دوم تواریخ 6

۱ 1 آنگاه سلیمان گفت: «خداوند فرموده است که در تاریکی غلیظ ساکن می‌شوم.

Then Salomon sayd, The Lord hath sayde that he would dwell in the darke cloude:

۲ 2 اما من خانه‌ای برای سکونت تو و مکانی را که تا به ابدساکن شوی بنا نموده‌ام.»

And I haue built thee an house to dwell in, an habitation for thee to dwell in for euer.

۳ 3 و پادشاه روی خود را برگردانیده، تمامی جماعت اسرائیل را برکت داد، و تمامی جماعت اسرائیل بایستادند.

And the King turned his face, and blessed all the Congregation of Israel (for all the Congregation of Israel stoode there)

۴ 4 پس گفت: «یهوه خدای اسرائیل متبارک باد که به دهان خود به پدرم داودوعده داده، و به‌دست خود آن را به‌جا آورده، گفت:

And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who spake with his mouth vnto Dauid my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

۵ 5 از روزی که قوم خود را از زمین مصربیرون آوردم شهری از جمیع اسباط اسرائیل برنگزیدم تا خانه‌ای بنا نمایم که اسم من در آن باشد، و کسی را برنگزیدم تا پیشوای قوم من اسرائیل بشود.

Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no citie of al the tribes of Israel to buylde an house, that my Name might be there, neyther chose I any man to be a ruler ouer my people Israel:

۶ 6 اما اورشلیم را برگزیدم تا اسم من در آنجا باشد و داود را انتخاب نمودم تاپیشوای قوم من اسرائیل بشود.

But I haue chosen Ierusalem, that my Name might be there, and haue chosen Dauid to be ouer my people Israel.

۷ 7 و در دل پدرم داود بود که خانه‌ای برای اسم یهوه خدای اسرائیل بنا نماید.

And it was in the heart of Dauid my father to builde an house vnto the Name of the Lord God of Israel,

۸ 8 اما خداوند به پدرم داودگفت: چون در دل تو بود که خانه‌ای برای اسم من بنا نمایی نیکو کردی که این را در دل خود نهادی.

But the Lord sayde to Dauid my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to buylde an house vnto my Name, thou diddest well, that thou wast so minded.

۹ 9 لیکن تو خانه را بنا نخواهی نمود، بلکه پسر توکه از صلب تو بیرون آید او خانه را برای اسم من بنا خواهد کرد.

Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house, but thy sonne which shall come out of thy loynes, he shall buylde an house vnto my Name.

۱۰ 10 پس خداوند کلامی را که گفته بود ثابت گردانید و من به‌جای پدرم داودبرخاسته، و بر وفق آنچه خداوند گفته بود برکرسی اسرائیل نشسته‌ام و خانه را به اسم یهوه خدای اسرائیل بنا نمودم.

And the Lord hath performed his worde that he spake: and I am risen vp in the roume of Dauid my father, and am set on the throne of Israel as the Lord promised, and haue built an house to the Name of the Lord God of Israel.

۱۱ 11 و تابوت را که عهدخداوند که آن را با بنی‌اسرائیل بسته بود در آن می‌باشد در آنجا گذاشته‌ام.»

And I haue set the Arke there, wherein is the couenant of the Lord, that he made with the children of Israel.

۱۲ 12 و او پیش مذبح خداوند به حضور تمامی جماعت اسرائیل ایستاده، دستهای خود رابرافراشت.

And the King stoode before the altar of the Lord, in the presence of all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his hands,

۱۳ 13 زیرا که سلیمان منبر برنجینی را که طولش پنج ذراع، و عرضش پنج ذراع، و بلندیش سه ذراع بود ساخته، آن را در میان صحن گذاشت و بر آن ایستاده، به حضور تمامی جماعت اسرائیل زانو زد و دستهای خود را به سوی آسمان برافراشته،

(For Salomon had made a brasen skaffold and set it in the middes of the court, of fiue cubites long, and fiue cubites broade, and three cubites of height, and vpon it he stoode, and kneeled downe vpon his knees before all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his hands toward heauen)

۱۴ 14 گفت: «ای یهوه خدای اسرائیل! خدایی مثل تو نه در آسمان و نه در زمین می‌باشد که با بندگان خود که به حضور تو به تمامی دل خویش سلوک می‌نمایند، عهد ورحمت را نگاه می‌داری.

