دانیال 1
| در سال سوم سلطنت یهویاقیم پادشاه یهودا، نبوکدنصر پادشاه بابل به اورشلیم آمده، آن را محاصره نمود. | ۱ 1 |
In the thirde yeere of the reigne of Iehoiakim king of Iudah, came Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel vnto Ierusalem and besieged it.
| و خداوند یهویاقیم پادشاه یهودا را با بعضی از ظروف خانه خدا به‌دست او تسلیم نمود و او آنها را به زمین شنعار به خانه خدای خود آورد و ظروف را به بیت‌المال خدای خویش گذاشت. | ۲ 2 |
And ye Lord gaue Iehoiakim king of Iudah into his hand; with parte of the vessels of the house of God, which he caryed into the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and he brought the vessels into his gods treasurie.
| و پادشاه اشفناز رئیس خواجه‌سرایان خویش را امر فرمود که بعضی ازبنی‌اسرائیل و از اولاد پادشاهان و از شرفا رابیاورد. | ۳ 3 |
And the King spake vnto Ashpenaz the master of his Eunuches, that he shoulde bring certeine of the children of Israel, of the Kings seede, and of the princes:
| جوانانی که هیچ عیبی نداشته باشند ونیکومنظر و در هرگونه حکمت ماهر و به علم داناو به فنون فهیم باشند که قابلیت برای ایستادن درقصر پادشاه داشته باشند و علم و زبان کلدانیان رابه ایشان تعلیم دهند. | ۴ 4 |
Children in whome was no blemish, but well fauoured, and instruct in all wisedome, and well seene in knowledge, and able to vtter knowledge, and such as were able to stande in the kings palace, and whome they might teach the learning, and the tongue of the Caldeans.
| و پادشاه وظیفه روزینه ازطعام پادشاه و از شرابی که او می‌نوشید تعیین نمود و (امر فرمود) که ایشان را سه سال تربیت نمایند و بعد از انقضای آن مدت در حضورپادشاه حاضر شوند. | ۵ 5 |
And the King appointed them prouision euery day of a portion of the Kings meate, and and of the wine, which he dranke, so nourishing them three yeere, that at the ende thereof, they might stande before the King.
| و در میان ایشان دانیال وحننیا و میشائیل و عزریا از بنی یهودا بودند. | ۶ 6 |
Nowe among these were certeine of the children of Iudah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah.
| ورئیس خواجه‌سرایان نامها به ایشان نهاد، امادانیال را به بلطشصر و حننیا را به شدرک ومیشائیل را به میشک و عزریا را به عبدنغو مسمی ساخت. | ۷ 7 |
Vnto whome the chiefe of the Eunuches gaue other names: for hee called Daniel, Belteshazzar, and Hananiah, Shadrach, and Mishael, Meshach, and Azariah, Abednego.
| اما دانیال در دل خود قصد نمود که خویشتن را از طعام پادشاه و از شرابی که او می‌نوشید نجس نسازد. پس از رئیس خواجه‌سرایان درخواست نمود که خویشتن را نجس نسازد. | ۸ 8 |
But Daniel had determined in his heart, that hee woulde not defile him selfe with the portion of the Kings meate, nor with the wine which he dranke: therefore he required the chiefe of the Eunuches that he might not defile himselfe.
| وخدا دانیال را نزد رئیس خواجه‌سرایان محترم ومکرم ساخت. | ۹ 9 |
(Nowe God had brought Daniel into fauour, and tender loue with the chiefe of the Eunuches)
| پس رئیس خواجه‌سرایان به دانیال گفت: «من از آقای خود پادشاه که خوراک و مشروبات شما را تعیین نموده است می‌ترسم. چرا چهره های شما را از سایر جوانانی که ابنای جنس شما می‌باشند، زشتتر بیند و همچنین سرمرا نزد پادشاه در خطر خواهید انداخت.» | ۱۰ 10 |
And the chiefe of the Eunuches sayd vnto Daniel, I feare my lord the King, who hath appointed your meate and your drinke: therefore if he see your faces worse liking then the other children, which are of your sort, then shall you make me lose mine head vnto the King.
| پس دانیال به رئیس ساقیان که رئیس خواجه‌سرایان اورا بر دانیال و حننیا و میشائیل و عزریا گماشته بودگفت: | ۱۱ 11 |
Then sayd Daniel to Melzar, whome the chiefe of the Eunuches had set ouer Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
| «مستدعی آنکه بندگان خود را ده روزتجربه نمایی و به ما بقول برای خوردن بدهند وآب به جهت نوشیدن. | ۱۲ 12 |
Proue thy seruants, I beseeche thee, ten dayes, and let them giue vs pulse to eate, and water to drinke.
| و چهره های ما وچهره های سایر جوانانی را که طعام پادشاه رامی خورند به حضور تو ملاحظه نمایند و به نهجی که خواهی دید با بندگانت عمل نمای.» | ۱۳ 13 |
Then let our countenances bee looked vpon before thee, and the countenances of the children that eate of the portion of the Kings meate: and as thou seest, deale with thy seruantes.
| و او ایشان را در این امر اجابت نموده، ده روزایشان را تجربه کرد. | ۱۴ 14 |
So hee consented to them in this matter, an proued them ten dayes.
| و بعد از انقضای ده روزمعلوم شد که چهره های ایشان از سایر جوانانی که طعام پادشاه را می‌خوردند نیکوتر و فربه تربود. | ۱۵ 15 |
And at the end of ten dayes, their countenances appeared fayrer, and in better liking then all the childrens, which did eate the portion of the Kings meate.
| پس رئیس ساقیان طعام ایشان و شراب راکه باید بنوشند برداشت و بقول به ایشان داد. | ۱۶ 16 |
Thus Melzar tooke away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drinke, and gaue them pulse.
| اما خدا به این چهار جوان معرفت و ادراک در هر گونه علم و حکمت عطا فرمود و دانیال درهمه رویاها و خوابها فهیم گردید. | ۱۷ 17 |
As for these foure children, God gaue them knowledge, and vnderstanding in al learning and wisedome: also he gaue Daniel vnderstanding of all visions and dreames.
| و بعد از انقضای روزهایی که پادشاه امر فرموده بود که ایشان را بیاورند، رئیس خواجه‌سرایان ایشان رابه حضور نبوکدنصر آورد. | ۱۸ 18 |
Nowe when the time was expired, that the King had appoynted to bring them in, the chiefe of the Eunuches brought them before Nebuchad-nezzar.
| و پادشاه با ایشان گفتگو کرد و از جمیع ایشان کسی مثل دانیال وحننیا و میشائیل و عزریا یافت نشد پس درحضور پادشاه ایستادند. | ۱۹ 19 |
And the King communed with them: and among them al was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stoode they before the king.
| و در هر مسئله حکمت و فطانت که پادشاه از ایشان استفسارکرد، ایشان را از جمیع مجوسیان و جادوگرانی که در تمام مملکت او بودند ده مرتبه بهتر یافت. | ۲۰ 20 |
And in all matters of wisedome, and vnderstanding that the King enquired of them, hee founde them tenne times better then all the inchanters and astrologians, that were in all his realme.
| ودانیال بود تا سال اول کورش پادشاه. | ۲۱ 21 |
And Daniel was vnto the first yeere of king Cyrus.
