اول سموئیل 17
| و فلسطینیان لشکر خود را برای جنگ جمع نموده، در سوکوه که در یهودیه است، جمع شدند، و در میان سوکوه و عزیقه درافس دمیم اردو زدند. | ۱ 1 |
Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle; and they were gathered together at Socoh, which belongs to Judah, and camped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes Dammim.
| و شاول و مردان اسرائیل جمع شده، در دره ایلاه اردو زده، به مقابله فلسطینیان صف آرایی کردند. | ۲ 2 |
Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and camped in the Valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines.
| و فلسطینیان برکوه از یک طرف ایستادند، و اسرائیلیان بر کوه به طرف دیگر ایستادند، و دره در میان ایشان بود. | ۳ 3 |
The Philistines stood on the mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on the mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
| و از اردوی فلسطینیان مرد مبارزی مسمی به جلیات که از شهر جت بود بیرون آمد، و قدش شش ذراع و یک وجب بود. | ۴ 4 |
There went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six feet eight inches.
| و بر سر خود، خودبرنجینی داشت و به زره فلسی ملبس بود، و وزن زره‌اش پنج هزار مثقال برنج بود. | ۵ 5 |
He had a helmet of bronze on his head, and he was clad with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of bronze.
| و بر ساقهایش ساق بندهای برنجین و در میان کتفهایش مزراق برنجین بود. | ۶ 6 |
And he had bronze shin guards on his legs, and a javelin of bronze between his shoulders.
| و چوب نیزه‌اش مثل نوردجولاهگان و سرنیزه‌اش ششصد مثقال آهن بود، و سپردارش پیش او می‌رفت. | ۷ 7 |
The staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and his shield bearer went before him.
| و او ایستاده، افواج اسرائیل را صدا زد و به ایشان گفت: «چرابیرون آمده، صف آرایی نمودید؟ آیا من فلسطینی نیستم و شما بندگان شاول؟ برای خودشخصی برگزینید تا نزد من درآید. | ۸ 8 |
He stood and shouted to the armies of Israel, and said to them, "Why have you come out to set your battle in array? Am I not a Philistine, and you servants to Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me.
| اگر او بتواندبا من جنگ کرده، مرا بکشد، ما بندگان شماخواهیم شد، و اگر من بر او غالب آمده، او رابکشم شما بندگان ما شده، ما را بندگی خواهیدنمود.» | ۹ 9 |
If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants; but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then you will be our servants, and serve us."
| و فلسطینی گفت: «من امروز فوجهای اسرائیل را به ننگ می‌آورم، شخصی به من بدهیدتا با هم جنگ نماییم.» | ۱۰ 10 |
The Philistine said, "I defy the armies of Israel this day. Give me a man, that we may fight together."
| و چون شاول و جمیع اسرائیلیان این سخنان فلسطینی را شنیدندهراسان شده، بسیار بترسیدند. | ۱۱ 11 |
When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
| و داود پسر آن مرد افراتی بیت لحم یهودابود که یسا نام داشت، و او را هشت پسر بود، و آن مرد در ایام شاول در میان مردمان پیر و سالخورده بود. | ۱۲ 12 |
Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem in Judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons. And in the days of Saul the man was old and advanced in years.
| و سه پسر بزرگ یسا روانه شده، در عقب شاول به جنگ رفتند و اسم سه پسرش که به جنگ رفته بودند: نخست زاده‌اش الیاب و دومش ابیناداب و سوم شماه بود. | ۱۳ 13 |
The three eldest sons of Jesse had gone after Saul to the battle. And the names of his sons who went to the battle were Eliab, the firstborn, and Abinadab, the second, and Shimeah, the third.
| و داود کوچکتر بودو آن سه بزرگ در عقب شاول رفته بودند. | ۱۴ 14 |
David was the youngest; and the three eldest followed Saul.
| و داود از نزد شاول آمد و رفت می‌کرد تا گوسفندان پدر خود را در بیت لحم بچراند. | ۱۵ 15 |
Now David went back and forth from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Bethlehem.
| و آن فلسطینی صبح و شام می‌آمد و چهل روز خود راظاهر می‌ساخت. | ۱۶ 16 |
The Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.
| و یسا به پسر خود داود گفت: «الان به جهت برادرانت یک ایفه از این غله برشته و این ده قرص نان را بگیر و به اردو نزد برادرانت بشتاب. | ۱۷ 17 |
Jesse said to David his son, "Now take for your brothers an ephah of this parched grain, and these ten loaves, and carry them quickly to the camp and give them to your brothers;
| و این ده قطعه پنیر را برای سردار هزاره ایشان ببر و از سلامتی برادرانت بپرس و از ایشان نشانی‌ای بگیر.» | ۱۸ 18 |
and bring these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand, and see how your brothers are doing, and bring back news."