And sayd, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in heauen nor in earth, which keepest couenant, and mercie vnto thy seruants, that walke before thee with all their heart.

۱۵ 15 و آن وعده‌ای را که به بنده خود پدرم داود داده‌ای نگاه داشته‌ای زیرا به دهان خود وعده دادی و به‌دست خود آن را وفانمودی چنانکه امروز شده است.

Thou that hast kept with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him: for thou spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as appeareth this day.

۱۶ 16 پس الان‌ای یهوه خدای اسرائیل با بنده خود پدرم داود آن وعده را نگاه دار که به او داده و گفته‌ای که به حضور من کسی‌که بر کرسی اسرائیل بنشیندبرای تو منقطع نخواهد شد، به شرطی که پسرانت طریقهای خود را نگاه داشته، به شریعت من سلوک نمایند چنانکه تو به حضور من رفتارنمودی.

Therefore now Lord God of Israel, keepe with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him, saying, Thou shalt not want a man in my sight, that shall sit vpon the throne of Israel: so that thy sonnes take heede to their wayes, to walke in my Lawe, as thou hast walked before me.

۱۷ 17 و الان‌ای یهوه خدای اسرائیل کلامی که به بنده خود داود گفته‌ای ثابت بشود.

And now, O Lord God of Israel, let thy worde be verified, which thou spakest vnto thy seruant Dauid.

۱۸ 18 «اما آیا خدا فی الحقیقه در میان آدمیان برزمین ساکن خواهد شد؟ اینک فلک و فلک الافلاک تو را گنجایش ندارد تا چه رسد به این خانه‌ای که بنا کردم.

(Is it true in deede that God will dwell with man on earth? beholde, the heauens, and the heauens of heauens are not able to conteine thee: how much more vnable is this house, which I haue buylt?)

۱۹ 19 لیکن‌ای یهوه خدای من به دعا وتضرع بنده خود توجه نما و استغاثه و دعایی راکه بنده ات به حضور تو می‌کند اجابت فرما.

But haue thou respect to the prayer of thy seruant, and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to heare the crye and prayer which thy seruant prayeth before thee,

۲۰ 20 تاآنکه شب و روز چشمان تو بر این خانه باز شود وبر مکانی که درباره‌اش وعده داده‌ای که اسم خودرا در آنجا قرار خواهی داد تا دعایی را که بنده ات به سوی این مکان بنماید اجابت کنی.

That thine eyes may be open toward this house day and night, euen toward the place, whereof thou hast sayde, that thou wouldest put thy Name there, that thou mayest hearken vnto the prayer, which thy seruant prayeth in this place.

۲۱ 21 و تضرع بنده ات و قوم خود اسرائیل را که به سوی این مکان دعا می‌نمایند استماع نما و از آسمان مکان سکونت خود بشنو و چون شنیدی عفو فرما.

Heare thou therefore the supplication of thy seruant, and of thy people Israel, which they pray in this place: and heare thou in the place of thine habitation, euen in heauen, and when thou hearest, be mercifull.

۲۲ 22 «اگر کسی با همسایه خود گناه ورزد و قسم بر او عرضه شود که بخورد و او آمده، پیش مذبح تو در این خانه قسم خورد،

When a man shall sinne against his neighbour, and he laye vpon him an othe to cause him to sweare, and the swearer shall come before thine altar in this house,

۲۳ 23 آنگاه از آسمان بشنو و عمل نموده، به جهت بندگانت داوری کن و شریران را جزا داده، طریق ایشان را بسر ایشان برسان، و عادلان را عادل شمرده، ایشان را به حسب عدالت ایشان جزا بده.

Then heare thou in heauen, and doe, and iudge thy seruants, in recompensing the wicked to bring his way vpon his head, and in iustifying the righteous, to giue him according to his righteousnes.

