| اغریپاس به پولس گفت: «مرخصی که کیفیت خود را بگویی.» | ۱ 1 |
Then Agrippa said to Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
| که «ای اغریپاس پادشاه، سعادت خود را در این می‌دانم که امروز درحضور تو حجت بیاورم، درباره همه شکایتهایی که یهود از من می‌دارند. | ۲ 2 |
I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee, concerning all the things of which I am accused by the Jews:
| خصوص چون تو درهمه رسوم و مسایل یهود عالم هستی، پس از تومستدعی آنم که تحمل فرموده، مرا بشنوی. | ۳ 3 |
Especially, [because I know] thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
| رفتار مرا از جوانی چونکه از ابتدا در میان قوم خود در اورشلیم بسر می‌بردم، تمامی یهودمی دانند | ۴ 4 |
My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among my own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews,
| و مرا از اول می‌شناسند هر گاه بخواهند شهادت دهند که به قانون پارساترین فرقه دین خود فریسی می‌بودم. | ۵ 5 |
Who knew me from the beginning, (if they would testify) that after the strictest sect of our religion, I lived a Pharisee.
| والحال به‌سبب امید آن وعده‌ای که خدا به اجداد ما داد، بر من ادعا می‌کنند. | ۶ 6 |
And now I stand, and am judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers:
| و حال آنکه دوازده سبط ماشبانه‌روز بجد و جهد عبادت می‌کنند محض امید تحصیل همین وعده که بجهت همین امید، ای اغریپاس پادشاه، یهود بر من ادعا می‌کنند. | ۷ 7 |
To which [promise] our twelve tribes, assiduously serving [God] day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused by the Jews.
| «شما چرا محال می‌پندارید که خدا مردگان را برخیزاند؟ | ۸ 8 |
Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
| من هم در خاطر خود می‌پنداشتم که به نام عیسی ناصری مخالفت بسیار کردن واجب است، | ۹ 9 |
I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
| چنانکه در اورشلیم هم کردم واز روسای کهنه قدرت یافته، بسیاری از مقدسین را در زندان حبس می‌کردم و چون ایشان را می کشتند، در فتوا شریک می‌بودم. | ۱۰ 10 |
Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against [them].
| و در همه کنایس بارها ایشان را زحمت رسانیده، مجبورمی ساختم که کفر گویند و بر ایشان به شدت دیوانه گشته تا شهرهای بعید تعاقب می‌کردم. | ۱۱ 11 |
And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled [them] to blaspheme; and being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted [them] even to foreign cities.
| در این میان هنگامی که با قدرت و اجازت ازروسای کهنه به دمشق می‌رفتم، | ۱۲ 12 |
Upon which as I went to Damascus, with authority and commission from the chief priests,
| در راه، ای پادشاه، در وقت ظهر نوری را از آسمان دیدم، درخشنده تر از خورشید که در دور من و رفقایم تابید. | ۱۳ 13 |
At mid-day, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, surpassing the brightness of the sun, shining around me, and them who journeyed with me.
| و چون همه بر زمین افتادیم، هاتفی راشنیدم که مرا به زبان عبرانی مخاطب ساخته، گفت: “ای شاول، شاول، چرا بر من جفا می‌کنی؟ تو را بر میخها لگد زدن دشوار است.” | ۱۴ 14 |
And when we had all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking to me, and saying in the Hebrew language, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [It is] hard for thee to kick against the goads.
