خروج 11

۱ 1 و خداوند به موسی گفت: «یک بلای دیگر بر فرعون و بر مصر می‌آورم، وبعد از آن شما را از اینجا رهایی خواهد داد، وچون شما را رها کند، البته شما را بالکلیه از اینجاخواهد راند.

Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “I will cause one more disaster to strike the king of Egypt and all his people [MTY]. After that, he will let you leave. In fact, he will expel you all.

۲ 2 اکنون به گوش قوم بگو که هر مرداز همسایه خود، و هر زن از همسایه‌اش آلات نقره و آلات طلا بخواهند.»

So now speak to all the [Israeli] people. Tell them to ask all their [Egyptian] neighbors, both men and women, to give them some silver and gold jewelry.”

۳ 3 و خداوند قوم را درنظر مصریان محترم ساخت. و شخص موسی نیزدر زمین مصر، در نظر بندگان فرعون و در نظرقوم، بسیار بزرگ بود.

Yahweh made the Egyptians highly respect the Israeli people. In particular, the Egyptian officials and all [the rest of] the people considered Moses/me to be a very great man.

۴ 4 و موسی گفت: «خداوندچنین می‌گوید: قریب به نصف شب در میان مصربیرون خواهم آمد.

Then Moses/I [went to the king and] said, “This is what Yahweh says: ‘About midnight [tonight] I will go throughout Egypt,

۵ 5 و هر نخست زاده‌ای که در زمین مصر باشد، از نخست زاده فرعون که برتختش نشسته است، تا نخست زاده کنیزی که درپشت دستاس باشد، و همه نخست زادگان بهایم خواهند مرد.

and I will cause all the firstborn/oldest [sons] to die. That will include your oldest son, the oldest sons of the slave women who grind grain, [and the oldest sons of everyone else]. I will also kill the oldest males of the Egyptians’ livestock.

۶ 6 و نعره عظیمی در تمامی زمین مصر خواهد بود که مثل آن نشده، و مانند آن دیگر نخواهد شد.

When that happens, people all over Egypt will wail loudly. They have never wailed like that before, and they will never wail like that again.

۷ 7 اما بر جمیع بنی‌اسرائیل سگی زبان خود را تیز نکند، نه بر انسان و نه بربهایم، تا بدانید که خداوند در میان مصریان واسرائیلیان فرقی گذارده است.

But among the Israeli people [it will be so quiet that] not even a dog will bark! Then you will know for sure that I, Yahweh, distinguish [how I act toward] the Egyptians and [how I act toward] the Israeli people.

۸ 8 و این همه بندگان تو به نزد من فرود آمده، و مرا تعظیم کرده، خواهند گفت: تو و تمامی قوم که تابع تو باشند، بیرون روید! و بعد از آن بیرون خواهم رفت.»

Then all these officials of yours will come and bow down before me and will say, “Please get out [of Egypt], you and all the Israeli people!”’ After that, I will leave Egypt!” [After Moses/I said that], he/I very angrily left the king.

۹ 9 و خداوند به موسی گفت: «فرعون به شماگوش نخواهد گرفت، تا آیات من در زمین مصرزیاد شود.»

Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “The king will not pay any attention to what you say. The result will be that I will perform more plagues in the land of Egypt.”

۱۰ 10 و موسی و هارون جمیع این آیات را به حضور فرعون ظاهر ساختند. اما خداوند دل فرعون را سخت گردانید، و بنی‌اسرائیل را از زمین خود رهایی نداد.

Aaron and Moses/I performed all these miracles in front of the king, but Yahweh made the king stubborn, and he did not let the Israeli people leave his country.
