2 تیموتاوس 2

۱ 1 پس تو‌ای فرزند من، در فیضی که در مسیح عیسی است زورآور باش.

You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Messiah Yeshua.

۲ 2 و آنچه به شهود بسیار از من شنیدی، به مردمان امین بسپارکه قابل تعلیم دیگران هم باشند.

The things which you have heard from me amongst many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

۳ 3 چون سپاهی نیکوی مسیح عیسی در تحمل زحمات شریک باش.

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Messiah Yeshua.

۴ 4 هیچ سپاهی خود را در امور روزگار گرفتارنمی سازد تا رضایت آنکه او را سپاهی ساخت بجوید.

No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.

۵ 5 و اگر کسی نیز پهلوانی کند، تاج را بدونمی دهند اگر به قانون پهلوانی نکرده باشد.

Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.

۶ 6 برزگری که محنت می‌کشد، باید اول نصیبی ازحاصل ببرد.

The farmer who labours must be the first to get a share of the crops.

۷ 7 در آنچه می‌گویم تفکر کن زیراخداوند تو را در همه‌چیز فهم خواهد بخشید.

Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.

۸ 8 عیسی مسیح را بخاطر دار که از نسل داودبوده، از مردگان برخاست برحسب بشارت من،

Remember Yeshua the Messiah, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,

۹ 9 که در آن چون بدکار تا به بندها زحمت می‌کشم، لیکن کلام خدا بسته نمی شود.

in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.

۱۰ 10 و ازاین جهت همه زحمات را بخاطر برگزیدگان متحمل می‌شوم تا ایشان نیز نجاتی را که درمسیح عیسی است با جلال جاودانی تحصیل کنند. (aiōnios g166)

Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Messiah Yeshua with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)

۱۱ 11 این سخن امین است زیرا اگر با وی مردیم، با او زیست هم خواهیم کرد.

This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.

۱۲ 12 و اگرتحمل کنیم، با او سلطنت هم خواهیم کرد؛ وهرگاه او را انکار کنیم او نیز ما را انکار خواهدکرد.

If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.

۱۳ 13 اگر بی‌ایمان شویم، او امین می‌ماند زیراخود را انکار نمی تواند نمود.

If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can’t deny himself.”

۱۴ 14 این چیزها را به یاد ایشان آور و در حضورخداوند قدغن فرما که مجادله نکنند، زیرا هیچ سود نمی بخشد بلکه باعث هلاکت شنوندگان می‌باشد.

Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord that they don’t argue about words to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.

۱۵ 15 و سعی کن که خود را مقبول خداسازی، عاملی که خجل نشود و کلام خدا رابخوبی انجام دهد.

Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.

۱۶ 16 و از یاوه‌گویی های حرام اعراض نما زیرا که تا به فزونی بی‌دینی ترقی خواهد کرد.

But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,

۱۷ 17 و کلام ایشان، چون آکله می‌خورد و از آنجمله هیمیناوس و فلیطس می‌باشند

and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:

۱۸ 18 که ایشان از حق برگشته، می‌گویندکه قیامت الان شده است و بعضی را از ایمان منحرف می‌سازند.

men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.

۱۹ 19 و لیکن بنیاد ثابت خدا قائم است و این مهر را دارد که «خداوند کسان خود رامی شناسد» و «هرکه نام مسیح را خواند، ازناراستی کناره جوید.»

However, God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”

۲۰ 20 اما در خانه بزرگ نه فقطظروف طلا و نقره می‌باشد، بلکه چوبی و گلی نیز؛ اما آنها برای عزت و اینها برای ذلت.

Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honour and some for dishonour.

۲۱ 21 پس اگرکسی خویشتن را از اینها طاهر سازد، ظرف عزت خواهد بود مقدس و نافع برای مالک خود ومستعد برای هر عمل نیکو.

If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.

۲۲ 22 اما از شهوات جوانی بگریز و با آنانی که ازقلب خالص نام خداوند را می‌خوانند، عدالت وایمان و محبت و سلامتی را تعاقب نما.

Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

۲۳ 23 لیکن ازمسائل بیهوده و بی‌تادیب اعراض نما چون می‌دانی که نزاعها پدید می‌آورد.

But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.

۲۴ 24 اما بنده خدانباید نزاع کند، بلکه با همه کس ملایم و راغب به تعلیم و صابر در مشقت باشد،

The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,

۲۵ 25 و با حلم مخالفین را تادیب نماید که شاید خدا ایشان راتوبه بخشد تا راستی را بشناسند.

in gentleness correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,

۲۶ 26 تا از دام ابلیس باز به هوش آیند که به حسب اراده او صیداو شده‌اند.

and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
