظ خود را بر تو خواهم دمید. وتو را به‌دست مردان وحشی که برای هلاک نمودن چالاکند تسلیم خواهم نمود.

Then will I pour out upon thee mine indignation, With the fire of mine outburst, will I blow upon thee; and will deliver thee up into the hand of brutish men, skilled to destroy.

۳۲ 32 و تو برای آتش هیزم خواهی شد و خونت در آن زمین خواهدماند. پس به یاد آورده نخواهی شد زیرا من که یهوه هستم تکلم نموده‌ام.»

For the fire, shalt thou serve as fuel, Thy blood shall be in the midst of the land, - Thou shalt not be remembered, For I, Yahweh, have spoken.
