دوم تواریخ 1

۱ 1 و سلیمان پسر داود در سلطنت خود قوی شد و یهوه خدایش با وی می‌بود و او راعظمت بسیار بخشید.

And Solomon the son of David strengthened himself in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and caused him to become exceedingly great.

۲ 2 و سلیمان تمامی اسرائیل و سرداران هزاره وصده و داوران و هر رئیسی را که در تمامی اسرائیل بود از روسای خاندانهای آبا خواند.

Then said Solomon unto all Israel, to the captains of the thousands and of the hundreds, and to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the chiefs of the family divisions [that they should go with him].

۳ 3 وسلیمان با تمامی جماعت به مکان بلندی که درجبعون بود رفتند زیرا خیمه اجتماع خدا که موسی بنده خداوند آن را در بیابان ساخته بود درآنجا بود.

Thereupon went Solomon, and all the assembly with him, to the high-place that was at Gib'on; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the wilderness.

۴ 4 لیکن داود تابوت خدا را از قریه یعاریم به‌جایی که داود برایش مهیا کرده بود بالاآورد و خیمه‌ای برایش در اورشلیم برپا نمود.

Nevertheless the ark of God had David brought up from Kiryath-ye'arim to [the place which] David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

۵ 5 ومذبح برنجینی که بصلئیل بن اوری ابن حورساخته بود، در آنجا پیش مسکن خداوند ماند وسلیمان و جماعت نزد آن مسالت نمودند.

But the copper altar, which Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Chur, had made, he placed before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and the assembly sought for it.

۶ 6 پس سلیمان به آنجا نزد مذبح برنجینی که در خیمه اجتماع بود به حضور خداوند برآمده، هزارقربانی سوختنی بر آن گذرانید.

And Solomon sacrificed there on the copper altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered upon it a thousand burnt-offerings.

۷ 7 در همان شب خدا به سلیمان ظاهر شد و اورا گفت: «آنچه را که به تو بدهم طلب نما.»

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

۸ 8 سلیمان به خدا گفت: «تو به پدرم داود احسان عظیم نمودی و مرا به‌جای او پادشاه ساختی.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shown unto David my father great kindness, and hast made me king in his stead.

۹ 9 حال‌ای یهوه خدا به وعده خود که به پدرم داوددادی وفا نما زیرا که تو مرا بر قومی که مثل غبار زمین کثیرند پادشاه ساختی.

Now, O Lord God, let thy word unto David my father be verified; for thou hast made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.

۱۰ 10 الان حکمت ومعرفت را به من عطا فرما تا به حضور این قوم خروج و دخول نمایم زیرا کیست که این قوم عظیم تو را داوری تواند نمود؟»

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who could [otherwise] judge this thy great people?

۱۱ 11 خدا به سلیمان گفت: «چونکه این در خاطرتو بود و دولت و توانگری و حشمت و جان دشمنانت را نطلبیدی و نیز طول ایام را نخواستی بلکه به جهت خود حکمت و معرفت رادرخواست کردی تا بر قوم من که تو را بر سلطنت ایشان نصب نموده‌ام داوری نمایی.

And God said unto Solomon, Whereas this hath been in thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of thy enemies, and hast not even asked long life; but hast asked for thyself wisdom and knowledge, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

۱۲ 12 لهذاحکمت و معرفت به تو بخشیده شد و دولت وتوانگری و حشمت را نیز به تو خواهم داد که پادشاهانی که قبل از تو بودند مثل آن را نداشتند وبعد از تو نیز مثل آن را نخواهند داشت.»

[Therefore] are the wisdom and the knowledge granted unto thee; and riches, and wealth, and honor, will I give thee, such as no kings that have been before thee have had, and the like of which after thee none shall have.

۱۳ 13 پس سلیمان از مکان بلندی که در جبعون بود ازحضور خیمه اجتماع به اورشلیم مراجعت کرد وبر اسرائیل سلطنت نمود.

Then came Solomon from the high-place that was at Gib'on to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.

۱۴ 14 و سلیمان ارابه‌ها و سواران جمع کرده، هزار و چهارصد ارابه و دوازده هزار سوار داشت، و آنها را در شهرهای ارابه‌ها و نزد پادشاه دراورشلیم گذاشت.

And Solomon brought together chariots and horsemen; and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he placed them in the chariot-cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

۱۵ 15 و پادشاه نقره و طلا را دراورشلیم مثل سنگها و چوب سرو آزاد را مثل چوب افراغ که در همواری است فراوان ساخت.

And the king rendered the silver and gold at Jerusalem like stones, and cedar-trees he rendered as the sycamore-trees that are in the lowlands for abundance.

۱۶ 16 و اسبهای سلیمان از مصر آورده می‌شد، و تاجران پادشاه دسته های آنها را می‌خریدند هردسته را به قیمت معین.

And Solomon had his horses brought out of Egypt; a company of the king's merchants bought a quantity at a price.

۱۷ 17 و یک ارابه را به قیمت ششصد مثقال نقره از مصر بیرون می‌آوردند ومی رسانیدند و یک اسب را به قیمت صد و پنجاه، و همچنین برای جمیع پادشاهان حتیان وپادشاهان ارام به توسط آنها بیرون می‌آوردند.

And they brought up, and fetched out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty; and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
