دوم تواریخ 12

۱ 1 و چون سلطنت رحبعام استوار گردیدو خودش تقویت یافت، او با تمامی اسرائیل شریعت خداوند را ترک نمودند.

And whanne the rewme of Roboam was maad strong and coumfortid, he forsook the lawe of the Lord, and al Israel with hym.

۲ 2 و درسال پنجم سلطنت رحبعام، شیشق پادشاه مصربه اورشلیم برآمد زیراکه ایشان بر خداوند عاصی شده بودند.

Sotheli in the fyuethe yeer of the rewme of Roboam Sesach, the kyng of Egipt, stiede in to Jerusalem, for thei synneden ayens the Lord;

۳ 3 با هزار و دویست ارابه و شصت هزار سوار و خلقی که از مصریان و لوبیان وسکیان و حبشیان همراهش آمدند بیشمار بودند.

and he stiede with a thousynde and two hundrid charys, and with sixti thousynde of horse men, and no noumbre was of the comyn puple, that cam with hym fro Egipt, that is, Libiens, and Trogoditis, and Ethiopiens.

۴ 4 پس شهرهای حصاردار یهودا را گرفت و به اورشلیم آمد.

And he took ful stronge citees in Juda, and he cam `til to Jerusalem.

۵ 5 و شمعیای نبی نزد رحبعام وسروران یهودا که از ترس شیشق در اورشلیم جمع بودند آمده، به ایشان گفت: «خداوند چنین می‌گوید: شما مرا ترک کردید پس من نیز شما رابه‌دست شیشق ترک خواهم نمود.»

Forsothe Semei, the prophete, entride to Roboam, and to the princes of Juda, whiche fleynge fro Sesach weren gaderid togidere `in to Jerusalem. And he seide to hem, The Lord seith these thingis, Ye han forsake me, and Y haue forsake you in the hond of Sesach.

۶ 6 آنگاه سروران اسرائیل و پادشاه تواضع نموده، گفتند: «خداوند عادل است.»

And the princes of Israel and the kyng weren astonyed, and seiden, The Lord is iust.

۷ 7 و چون خداوند دید که ایشان متواضع شده‌اند کلام خداوند بر شمعیانازل شده، گفت: «چونکه ایشان تواضع نموده اند ایشان را هلاک نخواهم کرد بلکه ایشان را اندک زمانی خلاصی خواهم داد و غضب من به‌دست شیشق بر اورشلیم ریخته نخواهد شد.

And whanne the Lord hadde seyn that thei weren mekid, the word of the Lord was maad to Semey, and seide, For thei ben mekid, Y schal not distrie hem, and Y schal yyue to hem a litil help, and my stronge veniaunce schal not droppe on Jerusalem bi the hond of Sesach.

۸ 8 لیکن ایشان بنده او خواهند شد تا بندگی من و بندگی ممالک جهان را بدانند.»

Netheles thei schulen serue hym, that thei knowe the dyuersitee of my seruyce and of the seruyce of the rewme of londis.

۹ 9 پس شیشق پادشاه مصر به اورشلیم برآمده، خزانه های خانه خداوند و خزانه های خانه پادشاه را گرفت و همه‌چیز را برداشت و سپرهای طلا راکه سلیمان ساخته بود برد.

Therfor Sesach, the kyng of Egipt, yede a wey fro Jerusalem, aftir that he hadde take awei the tresouris of the hows of the Lord, and of the kyngis hows; and he took alle thingis with hym, and the goldun scheeldis whiche Salomon hadde maad,

۱۰ 10 و رحبعام پادشاه به عوض آنها سپرهای برنجین ساخت و آنها را به‌دست سرداران شاطرانی که در خانه پادشاه رانگاهبانی می‌کردند سپرد.

for whiche the kyng made brasun scheeldis, and took tho to the princes of scheeld makeris, that kepten the porche of the paleis.

۱۱ 11 و هر وقتی که پادشاه به خانه خداوند داخل می‌شد شاطران آمده، آنهارا برمی داشتند و آنها را به حجره شاطران بازمی آوردند.

And whanne the kyng entride in to the hows of the Lord, the scheeldmakeris camen, and token tho, and eft brouyten tho to his armure place.

۱۲ 12 و چون او متواضع شد خشم خداوند از او برگشت تا او را بالکل هلاک نسازد، و در یهودا نیز اعمال نیکو پیدا شد.

Netheles for thei weren mekid, the ire of the Lord was turned a wei fro hem, and thei weren not don a wei outirli; for good werkis weren foundyn also in Juda.

۱۳ 13 و رحبعام پادشاه، خویشتن را در اورشلیم قوی ساخته، سلطنت نمود و رحبعام چون پادشاه شد چهل و یک ساله بود، و در شهراورشلیم که خداوند آن را از تمام اسباط اسرائیل برگزید تا اسم خود را در آن بگذارد، هفده سال پادشاهی کرد و اسم مادرش نعمه عمونیه بود.

Therfor kyng Roboam was coumfortid in Jerusalem, and regnede. Forsothe he was of oon and fourti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde seuentene yeer in Jerusalem, the citee which the Lord chees of alle the lynagis of Israel, that he schulde conferme his name there. Forsothe the name of his modir was Naama Amanytis.

۱۴ 14 و او شرارت ورزید زیرا که خداوند را به تصمیم قلب طلب ننمود.

And he dide yuel, and he made not redi his herte to seke God.

۱۵ 15 و اما وقایع اول و آخر رحبعام آیا آنها درتواریخ شمعیای نبی و تواریخ انساب عدوی رایی مکتوب نیست؟ و در میان رحبعام و یربعام پیوسته جنگ می‌بود.

Sotheli the firste and the laste werkis of Roboam ben writun, and diligentli declarid in the bookis of Semei the profete, and of Abdo the profete.

۱۶ 16 پس رحبعام با پدران خود خوابید و در شهر داود دفن شد و پسرش ابیا به‌جایش سلطنت کرد.

And Roboam and Jeroboam fouyten in alle daies ayens hem silf. And Roboam slepte with hise fadris, and was biried in the citee of Dauid; and Abia, his sone, regnede for hym.
