حزقیال 14

۱ 1 و کسانی چند از مشایخ اسرائیل نزد من آمده، پیش رویم نشستند.

Then came there unto me men, of the elders of Israel, —and sat before me—

۲ 2 آنگاه کلام خداوند بر من نازل شده، گفت:

And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

۳ 3 «ای پسر انسان این اشخاص، بتهای خویش را در دلهای خودجای دادند و سنگ مصادم گناه خویش را پیش روی خود نهادند. پس آیا ایشان از من مسالت نمایند؟

Son of man These men have brought up their manufactured gods upon their hear, And their stumbling-block of iniquity, have they set straight before their face, —Shall I be at all enquired of by them?

۴ 4 لهذا ایشان را خطاب کن و به ایشان بگو: خداوند یهوه چنین می‌فرماید: هرکسی ازخاندان اسرائیل که بتهای خویش را در دل خودجای دهد و سنگ مصادم گناه خویش را پیش روی خود بنهد و نزد نبی بیاید، من که یهوه هستم آن را که می‌آید موافق کثرت بتهایش اجابت خواهم نمود

Therefore speak unto them and say unto them, Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Any man whatsoever of the house of Israel Who shall bring up his manufactured gods upon his heart, And set, his stumbling-block of iniquity, straight before his face, And then come in unto the prophet, I Yahweh, have myself answered him thereby. By the multitude of his manufactured gods:

۵ 5 تا خاندان اسرائیل را در افکارخودشان گرفتار سازم چونکه جمیع ایشان به‌سبب بتهای خویش از من مرتد شده‌اند.

To the end the house of Israel may be taken by their own hearts, —in that they have estranged themselves from me, through their manufactured gods—all of them!

۶ 6 بنابراین به خاندان اسرائیل بگو خداوند یهوه چنین می‌فرماید: توبه کنید و از بتهای خود بازگشت نمایید و رویهای خویش را از همه رجاسات خود برگردانید.

Therefore, say thou unto the house of Israel, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Turn ye—and make good your return—from your manufactured gods; And, from all your abominations, make good the turning away of your faces.

۷ 7 زیرا هر کس چه از خاندان اسرائیل و چه از غریبانی که در اسرائیل ساکن باشند که از پیروی من مرتد شده، بتهای خویش را در دلش جای دهد و سنگ مصادم گناه خود راپیش رویش نهاده، نزد نبی آید تا به واسطه او ازمن مسالت نماید، من که یهوه هستم خود او راجواب خواهم داد.

For what man soever of the house of Israel Or of the sojourners who sojourn in Israel, Who shall estrange himself from following me And who shall bring up his manufactured gods, on his heart, And whose stumbling-block of iniquity, he shall set straight before his face, And then come in unto the prophet, to enquire by him of me, I Yahweh, will myself answer him, on my own account;

۸ 8 و من نظر خود را بر آن شخص دوخته، او را مورد دهشت خواهم ساخت تا علامتی و ضرب‌المثلی بشود و او را ازمیان قوم خود منقطع خواهم ساخت و خواهیددانست که من یهوه هستم.

And will set my face against that man And will make of him a sign and a proverb, And will cut him off out of the midst of my people: So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.

۹ 9 و اگر نبی فریب خورده، سخنی گوید، من که یهوه هستم آن نبی رافریب داده‌ام و دست خود را بر او دراز کرده، او رااز میان قوم خود اسرائیل منقطع خواهم ساخت.

Yea the prophet himself when he suffereth himself to be deceived, and speaketh a word, I Yahweh, have suffered that prophet to be deceived, Then will I stretch forth my hand against him, and destroy him out of the midst of my people. Israel:

۱۰ 10 و ایشان بار گناهان خود را متحمل خواهندشد و گناه مسالت کننده مثل گناه آن نبی خواهدبود.

So shall they bear their punishment, As the punishment of him that enquireth, So shall the punishment of the prophet be:

۱۱ 11 تا خاندان اسرائیل دیگر از پیروی من گمراه نشوند و باز به تمامی تقصیرهای خویش نجس نگردند. بلکه خداوند یهوه می‌گوید: ایشان قوم من خواهند بود و من خدای ایشان خواهم بود.»