| و شاول و آنها و جمیع مردان اسرائیل دردره ایلاه بودند و با فلسطینیان جنگ می‌کردند. | ۱۹ 19 |
Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the Valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
| پس داود بامدادان برخاسته، گله را به‌دست چوپان واگذاشت و برداشته، چنانکه یسا او را امرفرموده بود برفت، و به سنگر اردو رسید وقتی که لشکر به میدان بیرون رفته، برای جنگ نعره می‌زدند. | ۲۰ 20 |
David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the place of the wagons, as the army which was going forth to the fight shouted for the battle.
| و اسرائیلیان و فلسطینیان لشکر به مقابل لشکر صف آرایی کردند. | ۲۱ 21 |
Israel and the Philistines put the battle in array, army against army.
| و داود اسبابی را که داشت به‌دست نگاهبان اسباب سپرد و به سوی لشکر دویده، آمد و سلامتی برادران خودرا بپرسید. | ۲۲ 22 |
David left his baggage in the hand of the keeper of the baggage, and ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers.
| و چون با ایشان گفتگو می‌کرد اینک آن مرد مبارز فلسطینی جتی که اسمش جلیات بود از لشکر فلسطینیان برآمده، مثل پیش سخن گفت و داود شنید. | ۲۳ 23 |
As he talked with them, look, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the ranks of the Philistines, and spoke according to the same words: and David heard them.
| و جمیع مردان اسرائیل چون آن مرد رادیدند، از حضورش فرار کرده، بسیار ترسیدند. | ۲۴ 24 |
All the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were terrified.
| و مردان اسرائیل گفتند: «آیا این مرد را که برمی آید، دیدید؟ یقین برای به ننگ‌آوردن اسرائیل برمی آید و هر‌که او را بکشد، پادشاه اورا از مال فراوان دولتمند سازد، و دختر خود را به او دهد، و خانه پدرش را در اسرائیل آزاد خواهدساخت.» | ۲۵ 25 |
The men of Israel said, "Have you seen this man who has come up? He has surely come up to defy Israel. It shall be, that the man who kills him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house exempt in Israel."
| و داود کسانی را که نزد او ایستاده بودند خطاب کرده، گفت: «به شخصی که این فلسطینی را بکشد و این ننگ را از اسرائیل برداردچه خواهد شد؟ زیرا که این فلسطینی نامختون کیست که لشکرهای خدای حی را به ننگ‌آورد؟» | ۲۶ 26 |
David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, "What shall be done to the man who kills this Philistine, and takes away this disgrace from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?"
| و قوم او را به همین سخنان خطاب کرده، گفتند: «به شخصی که او را بکشد، چنین خواهد شد.» | ۲۷ 27 |
The people answered him in this way, saying, "So shall it be done to the man who kills him."
| و چون با مردمان سخن می‌گفتند برادربزرگش الیاب شنید و خشم الیاب بر داودافروخته شده، گفت: «برای چه اینجا آمدی و آن گله قلیل را در بیابان نزد که گذاشتی؟ من تکبر وشرارت دل تو را می‌دانم زیرا برای دیدن جنگ آمده‌ای.» | ۲۸ 28 |
Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, "Why have you come down? With whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your insolence and the wickedness of your heart; for you have come down that you might see the battle."
| داود گفت: «الان چه کردم آیا سببی نیست؟» | ۲۹ 29 |
David said, "What have I now done? Is there not a cause?"
| پس از وی به طرف دیگری روگردانیده، به همین طور گفت و مردمان او را مثل پیشتر جواب دادند. | ۳۰ 30 |
He turned away from him toward another, and spoke like that again; and the people answered him again the same way.
| و چون سخنانی که داود گفت، مسموع شد، شاول را مخبر ساختند و او وی را طلبید. | ۳۱ 31 |
When the words were heard which David spoke, they rehearsed them before Saul; and he sent for him.
| و داود به شاول گفت: «دل کسی به‌سبب اونیفتد. بنده ات می‌رود و با این فلسطینی جنگ می‌کند.» | ۳۲ 32 |
David said to Saul, "Let not my lord's heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine."
| شاول به داود گفت: «تو نمی توانی به مقابل این فلسطینی بروی تا با وی جنگ نمایی زیرا که تو جوان هستی و او از جوانیش مردجنگی بوده است.» | ۳۳ 33 |
Saul said to David, "You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth."
