| و بعد از این امور و این امانت، سنخاریب، پادشاه آشور آمده، به یهودا داخل شد، و به ضد شهرهای حصارداراردو زده، خواست که آنها را برای خود مفتوح نماید. | ۱ 1 |
After these things and these acts of faithfulness, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, came and entered Judah. He camped to attack the fortified cities, which he intended to capture for himself.
| و چون حزقیا دید که سنخاریب آمده است و قصد مقاتله با اورشلیم دارد، | ۲ 2 |
When Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come and that he intended to fight against Jerusalem,
| آنگاه باسرداران و شجاعان خود مشورت کرد که آب چشمه های بیرون شهر را مسدود نماید. پس اورااعانت کردند. | ۳ 3 |
he consulted with his leaders and his powerful men to stop up the waters of the springs that were outside the city; they helped him do so.
| و خلق بسیاری جمع شده، همه چشمه‌ها و نهری را که از میان زمین جاری بودمسدود کردند، و گفتند: «چرا باید پادشاهان آشور بیایند و آب فراوان بیابند؟» | ۴ 4 |
So many people gathered together and stopped up all the springs and the stream that was flowing through the middle of the land. They said, “Why should the kings of Assyria come and find a lot of water?”
| پس خویشتن را تقویت داده، تمامی حصار را که شکسته بود، تعمیر نمود و آن را تا برجها بلند نمود و حصاردیگری بیرون آن بنا کرد و ملو را در شهر داودمستحکم نمود و اسلحه‌ها و سپرهای بسیاری ساخت. | ۵ 5 |
Hezekiah took courage and built up all the wall that was broken down. He built the towers higher, and also the other wall outside. He also strengthened the Millo in the city of David, and he made large amounts of weapons and shields.
| و سرداران جنگی بر قوم گماشت وایشان را در جای وسیع نزد دروازه شهر جمع کرده، سخنان دلاویز به ایشان گفت | ۶ 6 |
He placed military commanders over the people. He gathered them together to him in the broad place at the city gate and spoke encouragingly to them. He said,
| که «دلیر وقوی باشید! و از پادشاه آشور و تمامی جمیعتی که با وی هستند، ترسان و هراسان مشوید! زیرا آنکه با ماست از آنکه با وی است قوی تر می‌باشد. | ۷ 7 |
“Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and all the army that is with him, for someone is with us who is greater than those with him.
| با او بازوی بشری است و با ما یهوه خدای مااست تا ما را نصرت دهد و در جنگهای ما جنگ کند.» پس قوم بر سخنان حزقیا پادشاه یهودااعتماد نمودند. | ۸ 8 |
With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is Yahweh, our God, to help us, and to fight our battles.” Then the people comforted themselves with the words of Hezekiah, king of Judah.
| و بعد از آن سنخاریب، پادشاه آشور، بندگان خود را به اورشلیم فرستاد و خودش با تمامی حشمتش در برابر لاکیش بودند که به حزقیاپادشاه یهودا و تمامی یهودا که در اورشلیم بودند، بگویند: | ۹ 9 |
After this, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, sent his servants to Jerusalem (now he was in front of Lachish, and all his army was with him), to Hezekiah, king of Judah, and to all of Judah who were in Jerusalem. He said,
| «سنخاریب پادشاه آشورچنین می‌فرماید: بر چه چیز اعتماد دارید که درمحاصره در اورشلیم می‌مانید؟ | ۱۰ 10 |
“This is what Sennacherib, king of Assyria, says: What are you relying on in order to endure a siege in Jerusalem?
| آیا حزقیا شمارا اغوا نمی کند تا شما را با قحط و تشنگی به موت تسلیم نماید که می‌گوید: یهوه خدای ما، مارا از دست پادشاه آشور رهایی خواهد داد؟ | ۱۱ 11 |
Is not Hezekiah misleading you, that he may give you over to die by famine and by thirst, when he tells you, 'Yahweh our God will rescue us from the hand of the king of Assyria'?