That the house of Israel may no more go astray from following me, And no more defile themselves by any of their transgressions, — But may become my people, and I, may become their God, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

۱۲ 12 و کلام خداوند بر من نازل شده، گفت:

And the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:

۱۳ 13 «ای پسر انسان اگر زمینی خیانت کرده، به من خطا ورزد و اگر من دست خود را بر آن دراز کرده، عصای نانش را بشکنم و قحطی در آن فرستاده، انسان و بهایم را از آن منقطع سازم،

Son of man, When a land, shall sin against me by committing treachery, and I shall stretch out my hand against it, And break for it the staff of bread, And send thereon famine, And cut off therefrom man and beast,

۱۴ 14 اگر‌چه این سه مرد یعنی نوح و دانیال و ایوب در آن باشند، خداوند یهوه می‌گوید که ایشان (فقط) جانهای خود را به عدالت خویش خواهند رهانید.

Then should these three men be in the midst thereof, Noah, Daniel, and Job, they by their righteousness should deliver their own lives— Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.

۱۵ 15 واگر حیوانات درنده به آن زمین بیاورم که آن را ازاهل آن خالی سازند و چنان ویران شود که ازترس آن حیوانات کسی از آن گذر نکند،

If a mischievous wild beast, I suffer to pass through the land, and that beast bereave it, so that it become too desolate for any man to pass through, by reason of the wild beast,

۱۶ 16 اگرچه این سه مرد در میانش باشند، خداوند یهوه می‌گوید: به حیات خودم قسم که ایشان پسران ودختران را رهایی نخواهند داد. ایشان به تنهایی رهایی خواهند یافت ولی زمین ویران خواهدشد.

[Were] these three men in the midst thereof, As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely neither sons nor daughters, should they deliver, They alone should be delivered, But the land, should become a desolation.

۱۷ 17 یا اگر شمشیری به آن زمین آورم و بگویم: ای شمشیر از این زمین بگذر. و اگر انسان و بهایم را از آن منقطع سازم،

Or, a sword, I should bring upon that land, and should say. O sword! thou shalt go through the land, and so I should cut off therefrom, man and beast,

۱۸ 18 اگر‌چه این سه مرد درمیانش باشند، خداوند یهوه می‌گوید: به حیات خودم قسم که پسران و دختران را رهایی نخواهند داد بلکه ایشان به تنهایی رهایی خواهندیافت.

Were these three men in the midst thereof, As I live! Saith My Lord Yahweh, They should deliver neither sons nor daughters, — For they alone, should be delivered.

۱۹ 19 یا اگر وبا در آن زمین بفرستم و خشم خود را بر آن با خون بریزم و انسان و بهایم را از آن منقطع بسازم،

Or pestilence, I, should send into that land, —and should pour out mine indignation thereon in blood, to cut off therefrom man and beast

۲۰ 20 اگر‌چه نوح و دانیال و ایوب درمیانش باشند خداوند یهوه می‌گوید: به حیات خودم قسم که نه پسری و نه دختری را رهایی خواهند داد بلکه ایشان (فقط) جانهای خود را به عدالت خویش خواهند رهانید.

Were Noah, Daniel and Job in the midst thereof, As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely neither son nor daughter, should they deliver, They, by their righteousness should deliver only their own lives.

۲۱ 21 پس خداوندیهوه چنین می‌گوید: چه قدر زیاده حینی که چهارعذاب سخت خود یعنی شمشیر و قحط و حیوان درنده و وبا را بر اورشلیم بفرستم تا انسان و بهایم را از آن منقطع سازم.

For thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, How much less [should they avail] when my four calamitous judgments, sword and famine and mischievous wild beast and pestilence I have sent against Jerusalem, —to cut off therefrom man and beast?

۲۲ 22 لیکن اینک بقیتی ازپسران و دخترانی که بیرون آورده می‌شوند در آن واگذاشته خواهد شد. هان ایشان را نزد شمابیرون خواهند‌آورد و رفتار و اعمال ایشان راخواهید دید و از بلایی که بر اورشلیم وارد آورده و هر‌آنچه بر آن رسانیده باشم، تسلی خواهیدیافت.

Yet lo! there hath been left therein a remnant of fugitives to be brought forth —sons and daughters— There they are! coming forth unto you, And so ye shall see their way, and their doings, and be consoled over the calamity which I have brought in upon Jerusalem even all that I have brought in upon her.

۲۳ 23 و چون رفتار و اعمال ایشان را ببینیدشما را تسلی خواهند داد و خداوند یهوه می‌گوید: شما خواهید دانست که هر‌آنچه به آن کردم بی‌سبب بجا نیاوردم.»

Yea they shall console you, when ye see their way and their doings, — So shall ye know that not without cause, have I done, anything that I have done with her, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
