تثنیه 24

۱ 1 چون کسی زنی گرفته، به نکاح خوددرآورد، اگر در نظر او پسند نیاید از این که چیزی ناشایسته در او بیابد آنگاه طلاق نامه‌ای نوشته، بدستش دهد، و او را از خانه‌اش رها کند.

When a man taketh a woman, and marrieth her, then shall it be, if she find not favour in his eyes, because he hath found in her some matter of shame, that he shall write her a scroll of divorcement, and put it into her hand, and shall send her forth, out of his house.

۲ 2 و از خانه او روانه شده، برود و زن دیگری شود.

And, when she cometh forth out of his house, then may she go her way, and become another man’s.

۳ 3 و اگر شوهر دیگر نیز او را مکروه دارد وطلاق نامه‌ای نوشته، به‌دستش بدهد و او را ازخانه‌اش رها کند، یا اگر شوهری دیگر که او را به زنی گرفت، بمیرد،

But if the latter husband hate her, and write her a scroll of divorcement and put it into her hand, and send her away out of his house, —or, if the latter husband die, who had taken her to him to wife,

۴ 4 شوهر اول که او را رها کرده بود، نمی تواند دوباره او را به نکاح خود درآورد. بعد از آن ناپاک شده است، زیرا که این به نظرخداوند مکروه است. پس بر زمینی که یهوه، خدایت، تو را به ملکیت می‌دهد، گناه میاور.

then may her first husband who sent her away not again take her to become his wife after that she hath been defiled, for that were an abomination, before Yahweh, —lest thou bring sin upon the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance.

۵ 5 چون کسی زن تازه‌ای بگیرد، در لشکر بیرون نرود، و هیچ کار به او تکلیف نشود، تا یک سال درخانه خود آزاد بماند، و زنی را که گرفته است، مسرور سازد.

When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not go forth to war, neither shall he be charged with any business, —free, shall he be for his own house one year, and shall rejoice with his wife whom he hath taken.

۶ 6 هیچکس آسیا یا سنگ بالایی آن را به گرونگیرد، زیرا که جان را به گرو گرفته است.

No man shall take in pledge a handmill, or an upper millstone, —for he would be taking life, in pledge.

۷ 7 اگر کسی یافت شود که یکی از برادران خوداز بنی‌اسرائیل را دزدیده، بر او ظلم کند یابفروشد، آن دزد کشته شود، پس بدی را از میان خود دور کرده‌ای.

When a man is found stealing any person from among his brethren of the sons of Israel, and making merchandise of him, or selling him, then shall that thief die, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.

۸ 8 درباره بلای برص هوشیار باش که به هرآنچه لاویان کهنه شما را تعلیم دهند به دقت توجه نموده، عمل نمایید، و موافق آنچه به ایشان امر فرمودم، هوشیار باشید که عمل نمایید.

Take heed, in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do, —according to all that the priests the Levites shall direct you, as I have commanded them, so shall ye observe to do.

۹ 9 بیادآور که یهوه خدایت در راه با مریم چه کرد، وقتی که شما از مصر بیرون آمدید.

Remember that which Yahweh thy God did to Miriam, —by the way, as ye came forth out of Egypt.

۱۰ 10 چون به همسایه خود هر قسم قرض دهی، برای گرفتن گرو به خانه‌اش داخل مشو.

When thou lendest thy neighbour a loan of anything, thou shalt not enter into his house to secure his pledge:

۱۱ 11 بلکه بیرون بایست تا شخصی که به او قرض می‌دهی گرو را نزد تو بیرون آورد.

outside, shalt thou stand, and the man to whom thou art lending, shall bring forth unto thee his pledge outside,

۱۲ 12 و اگر مرد فقیر باشددر گرو او مخواب.

And, if he be a poor man, thou shalt not sleep in his pledge:

۱۳ 13 البته به وقت غروب آفتاب، گرو را به او پس بده، تا در رخت خود بخوابد و تورا برکت دهد و به حضور یهوه خدایت، عدالت شمرده خواهد شد.

thou shalt, restore, to him the pledge at the going in of the sun, so shall he sleep in his own mantle, and bless thee, —and, unto thee, shall it be righteousness before Yahweh thy God.

۱۴ 14 بر مزدوری که فقیر و مسکین باشد، خواه ازبرادرانت و خواه از غریبانی که در زمینت دراندرون دروازه های تو باشند ظلم منما.

Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, —of thy brethren or of thy sojourners that are in thy land, within thy gates;

۱۵ 15 درهمان روز مزدش را بده، و آفتاب بر آن غروب نکند، چونکه او فقیر است و دل خود را به آن بسته است، مبادا بر تو نزد خداوند فریاد برآورد و برای تو گناه باشد.

for his day, shalt thou give his hire neither shall the sun, go in upon it, for, poor, he is, and, unto it, is he lifting up his soul, —lest he cry out against thee, unto Yahweh, and it be, in thee a sin.

۱۶ 16 پدران به عوض پسران کشته نشوند، و نه پسران به عوض پدران خود کشته شوند. هر کس برای گناه خود کشته شود.

Fathers shall not be put to death for sons, nor shall sons, be put to death for fathers, —every man, for his own sin, shall he put to death.

۱۷ 17 داوری غریب و یتیم را منحرف مساز، وجامه بیوه را به گرو مگیر.

Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the sojourner [or] the fatherless, —neither shalt thou take in pledge the garment of a widow;

۱۸ 18 و بیاد آور که در مصرغلام بودی و یهوه، خدایت، تو را از آنجا فدیه داد. بنابراین من تو را امر می‌فرمایم که این کار رامعمول داری.

so shalt thou remember that, a servant, becamest thou in Egypt, and that Yahweh thy God, redeemed thee, from thence, —therefore, am I commanding thee to do this thing.

۱۹ 19 چون محصول خود را در مزرعه خویش درو کنی، و در مزرعه، بافه‌ای فراموش کنی، برای برداشتن آن برمگرد؛ برای غریب و یتیم و بیوه‌زن باشد تا یهوه خدایت تو را در همه کارهای دستت برکت دهد.

When thou cuttest down thy harvest in thy field and forgettest a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not turn back to fetch it, to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, shall it belong, —that Yahweh thy God, may bless thee, in all the Work of thy hands.

۲۰ 20 چون زیتون خود را بتکانی باردیگر شاخه‌ها را متکان؛ برای غریب و یتیم و بیوه باشد.

When thou beatest thine olive-tree, thou shalt not glean after thee, —to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong,

۲۱ 21 چون انگور تاکستان خود را بچینی باردیگر آن را مچین، برای غریب و یتیم و بیوه باشد.

When thou cuttest off the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not go about picking after thee, —to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong:

۲۲ 22 و بیاد آور که در زمین مصر غلام بودی. بنابراین تو را امر می‌فرمایم که این کار را معمول داری.

so shalt thou remember that a servant, becamest thou in the land of Egypt, —therefore, am I commending thee to do this thing.
