کارهای رسولان 20

۱ 1 و بعد از تمام شدن این هنگامه، پولس شاگردان را طلبیده، ایشان را وداع نمودو به سمت مکادونیه روانه شد.

After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.

۲ 2 و در آن نواحی سیر کرده، اهل آنجا را نصیحت بسیار نمود و به یونانستان آمد.

When he had gone through those parts and had encouraged them with many words, he came into Greece.

۳ 3 و سه ماه توقف نمود و چون عزم سفر سوریه کرد و یهودیان در کمین وی بودند، اراده نمود که از راه مکادونیه مراجعت کند.

When he had spent three months there, and a plot was made against him by Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia.

۴ 4 و سوپاترس از اهل بیریه و ارسترخس وسکندس از اهل تسالونیکی و غایوس از دربه وتیموتاوس و از مردم آسیا تیخیکس و تروفیمس تا به آسیا همراه او رفتند.

These accompanied him as far as Asia: Sopater of Beroea, Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians, Gaius of Derbe, Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.

۵ 5 و ایشان پیش رفته، درترواس منتظر ما شدند.

But these had gone ahead, and were waiting for us at Troas.

۶ 6 و اما ما بعد از ایام فطیراز فیلپی به کشتی سوار شدیم و بعد از پنج روز به ترواس نزد ایشان رسیده، در آنجا هفت روزماندیم.

We sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we stayed seven days.

۷ 7 و در اول هفته چون شاگردان بجهت شکستن نان جمع شدند و پولس در فردای آن روز عازم سفر بود، برای ایشان موعظه می‌کرد و سخن او تانصف شب طول کشید.

On the first day of the week, when the disciples were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day; and continued his speech until midnight.

۸ 8 و در بالاخانه‌ای که جمع بودیم چراغ بسیار بود.

There were many lights in the upper room where we were gathered together.

۹ 9 ناگاه جوانی که افتیخس نام داشت، نزد دریچه نشسته بود که خواب سنگین او را درربود و چون پولس کلام راطول می‌داد، خواب بر او مستولی گشته، از طبقه سوم به زیر افتاد و او را مرده برداشتند.

A certain young man named Eutychus sat in the window, weighed down with deep sleep. As Paul spoke still longer, being weighed down by his sleep, he fell down from the third floor and was taken up dead.

۱۰ 10 آنگاه پولس به زیر آمده، بر او افتاد و وی را در آغوش کشیده، گفت: «مضطرب مباشید زیرا که جان اودر اوست.»

Paul went down and fell upon him, and embracing him said, “Don’t be troubled, for his life is in him.”

۱۱ 11 پس بالا رفته و نان را شکسته، خورد و تا طلوع فجر گفتگوی بسیار کرده، همچنین روانه شد.

When he had gone up, had broken bread and eaten, and had talked with them a long while, even until break of day, he departed.

۱۲ 12 و آن جوان را زنده بردند وتسلی عظیم پذیرفتند.

They brought the boy in alive, and were greatly comforted.

۱۳ 13 اما ما به کشتی سوار شده، به اسوس پیش رفتیم که از آنجا می‌بایست پولس را برداریم که بدینطور قرار داد زیرا خواست تا آنجا پیاده رود.

But we, going ahead to the ship, set sail for Assos, intending to take Paul aboard there; for he had so arranged, intending himself to go by land.

۱۴ 14 پس چون در اسوس او را ملاقات کردیم، او رابرداشته، به متیلینی آمدیم.

When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and came to Mitylene.

۱۵ 15 و از آنجا به دریاکوچ کرده، روز دیگر به مقابل خیوس رسیدیم وروز سوم به ساموس وارد شدیم و در تروجیلیون توقف نموده، روز دیگر وارد میلیتس شدیم.

Sailing from there, we came the following day opposite Chios. The next day we touched at Samos and stayed at Trogyllium, and the day after we came to Miletus.

۱۶ 16 زیرا که پولس عزیمت داشت که از محاذی افسس بگذرد، مبادا او را در آسیا درنگی پیداشود، چونکه تعجیل می‌کرد که اگر ممکن شود تاروز پنطیکاست به اورشلیم برسد.

For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Shavu`ot.

۱۷ 17 پس از میلیتس به افسس فرستاده، کشیشان کلیسا را طلبید.

From Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called to himself the elders of the assembly.

