دوم سموئیل 16

۱ 1 و چون داود از سر کوه اندکی گذشته بود، اینک صیبا، خادم مفیبوشت، بایک جفت الاغ آراسته که دویست قرص نان وصد قرص کشمش و صد قرص انجیر و یک مشک شراب بر آنها بود، به استقبال وی آمد.

When Dauid was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the seruant of Mephibosheth mette him with a couple of asses sadled, and vpon them two hundreth cakes of bread, and an hundreth bunches of raisins, and an hundreth of dryed figges, and a bottel of wine.

۲ 2 و پادشاه به صیبا گفت: «از این چیزها چه مقصودداری؟» صیبا گفت: «الاغها به جهت سوار شدن اهل خانه پادشاه، و نان و انجیر برای خوراک خادمان، و شراب به جهت نوشیدن خسته شدگان در بیابان است.»

And the King said vnto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, They be asses for the kings housholde to ride on, and bread and dryed figges for the yong men to eate, and wine, that the faint may drinke in the wildernesse.

۳ 3 پادشاه گفت: «اما پسر آقایت کجا است؟» صیبا به پادشاه عرض کرد: «اینک دراورشلیم مانده است، زیرا فکر می‌کند که امروزخاندان اسرائیل سلطنت پدر مرا به من ردخواهند کرد.»

And the king sayde, But where is thy masters sonne? Then Ziba answered the King, Beholde, he remayneth in Ierusalem: for he sayde, This day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdome of my father.

۴ 4 پادشاه به صیبا گفت: «اینک کل مایملک مفیبوشت از مال توست.» پس صیباگفت: «اظهار بندگی می‌نمایم‌ای آقایم پادشاه، تمنا اینکه در نظر تو التفات یابم.»

Then said the King to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that perteined vnto Mephibosheth. And Ziba saide, I beseech thee, let me finde grace in thy sight, my lord, O King.

۵ 5 و چون داود پادشاه به بحوریم رسید، اینک شخصی از قبیله خاندان شاول مسمی به شمعی از آنجا بیرون آمد و چون می‌آمد، دشنام می‌داد.

And when king Dauid came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the familie of the house of Saul, named Shimei the sonne of Gera: and he came out, and cursed.

۶ 6 و به داود و به جمیع خادمان داود پادشاه سنگهامی انداخت، و تمامی قوم و جمیع شجاعان به طرف راست و چپ او بودند

And he cast stones at Dauid, and at all the seruants of King Dauid: and all the people, and all the men of warre were on his right hande, and on his left.

۷ 7 و شمعی دشنام داده، چنین می‌گفت: «دور شو دور شو‌ای مردخون ریز و‌ای مرد بلیعال!

And thus sayde Shimei when hee cursed, Come forth, come foorth thou murtherer, and wicked man.

۸ 8 خداوند تمامی خون خاندان شاول را که در جایش سلطنت نمودی برتو رد کرده، و خداوند سلطنت را به‌دست پسر توابشالوم، تسلیم نموده است، و اینک چونکه مردی خون ریز هستی، به شرارت خود گرفتارشده‌ای.»

The Lord hath brought vpon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned: and the Lord hath deliuered thy kingdome into the hand of Absalom thy sonne: and beholde, thou art taken in thy wickednesse, because thou art a murtherer.

۹ 9 و ابیشای ابن صرویه به پادشاه گفت که «چرااین سگ مرده، آقایم پادشاه را دشنام دهد؟ مستدعی آنکه بروم و سرش را از تن جدا کنم.»

Then saide Abishai the sonne of Zeruiah vnto the King, Why doeth this dead dog curse my lord the King? let me goe, I pray thee, and take away his head.

۱۰ 10 پادشاه گفت: «ای پسران صرویه مرا با شما چه‌کار است؟ بگذارید که دشنام دهد، زیرا خداونداو را گفته است که داود را دشنام بده، پس کیست که بگوید چرا این کار را می‌کنی؟»

But the King saide, What haue I to doe with you, ye sonnes of Zeruiah? for he curseth, eue because the Lord hath bidden him curse Dauid: who dare then say, Wherfore hast thou done so?

