دوم پطرس 3
| این رساله دوم را‌ای حبیبان الان به شمامی نویسم که به این هردو، دل پاک شما را به طریق یادگاری برمی انگیزانم، | ۱ 1 |
This second epistle, beloved, I now write to you; in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
| تا بخاطر آریدکلماتی که انبیای مقدس، پیش گفته‌اند و حکم خداوند و نجات‌دهنده را که به رسولان شما داده شد. | ۲ 2 |
That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
| و نخست این را می‌دانید که در ایام آخرمستهزئین با استهزا ظاهر خواهند شد که بر وفق شهوات خود رفتار نموده، | ۳ 3 |
Knowing this first, that there will come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
| خواهند گفت: «کجاست وعده آمدن او؟ زیرا از زمانی که پدران به خواب رفتند، هرچیز به همینطوری که ازابتدای آفرینش بود، باقی است.» | ۴ 4 |
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.
| زیرا که ایشان عمد از این غافل هستند که به کلام خدا آسمانهااز قدیم بود و زمین از آب و به آب قائم گردید. | ۵ 5 |
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
| وبه این هردو، عالمی که آن وقت بود در آب غرق شده، هلاک گشت. | ۶ 6 |
By which the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
| لکن آسمان و زمین الان به همان کلام برای آتش ذخیره شده و تا روز داوری و هلاکت، مردم بی‌دین نگاه داشته شده‌اند. | ۷ 7 |
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
| لکن‌ای حبیبان، این یک چیز از شما مخفی نماند که یک روز نزد خدا چون هزار سال است وهزار سال چون یک روز. | ۸ 8 |
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
| خداوند در وعده خودتاخیر نمی نماید چنانکه بعضی تاخیرمی پندارند، بلکه بر شما تحمل می‌نماید چون نمی خواهد که کسی هلاک گردد بلکه همه به توبه گرایند. | ۹ 9 |
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
| لکن روز خداوند چون دزد خواهدآمد که در آن آسمانها به صدای عظیم زایل خواهند شد و عناصر سوخته شده، از هم خواهدپاشید و زمین و کارهایی که در آن است سوخته خواهد شد. | ۱۰ 10 |
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein will be burned up.
| پس چون جمیع اینها متفرق خواهندگردید، شما چطور مردمان باید باشید، در هرسیرت مقدس و دینداری؟ | ۱۱ 11 |
[Seeing] then [that] all these things will be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy deportment and godliness,
| و آمدن روز خدارا انتظار بکشید و آن را بشتابانید که در آن آسمانها سوخته شده، از هم متفرق خواهند شد وعناصر از حرارت گداخته خواهد گردید. | ۱۲ 12 |
Looking for and hasting to the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
| ولی بحسب وعده او، منتظر آسمانهای جدید و زمین جدید هستیم که در آنها عدالت ساکن خواهد بود. | ۱۳ 13 |
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which dwelleth righteousness.
| لهذا‌ای حبیبان، چون انتظار این چیزها رامی کشید، جد و جهد نمایید تا نزد او بی‌داغ و بی عیب در سلامتی یافت شوید. | ۱۴ 14 |
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
| و تحمل خداوند ما را نجات بدانید، چنانکه برادر حبیب ماپولس نیز برحسب حکمتی که به وی داده شد، به شما نوشت. | ۱۵ 15 |
And account [that] the long-suffering of our Lord [is] salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, hath written to you;
| و همچنین در سایر رساله های خود این چیزها را بیان می‌نماید که در آنها بعضی چیزهاست که فهمیدن آنها مشکل است و مردمان بی‌علم و ناپایدار آنها را مثل سایر کتب تحریف می کنند تا به هلاکت خود برسند. | ۱۶ 16 |
As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
| پس شما‌ای حبیبان، چون این امور را ازپیش می‌دانید، باحذر باشید که مبادا به گمراهی بی‌دینان ربوده شده، از پایداری خود بیفتید. | ۱۷ 17 |
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
