دوم سموئیل 24
| و خشم خداوند بار دیگر بر اسرائیل افروخته شد. پس داود را بر ایشان برانگیزانیده، گفت: «برو و اسرائیل و یهودا رابشمار.» | ۱ 1 |
And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go number Israel and Judah.
| و پادشاه به‌سردار لشکر خود یوآب که همراهش بود، گفت: «الان در تمامی اسباطاسرائیل از دان تا بئرشبع گردش کرده، قوم رابشمار تا عدد قوم را بدانم.» | ۲ 2 |
For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, who [was] with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people.
| و یوآب به پادشاه گفت: «حال یهوه، خدای تو، عدد قوم را هر‌چه باشد، صد چندان زیاده کند، و چشمان آقایم، پادشاه، این را ببیند، لیکن چرا آقایم، پادشاه، خواهش این عمل دارد؟» | ۳ 3 |
And Joab said to the king, Now the LORD thy God add to the people, how many soever they may be, a hundred-fold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see [it]: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?
| اما کلام پادشاه بریوآب و سرداران لشکر غالب آمد و یوآب وسرداران لشکر از حضور پادشاه برای شمردن قوم اسرائیل بیرون رفتند. | ۴ 4 |
Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel.
| و از اردن عبور کرده، در عروعیر به طرف راست شهری که در وسط وادی جاد در مقابل یعزیر است، اردو زدند. | ۵ 5 |
And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that [lieth] in the midst of the river of Gad, and towards Jazer:
| و به جلعاد و زمین تحتیم حدشی آمدند و به دان یعن رسیده، به سوی صیدون دور زدند. | ۶ 6 |
Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtim-hodshi; and they came to Dan-jaan, and about to Zidon,
| و به قلعه صور و تمامی شهرهای حویان و کنعانیان آمدند و به جنوب یهودا تا بئرشبع گذشتند. | ۷ 7 |
And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, [even] to Beer-sheba.
| وچون در تمامی زمین گشته بودند، بعد ازانقضای نه ماه و بیست روز به اورشلیم مراجعت کردند. | ۸ 8 |
So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
| و یوآب عدد شمرده شدگان قوم را به پادشاه داد: از اسرائیل هشتصد هزار مردجنگی شمشیرزن و از یهودا پانصد هزار مردبودند. | ۹ 9 |
And Joab presented the sum of the number of the people to the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah [were] five hundred thousand men.
| و داود بعد از آنکه قوم را شمرده بود، دردل خود پشیمان گشت. پس داود به خداوندگفت: «در این کاری که کردم، گناه عظیمی ورزیدم و حال‌ای خداوند گناه بنده خود را عفوفرما زیرا که بسیار احمقانه رفتار نمودم.» | ۱۰ 10 |
And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said to the LORD, I have sinned greatly in what I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
| وبامدادان چون داود برخاست، کلام خداوند به‌جاد نبی که رایی داود بود، نازل شده، گفت: | ۱۱ 11 |
For when David had risen in the morning, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,
| «برو داود را بگو خداوند چنین می‌گوید: سه چیز پیش تو می‌گذارم پس یکی از آنها را برای خود اختیار کن تا برایت به عمل آورم.» | ۱۲ 12 |
Go and say to David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three [things]; choose thee one of them, that I may [do it] to thee.
| پس جاد نزد داود آمده، او را مخبر ساخت و گفت: «آیا هفت سال قحط در زمینت برتو عارض شود، یا سه ماه از حضور دشمنان خود فرار نمایی وایشان تو را تعاقب کنند، یا وبا سه روز در زمین توواقع شود. پس الان تشخیص نموده، ببین که نزدفرستنده خود چه جواب ببرم.» | ۱۳ 13 |
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said to him, Shall seven years of famine come upon thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thy enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? Now consider, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
| داود به‌جادگفت: «در شدت تنگی هستم. تمنا اینکه به‌دست خداوند بیفتیم زیرا که رحمتهای او عظیم است وبه‌دست انسان نیفتم.» | ۱۴ 14 |
And David said to Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies [are] great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
| پس خداوند وبا براسرائیل از آن صبح تاوقت معین فرستاد و هفتاد هزار نفر از قوم، از دان تا بئرشبع مردند. | ۱۵ 15 |
So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beer-sheba seventy thousand men.
| و چون فرشته، دست خود رابر اورشلیم دراز کرد تا آن را هلاک سازد، خداونداز آن بلا پشیمان شد و به فرشته‌ای که قوم راهلاک می‌ساخت گفت: «کافی است! حال دست خود را باز دار.» و فرشته خداوند نزد خرمنگاه ارونه یبوسی بود. | ۱۶ 16 |
And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thy hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshing-place of Araunah the Jebusite.
| و چون داود، فرشته‌ای را که قوم را هلاک می‌ساخت دید، به خداوند عرض کرده، گفت: «اینک من گناه کرده‌ام و من عصیان ورزیده‌ام اما این گوسفندان چه کرده‌اند؟ تمنااینکه دست تو بر من و برخاندان پدرم باشد.» | ۱۷ 17 |
And David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thy hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house.
| و در آن روز جاد نزد داود آمده، گفت: «بروو مذبحی در خرمنگاه ارونه یبوسی برای خداوندبرپا کن.» | ۱۸ 18 |
And Gad came that day to David, and said to him, Go up, rear an altar to the LORD in the threshing-floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
| پس داود موافق کلام جاد چنانکه خداوند امر فرموده بود، رفت. | ۱۹ 19 |
And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded.
| و چون ارونه نظر انداخته، پادشاه و بندگانش را دید که نزد وی می‌آیند، ارونه بیرون آمده، به حضور پادشاه به روی خود به زمین افتاده، تعظیم نمود. | ۲۰ 20 |
And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming towards him: And Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.
| و ارونه گفت: «آقایم، پادشاه، چرا نزد بنده خود آمده است؟» داود گفت: «تا خرمنگاه را از تو بخرم ومذبحی برای خداوند بنا نمایم و تا وبا از قوم رفع شود.» | ۲۱ 21 |
And Araunah said, Why is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshing-floor of thee, to build an altar to the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
| و ارونه به داود عرض کرد: «آقایم پادشاه آنچه را که در نظرش پسند آیدگرفته، قربانی کند و اینک گاوان به جهت قربانی سوختنی و چومها و اسباب گاوان به جهت هیزم. این همه را‌ای پادشاه، ارونه به پادشاه می‌دهد. و ارونه به پادشاه گفت: «یهوه، خدایت، تو را قبول فرماید.» | ۲۲ 22 |
And Araunah said to David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what [seemeth] good to him: behold, [here are] oxen for burnt-sacrifice, and threshing-instruments and [other] instruments of the oxen for wood.
| اما پادشاه به ارونه گفت: «نی، بلکه البته به قیمت از توخواهم گرفت، و برای یهوه، خدای خود، قربانی های سوختنی بی‌قیمت نخواهم گذرانید.» پس داود خرمنگاه و گاوان را به پنجاه مثقال نقره خرید. | ۲۳ 23 |
All these [things] did Araunah, [as] a king, give to the king. And Araunah said to the king, The LORD thy God accept thee.
| و داود در آنجا مذبحی برای خداوند بنانموده، قربانی های سوختنی و ذبایح سلامتی گذرانید. پس خداوند به جهت زمین اجابت فرمود و وبا از اسرائیل رفع شد. گذرانید. پس خداوند به جهت زمین اجابت فرمود و وبا از اسرائیل رفع شد. | ۲۴ 24 |
And the king said to Araunah, No; but I will surely buy [it] of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt-offerings to the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing-floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

And David built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings. So the LORD was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