۲۴ 24 «و هنگامی که قوم تو اسرائیل به‌سبب گناهانی که به تو ورزیده باشند به حضور دشمنان خود مغلوب شوند، اگر به سوی تو بازگشت نموده، به اسم تو اعتراف نمایند و نزد تو در این خانه دعا و تضرع کنند،

And when thy people Israel shalbe ouerthrowen before the enemie, because they haue sinned against thee, and turne againe, and confesse thy Name, and pray, and make supplication before thee in this house,

۲۵ 25 آنگاه از آسمان بشنو وگناه قوم خود اسرائیل را بیامرز و ایشان را به زمینی که به ایشان و به پدران ایشان داده‌ای بازآور.

Then heare thou in heauen, and be mercifull vnto the sinne of thy people Israel, and bring them againe vnto the land which thou gauest to them and to their fathers.

۲۶ 26 «هنگامی که آسمان بسته شود و به‌سبب گناهانی که به تو ورزیده باشند باران نبارد، اگر به سوی این مکان دعا کنند و به اسم تو اعتراف نمایند و به‌سبب مصیبتی که به ایشان رسانیده باشی از گناه خویش بازگشت کنند،

When heauen shall be shut vp, and there shalbe no rayne, because they haue sinned against thee, and shall pray in this place, and confesse thy Name, and turne from their sinne, when thou doest afflict them,

۲۷ 27 آنگاه ازآسمان بشنو و گناه بندگانت و قوم خود اسرائیل را بیامرز و راه نیکو را که در آن باید رفت به ایشان تعلیم بده، و به زمین خود که آن را به قوم خویش برای میراث بخشیده‌ای باران بفرست.

Then heare thou in heauen, and pardon the sinne of thy seruants, and of thy people Israel (when thou hast taught them the good way wherein they may walke) and giue rayne vpon thy lande, which thou hast giuen vnto thy people for an inheritance.

۲۸ 28 «اگر در زمین قحطی باشد و اگر وبا یا بادسموم یا یرقان باشد یا اگر ملخ یا کرم باشد و اگردشمنان ایشان، ایشان را در شهرهای زمین ایشان محاصره نمایند هر بلایی یا هر مرضی که بوده باشد.

When there shalbe famine in the land, when there shalbe pestilence, blasting, or mildew, when there shall be grashopper, or caterpiller, when their enemie shall besiege them in the cities of their land, or any plague or any sickenesse,

۲۹ 29 آنگاه هر دعا و هر استغاثه‌ای که از هرمرد یا از تمامی قوم تو اسرائیل کرده شود که هریک از ایشان بلا و غم دل خود را خواهد دانست، و دستهای خود را به سوی این خانه دراز خواهد کرد.

Then what prayer and supplication so euer shalbe made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, whe euery one shall knowe his owne plague, and his owne disease, and shall stretch forth his hands toward this house,

۳۰ 30 آنگاه از آسمان که مکان سکونت تو باشدبشنو و بیامرز و به هر کس که دل او را می‌دانی به حسب راههایش جزا بده، زیرا که تو به تنهایی عارف قلوب جمیع بنی آدم هستی.

Heare thou then in heauen, thy dwelling place, and be merciful, and giue euery man according vnto all his wayes, as thou doest knowe his heart (for thou onely knowest the hearts of the children of men)

۳۱ 31 تا آن که ایشان در تمامی روزهایی که بروی زمینی که به پدران ما داده‌ای زنده باشند از تو بترسند.

That they may feare thee, and walke in thy wayes as long as they liue in the land which thou gauest vnto our fathers.

۳۲ 32 «و نیز غریبی که از قوم تو اسرائیل نباشد وبه‌خاطر اسم عظیم تو و دست قوی و بازوی برافراشته تو از زمین بعید آمده باشد، پس چون بیاید و به سوی این خانه دعا نماید،

Moreouer, as touching ye stranger which is not of thy people Israel, who shall come out of a farre countrey for thy great Names sake, and thy mighty hande, and thy stretched out arme: when they shall come and pray in this house,

۳۳ 33 آنگاه ازآسمان، مکان سکونت خود، بشنو و موافق هرآنچه آن غریب نزد تو استغاثه نماید به عمل آورتا جمیع قومهای جهان اسم تو را بشناسند و مثل قوم تو اسرائیل از تو بترسند و بدانند که اسم تو براین خانه‌ای که بنا کرده‌ام نهاده شده است.