| آیا همین حزقیا مکانهای بلند و مذبحهای اورا منهدم نساخته، و به یهودا و اورشلیم امرنفرموده و نگفته است که پیش یک مذبح سجده نمایید و بر آن بخور بسوزانید؟ | ۱۲ 12 |
Has not this same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, 'On one altar you must worship, and on it you must burn your sacrifices'?
| آیا نمی دانیدکه من و پدرانم به همه طوایف کشورها چه کرده‌ایم؟ مگر خدایان امت های آن کشورها هیچ قدرتی داشتند که زمین خود را از دست من برهانند؟ | ۱۳ 13 |
Do you not know what I and my ancestors have done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of the peoples of the surrounding lands able in any way to rescue their land from my power?
| کدام‌یک از همه خدایان این امت هایی که پدران من آنها را هلاک ساخته‌اند، قادر بر رهانیدن قوم خود از دست من بود تاخدای شما قادر باشد که شما را از دست من رهایی دهد؟ | ۱۴ 14 |
Among all the gods of those nations that my ancestors completely destroyed, was there any god who could rescue his people out of my hand? Why should your God be able to rescue you from my power?
| پس حال، حزقیا شما را فریب ندهد و شما را به اینطور اغوا ننماید و بر اواعتماد منمایید، زیرا هیچ خدا از خدایان جمیع امت‌ها و ممالک قادر نبوده است که قوم خود را ازدست من و از دست پدرانم رهایی دهد، پس به طریق اولی خدای شما شما را از دست من نخواهد رهانید.» | ۱۵ 15 |
Now do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you in this way. Do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to rescue his people out of my hand, or out of the hand of my ancestors. How much less will your God rescue you from my hand?”
| و بندگانش سخنان زیاده به ضد یهوه خدا وبه ضد بنده‌اش حزقیا گفتند. | ۱۶ 16 |
Sennacherib's servants spoke even more against Yahweh God and against his servant Hezekiah.
| و مکتوبی نیزنوشته، یهوه خدای اسرائیل را اهانت نمود و به ضد وی حرف زده، گفت: «چنانکه خدایان امت های کشورها قوم خود را از دست من رهایی ندادند، همچنین خدای حزقیا قوم خویش را ازدست من نخواهد رهانید.» | ۱۷ 17 |
Sennacherib also wrote letters in order to mock Yahweh, the God of Israel, and to speak against him. He said, “As the gods of the nations of the lands have not rescued their people out of my hand, so the God of Hezekiah will not rescue his people out of my hand.”
| و به آواز بلند به زبان یهود به اهل اورشلیم که بر دیوار بودند، ندادر‌دادند تا ایشان را ترسان و مشوش ساخته، شهررا بگیرند. | ۱۸ 18 |
They cried out in the language of the Jews to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten them and trouble them, in order that they might capture the city.
| و درباره خدای اورشلیم مثل خدایان امت های جهان که مصنوع دست آدمیان می‌باشند، سخن‌گفتند. | ۱۹ 19 |
They spoke of the God of Jerusalem as they had spoken of the gods of the other peoples of the earth, which are merely the work of men's hands.
| پس حزقیا پادشاه و اشعیاء ابن آموص نبی درباره این دعا کردند و به سوی آسمان فریادبرآوردند. | ۲۰ 20 |
Hezekiah, the king, and Isaiah son of Amoz, the prophet, prayed because of this matter and he cried out to heaven.
| و خداوند فرشته‌ای فرستاده، همه شجاعان جنگی و روسا و سرداران را که دراردوی پادشاه آشور بودند، هلاک ساخت و او باروی شرمنده به زمین خود مراجعت نمود. وچون به خانه خدای خویش داخل شد، آنانی که از صلبش بیرون آمده بودند، او را در آنجا به شمشیر کشتند. | ۲۱ 21 |
Yahweh sent an angel, who killed the fighting men, the commanders, and the officers of the king in the camp. So Sennacherib returned to his own land with shame on his face. When he had gone into the house of his god, some of his own children killed him there with the sword.
| پس خداوند حزقیا و سکنه اورشلیم را از دست سنحاریب پادشاه آشور و ازدست همه رهایی داده، ایشان را از هر طرف نگاهداری نمود. | ۲۲ 22 |
In this way, Yahweh saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and gave them rest on every side.