۱۱ 11 و داود به ابیشای و به تمامی خادمان گفت: «اینک پسر من که از صلب من بیرون آمد، قصد جان من دارد، پس حال چند مرتبه زیاده این بنیامینی، پس او رابگذارید که دشنام دهد زیرا خداوند او را امرفرموده است.

And Dauid sayd to Abishai, and to all his seruants, Beholde, my sonne which came out of mine owne bowels, seeketh my life: then howe much more now may this sonne of Iemini? Suffer him to curse: for the Lord hath bidden him.

۱۲ 12 شاید خداوند بر مصیبت من نگاه کند و خداوند به عوض دشنامی که او امروز به من می‌دهد، به من جزای نیکو دهد.»

It may be that the Lord will looke on mine affliction, and doe me good for his cursing this day.

۱۳ 13 پس داود ومردانش راه خود را پیش گرفتند و اما شمعی دربرابر ایشان به‌جانب کوه می‌رفت و چون می‌رفت، دشنام داده، سنگها به سوی او می‌انداخت و خاک به هوا می‌پاشید.

And as Dauid and his men went by the way, Shimei went by the side of the mountaine ouer against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones against him, and cast dust.

۱۴ 14 و پادشاه با تمامی قومی که همراهش بودند، خسته شده، آمدند و در آنجااستراحت کردند.

Then came the King and all the people that were with him wearie, and refreshed them selues there.

۱۵ 15 و اما ابشالوم و تمامی گروه مردان اسرائیل به اورشلیم آمدند، و اخیتوفل همراهش بود،

And Absalom, and all the people, the men of Israel, came to Ierusalem, and Ahithophel with him.

۱۶ 16 وچون حوشای ارکی، دوست داود، نزد ابشالوم رسید، حوشای به ابشالوم گفت: «پادشاه زنده بماند! پادشاه زنده بماند!»

And when Hushai the Archite Dauids friend was come vnto Absalom, Hushai said vnto Absalom, God saue the King, God saue the King.

۱۷ 17 و ابشالوم به حوشای گفت: «آیا مهربانی تو با دوست خود این است؟ چرا با دوست خود نرفتی؟»

Then Absalom sayd to Hushai, Is this thy kindenes to thy friend? Why wentest thou not with thy friend?

۱۸ 18 و حوشای به ابشالوم گفت: «نی، بلکه هرکس را که خداوند واین قوم و جمیع مردان اسرائیل برگزیده باشند، بنده او خواهم بود و نزد او خواهم ماند.

Hushai then answered vnto Absalom, Nay, but whome the Lord, and this people, and all the men of Israel chuse, his will I be, and with him will I dwell.

۱۹ 19 و ثانی که را می‌باید خدمت نمایم؟ آیا نه نزد پسر او؟ پس چنانکه به حضور پدر تو خدمت نموده‌ام، به همان طور در حضور تو خواهم بود.»

And moreouer vnto whome shall I doe seruice? not to his sonne? as I serued before thy father, so will I before thee.

۲۰ 20 و ابشالوم به اخیتوفل گفت: «شما مشورت کنید که چه بکنیم.»

Then spake Absalom to Ahithophel, Giue counsell what we shall doe.

۲۱ 21 و اخیتوفل به ابشالوم گفت که «نزد متعه های پدر خود که به جهت نگاهبانی خانه گذاشته است، درآی، و چون تمامی اسرائیل بشنوند که نزد پدرت مکروه شده‌ای، آنگاه دست تمامی همراهانت قوی خواهد شد.»

And Ahithophel said vnto Absalom, Goe in to thy fathers concubines, which he hath left to keepe the house: and when all Israel shall heare, that thou art abhorred of thy father, the hands of all that are with thee, shall be strong.

۲۲ 22 پس خیمه‌ای بر پشت بام برای ابشالوم برپاکردند و ابشالوم در نظر تمامی بنی‌اسرائیل نزدمتعه های پدرش درآمد.

So they spread Absalom a tent vpon the top of the house, and Absalom went in to his fathers concubines in the sight of all Israel.

۲۳ 23 و مشورتی که اخیتوفل در آن روزها می‌داد، مثل آن بود که کسی از کلام خدا سوال کند. و هر مشورتی که اخیتوفل هم به داود و هم به ابشالوم می‌داد، چنین می‌بود.

And the counsell of Ahithophel which he counseled in those dayes, was like as one had asked counsell at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with Dauid and with Absalom.