Heare thou in heauen thy dwelling place, and doe according to all that the stranger calleth for vnto thee, that all the people of the earth may knowe thy Name, and feare thee like thy people Israel, and that they may knowe, that thy Name is called vpon in this house which I haue built.

۳۴ 34 «اگر قوم تو برای مقاتله با دشمنان خود به راهی که ایشان را فرستاده باشی، بیرون روند و به سوی شهری که برگزیده‌ای و خانه‌ای که به جهت اسم تو بنا کرده‌ام، نزد تو دعا نمایند،

When thy people shall goe out to battell against their enemies, by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray to thee, in the way towarde this citie, which thou hast chosen, euen toward the house which I haue built to thy Name,

۳۵ 35 آنگاه دعاو تضرع ایشان را از آسمان بشنو و حق ایشان را به‌جا آور.

Then heare thou in heauen their prayer and their supplication, and iudge their cause.

۳۶ 36 «و اگر به تو گناه ورزیده باشند زیرا انسانی نیست که گناه نکند، و بر ایشان غضبناک شده، ایشان را به‌دست دشمنان تسلیم کرده باشی واسیرکنندگان ایشان، ایشان را به زمین دور یانزدیک ببرند،

If they sinne against thee (for there is no man that sinneth not) and thou be angry with them and deliuer them vnto the enemies, and they take them and cary them away captiue vnto a land farre or neere,

۳۷ 37 پس اگر در زمینی که در آن اسیرباشند به خود آمده، بازگشت نمایند و در زمین اسیری خود نزد تو تضرع نموده، گویند که گناه کرده و عصیان ورزیده، و شریرانه رفتارنموده‌ایم،

If they turne againe to their heart in the lande whither they be caryed in captiues, and turne and pray vnto thee in the lande of their captiuitie, saying, We haue sinned, we haue transgressed and haue done wickedly,

۳۸ 38 و در زمین اسیری خویش که ایشان را به آن به اسیری برده باشند، به تمامی دل وتمامی جان خود به تو بازگشت نمایند، و به سوی زمینی که به پدران ایشان داده‌ای و شهری که برگزیده‌ای و خانه‌ای که برای اسم تو بنا کرده‌ام دعا نمایند،

If they turne againe to thee with all their heart, and with all their soule in the land of their captiuitie, whither they haue caryed them captiues, and pray toward their land, which thou gauest vnto their fathers, and toward the citie which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I haue built for thy Name,

۳۹ 39 آنگاه از آسمان، مکان سکونت خود، دعا و تضرع ایشان را بشنو و حق ایشان رابجا آور، و قوم خود را که به تو گناه ورزیده باشندبیامرز.

Then heare thou in heauen, in the place of thine habitation their prayer and their supplication, and iudge their cause, and be mercifull vnto thy people, which haue sinned against thee.

۴۰ 40 پس الان‌ای خدای من چشمان تو بازشود و گوشهای تو به دعاهایی که در این مکان کرده شود شنوا باشد.

Nowe my God, I beseech thee, let thine eyes be open, and thine eares attent vnto the prayer that is made in this place.

۴۱ 41 و حال تو‌ای یهوه خدا، با تابوت قوت خود به سوی آرامگاه خویش برخیز. ای یهوه خدا کاهنان تو به نجات ملبس گردند و مقدسانت به نیکویی شادمان بشوند

Nowe therefore arise, O Lord God, to come into thy rest, thou, and the Arke of thy strength: O Lord God, let thy Priestes be clothed with saluation, and let thy Saints reioyce in goodnesse.

۴۲ 42 ‌ای یهوه خدا روی مسیح خود را برنگردان ورحمتهای بنده خود داود را بیاد آور.»

O Lord God, refuse not the face of thine anoynted: remember the mercies promised to Dauid thy seruant.