| من گفتم: “خداوندا تو کیستی؟” گفت: “من عیسی هستم که تو بر من جفا می‌کنی. | ۱۵ 15 |
And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
| و لیکن برخاسته، بر پابایست زیرا که بر تو ظاهر شدم تا تو را خادم وشاهد مقرر گردانم بر آن چیزهایی که مرا در آنهادیده‌ای و بر آنچه به تو در آن ظاهر خواهم شد. | ۱۶ 16 |
But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared to thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of the things which thou hast seen, and of the things in which I will appear to thee;
| و تو را رهایی خواهم داد از قوم و از امت هایی که تو را به نزد آنها خواهم فرستاد، | ۱۷ 17 |
Delivering thee from the people, and [from] the Gentiles, to whom now I send thee,
| تا چشمان ایشان را باز کنی تا از ظلمت به سوی نور و ازقدرت شیطان به‌جانب خدا برگردند تا آمرزش گناهان و میراثی در میان مقدسین بوسیله ایمانی که بر من است بیابند.” | ۱۸ 18 |
To open their eyes, [and] to turn [them] from darkness to light, and [from] the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me.
| آن وقت‌ای اغریپاس پادشاه، رویای آسمانی را نافرمانی نورزیدم. | ۱۹ 19 |
Upon which O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.
| بلکه نخست آنانی را که در دمشق بودند و در اورشلیم و درتمامی مرز و بوم یهودیه و امت‌ها را نیز اعلام می‌نمودم که توبه کنند و به سوی خدا بازگشت نمایند و اعمال لایقه توبه را به‌جا آورند. | ۲۰ 20 |
But showed first to them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and [then] to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
| به‌سبب همین امور یهود مرا در هیکل گرفته، قصد قتل من کردند. | ۲۱ 21 |
For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill [me].
| اما از خدا اعانت یافته، تا امروزباقی ماندم و خرد و بزرگ را اعلام می‌نمایم وحرفی نمی گویم، جز آنچه انبیا و موسی گفتند که می‌بایست واقع شود، | ۲۲ 22 |
Having therefore obtained help from God, I continue to this day, testifying both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
| که مسیح می‌بایست زحمت بیند و نوبر قیامت مردگان گشته، قوم وامت‌ها را به نور اعلام نماید.» | ۲۳ 23 |
That Christ should suffer, [and] that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light to the people, and to the Gentiles.
| چون او بدین سخنان، حجت خود رامی آورد، فستوس به آواز بلند گفت: «ای پولس دیوانه هستی! کثرت علم تو را دیوانه کرده است!» | ۲۴ 24 |
And as he was thus speaking for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee insane.
| گفت: «ای فستوس گرامی، دیوانه نیستم بلکه سخنان راستی و هوشیاری را می‌گویم. | ۲۵ 25 |
But he said, I am not insane, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
| زیراپادشاهی که در حضور او به دلیری سخن می‌گویم، از این امور مطلع است، چونکه مرا یقین است که هیچ‌یک از این مقدمات بر او مخفی نیست، زیرا که این امور در خلوت واقع نشد. | ۲۶ 26 |
For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely. For I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
| ای اغریپاس پادشاه، آیا به انبیا ایمان آورده‌ای؟ می‌دانم که ایمان داری!» | ۲۷ 27 |
King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
| اغریپاس به پولس گفت: «به قلیل ترغیب می‌کنی که من مسیحی بگردم؟» | ۲۸ 28 |
Then Agrippa said to Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
| پولس گفت: «از خداخواهش می‌داشتم یا به قلیل یا به کثیر، نه‌تنها توبلکه جمیع این اشخاصی که امروز سخن مرامی شنوند مثل من گردند، جز این زنجیرها!» | ۲۹ 29 |
And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
| چون این را گفت، پادشاه و والی و برنیکی وسایر مجلسیان برخاسته، | ۳۰ 30 |
And when he had thus spoken, the king rose, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
| رفتند و با یکدیگرگفتگو کرده، گفتند: «این شخص هیچ عملی مستوجب قتل یا حبس نکرده است.» | ۳۱ 31 |
And when they had gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death, or of bonds.
| واغریپاس به فستوس گفت: «اگر این مرد به قیصررفع دعوی خود نمی کرد، او را آزاد کردن ممکن می‌بود.» | ۳۲ 32 |
Then said Agrippa to Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed to Cesar.