۱۸ 18 و چون به نزدش حاضر شدند، ایشان را گفت: «بر شما معلوم است که از روز اول که وارد آسیا شدم، چطور هر وقت با شما بسرمی بردم؛

When they had come to him, he said to them, “You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,

۱۹ 19 که با کمال فروتنی و اشکهای بسیار وامتحانهایی که از مکاید یهود بر من عارض می‌شد، به خدمت خداوند مشغول می‌بودم.

serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews;

۲۰ 20 وچگونه چیزی را از آنچه برای شما مفید باشد، دریغ نداشتم بلکه آشکارا و خانه به خانه شما رااخبار و تعلیم می‌نمودم.

how I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house,

۲۱ 21 و به یهودیان ویونانیان نیز از توبه به سوی خدا و ایمان به خداوند ما عیسی مسیح شهادت می‌دادم.

testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Yeshua.

۲۲ 22 واینک الان در روح بسته شده، به اورشلیم می‌روم و از آنچه در آنجا بر من واقع خواهد شد، اطلاعی ندارم.

Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;

۲۳ 23 جز اینکه روح‌القدس در هر شهرشهادت داده، می‌گوید که بندها و زحمات برایم مهیا است.

except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.

۲۴ 24 لیکن این چیزها را به هیچ می‌شمارم، بلکه جان خود را عزیز نمی دارم تادور خود را به خوشی به انجام رسانم و آن خدمتی را که از خداوند عیسی یافته‌ام که به بشارت فیض خدا شهادت دهم.

But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Yeshua, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.

۲۵ 25 و الحال این رامی دانم که جمیع شما که در میان شما گشته و به ملکوت خدا موعظه کرده‌ام، دیگر روی مرانخواهید دید.

“Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about proclaiming God’s Kingdom, will see my face no more.

۲۶ 26 پس امروز از شما گواهی می‌طلبم که من از خون همه بری هستم،

Therefore I testify to you today that I am clean from the blood of all men,

۲۷ 27 زیراکه از اعلام نمودن شما به تمامی اراده خداکوتاهی نکردم.

for I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

۲۸ 28 پس نگاه دارید خویشتن وتمامی آن گله را که روح‌القدس شما را بر آن اسقف مقرر فرمود تا کلیسای خدا را رعایت کنیدکه آن را به خون خود خریده است.

Take heed, therefore, to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.

۲۹ 29 زیرا من می‌دانم که بعد از رحلت من، گرگان درنده به میان شما درخواهند آمد که بر گله ترحم نخواهند نمود،

For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

۳۰ 30 و از میان خود شما مردمانی خواهندبرخاست که سخنان کج خواهند گفت تا شاگردان را در عقب خود بکشند.

Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.

۳۱ 31 لهذا بیدار باشید و به یاد آورید که مدت سه سال شبانه‌روز از تنبیه نمودن هر یکی از شما با اشکها باز نایستادم.

Therefore watch, remembering that for a period of three years I didn’t cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.

۳۲ 32 والحال‌ای برادران شما را به خدا و به کلام فیض اومی سپارم که قادر است شما را بنا کند و در میان جمیع مقدسین شما را میراث بخشد.

Now, brothers, I entrust you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

۳۳ 33 نقره یاطلا یا لباس کسی را طمع نورزیدم،

I coveted no one’s silver, gold, or clothing.

۳۴ 34 بلکه خودمی دانید که همین دستها در رفع احتیاج خود ورفقایم خدمت می‌کرد.

You yourselves know that these hands served my necessities, and those who were with me.

۳۵ 35 این همه را به شمانمودم که می‌باید چنین مشقت کشیده، ضعفا رادستگیری نمایید و کلام خداوند عیسی را به‌خاطر دارید که او گفت دادن از گرفتن فرخنده‌تراست.»

In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Yeshua, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

۳۶ 36 این بگفت و زانو زده، با همگی ایشان دعاکرد.

When he had spoken these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

۳۷ 37 و همه گریه بسیار کردند و بر گردن پولس آویخته، او را می‌بوسیدند.

They all wept freely, and fell on Paul’s neck and kissed him,

۳۸ 38 و بسیار متالم شدندخصوص بجهت آن سخنی که گفت: «بعد از این‌روی مرا نخواهید دید.» پس او را تا به کشتی مشایعت نمودند.

sorrowing most of all because of the word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