| و بسیاری هدایا به اورشلیم برای خداوند و پیشکشها برای حزقیا پادشاه یهودا آوردند و او بعد از آن به نظر همه امت هامحترم شد. | ۲۳ 23 |
Many were bringing offerings to Yahweh in Jerusalem, and precious gifts to Hezekiah king of Judah, so that he was lifted up in the eyes of all nations from that time forward.
| و در آن ایام حزقیا بیمار و مشرف به موت شد. اما چون نزد خداوند دعا نمود، او با وی تکلم کرد و وی را علامتی داد. | ۲۴ 24 |
In those days Hezekiah was sick to the point of dying. He prayed to Yahweh, who spoke to him and gave him a sign that he would be healed.
| لیکن حزقیا موافق احسانی که به وی داده شده بود، عمل ننمود زیرادلش مغرور شد و غضب بر او و یهودا و اورشلیم افروخته گردید. | ۲۵ 25 |
But Hezekiah did not pay back Yahweh for the help given to him, for his heart was lifted up. So anger came on him, and on Judah and Jerusalem.
| اما حزقیا با ساکنان اورشلیم، از غرور دلش تواضع نمود، لهذا غضب خداونددر ایام حزقیا بر ایشان نازل نشد. | ۲۶ 26 |
Nevertheless, Hezekiah later humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that Yahweh's anger did not come on them during Hezekiah's days.
| و حزقیا دولت و حشمت بسیار عظیمی داشت و به جهت خود مخزنها برای نقره و طلا وسنگهای گرانبها و عطریات و سپرها و هر گونه اسباب نفیسه ساخت. | ۲۷ 27 |
Hezekiah had very many riches and much honor. He provided himself with storerooms for silver, gold, precious stones, and for spices, as well as for shields and for all kinds of valuable objects.
| و انبارها برای محصولات از گندم و شیره و روغن و آخرها برای انواع بهایم و آغلها به جهت گله‌ها. | ۲۸ 28 |
He also had storehouses for the harvest of grain, new wine, and oil, and stalls for all kinds of animals. He also had flocks in their pens.
| و به جهت خود شهرها ساخت و مواشی گله‌ها و رمه های بسیار تحصیل نمود زیرا خدا اندوخته های بسیارفراوان به او عطا فرمود. | ۲۹ 29 |
In addition, he provided himself with cities and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance, for God had given him very much wealth.
| و همین حزقیا منبع عالی آب جیحون را مسدود ساخته، آن را به راه راست به طرف غربی شهر داود فرود آورد. پس حزقیا در تمامی اعمالش کامیاب شد. | ۳۰ 30 |
It was this same Hezekiah who also stopped up the upper spring of the waters of Gihon, and who brought them straight down on the west side of the city of David. Hezekiah succeeded in all his projects.
| اما درامر ایلچیان سرداران بابل که نزد وی فرستاده شده بودند تا درباره آیتی که در زمین ظاهر شده بودپرسش نمایند، خدا او را واگذاشت تا او راامتحان نماید و هر‌چه در دلش بود بداند. | ۳۱ 31 |
However, in the matter of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to ask questions of those who knew, about the miraculous sign that had been done in the land, God left him to himself, in order to test him, and to know all that was in his heart.
| و بقیه وقایع حزقیا و حسنات او اینک دررویای اشعیا ابن آموص نبی و در تواریخ پادشاهان یهودا و اسرائیل مکتوب است. | ۳۲ 32 |
As for the other matters concerning Hezekiah, including his actions of covenant loyalty, you can see that they are written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
| پس حزقیا با پدران خود خوابید و او را در بلندی مقبره پسران داود دفن کردند، و تمامی یهودا وساکنان اورشلیم او را در حین وفاتش اکرام نمودند، و پسرش منسی در جایش سلطنت نمود. | ۳۳ 33 |
Hezekiah slept with his ancestors, and they buried him on the hill of the tombs of the descendants of David. All Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem honored him at his death. Manasseh his son became king in his place.