| داود به شاول گفت: «بنده ات گله پدر خود را می‌چراند که شیر وخرسی آمده، بره‌ای از گله ربودند. | ۳۴ 34 |
David said to Saul, "Your servant was keeping his father's sheep; and when a lion or a bear came, and took a lamb out of the flock,
| و من آن راتعاقب نموده، کشتم و از دهانش رهانیدم و چون به طرف من بلند شد، ریش او را گرفته، او را زدم وکشتم. | ۳۵ 35 |
I went out after him, and struck him, and rescued it out of his mouth. When he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and struck him, and killed him.
| بنده ات هم شیر و هم خرس را کشت، واین فلسطینی نامختون مثل یکی از آنها خواهدبود، چونکه لشکرهای خدای حی را به تنگ آورده است. | ۳۶ 36 |
Your servant struck both the lion and the bear, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them. Should I not go and smite him, and remove this day a disgrace from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised one, since he has defied the armies of the living God?"
| و داود گفت: خداوند که مرا از چنگ شیر و از چنگ خرس رهانید، مرا از دست این فلسطینی خواهد رهانید.» و شاول به داودگفت: «برو و خداوند با تو باد.» | ۳۷ 37 |
David said, "The LORD who delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine." Saul said to David, "Go; and the LORD shall be with you."
| و شاول لباس خود را به داود پوشانید وخود برنجینی بر سرش نهاد و زره‌ای به اوپوشانید. | ۳۸ 38 |
Saul dressed David with his clothing. He put a helmet of bronze on his head, and he clad him with a coat of mail.
| و داود شمشیرش را بر لباس خودبست و می‌خواست که برود زیرا که آنها رانیازموده بود و داود به شاول گفت: «با اینهانمی توانم رفت چونکه نیازموده‌ام.» پس داود آنهارا از بر خود بیرون آورد. | ۳۹ 39 |
David strapped his sword on his clothing, and he tried to move; for he had not tested it. Then David said to Saul, "I can't go with these; for I have not tested them." So they took them off him.
| و چوب دستی خودرا به‌دست گرفته، پنج سنگ مالیده، از نهر سواکرد، و آنها را در کیسه شبانی که داشت، یعنی درانبان خود گذاشت و فلاخنش را به‌دست گرفته، به آن فلسطینی نزدیک شد. | ۴۰ 40 |
He took his staff in his hand, and chose for himself five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in the shepherd's bag which he had, even in his wallet. His sling was in his hand; and he drew near to the Philistine.
| و آن فلسطینی همی آمد تا به داود نزدیک شد و مردی که سپرش را برمی داشت پیش رویش می‌آمد. | ۴۱ 41 |
The Philistine came on and drew near to David; and the man who bore the shield went before him.
| و فلسطینی نظر افکنده، داودرا دید و او را حقیر شمرد زیرا جوانی خوشرو ونیکومنظر بود. | ۴۲ 42 |
When the Philistine looked and saw David, he despised him, for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and handsome in appearance.
| و فلسطینی به داود گفت: «آیامن سگ هستم که با چوب دستی نزد من می‌آیی؟» و فلسطینی داود را به خدایان خود لعنت کرد. | ۴۳ 43 |
The Philistine said to David, "Am I a dog, that you come to me with a stick?" The Philistine cursed David by his gods.
| و فلسطینی به داود گفت: «نزد من بیا تا گوشت تو را به مرغان هوا و درندگان صحرا بدهم.» | ۴۴ 44 |
The Philistine said to David, "Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky, and to the animals of the field."
| داود به فلسطینی گفت: «تو با شمشیر و نیزه و مزراق نزد من می‌آیی اما من به اسم یهوه صبایوت، خدای لشکرهای اسرائیل که او را به ننگ‌آورده‌ای نزد تو می‌آیم. | ۴۵ 45 |
Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a javelin: but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
| و خداوند امروزتو را به‌دست من تسلیم خواهد کرد و تو را زده، سر تو را از تنت جدا خواهم کرد، و لاشه های لشکر فلسطینیان را امروز به مرغان هوا و درندگان زمین خواهم داد تا تمامی زمین بدانند که دراسرائیل خدایی هست. | ۴۶ 46 |
Today, the LORD will deliver you into my hand; and I will strike you, and take your head from off you. And I will give your corpse and the corpses of the Philistine army this very day to the birds of the air, and to the wild animals of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,
| و تمامی این جماعت خواهند دانست که خداوند به شمشیر و نیزه خلاصی نمی دهد زیرا که جنگ از آن خداونداست و او شما را به‌دست ما خواهد داد.» | ۴۷ 47 |
and that all this assembly may know that the LORD doesn't save with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hand."
| و چون فلسطینی برخاسته، پیش آمد و به مقابله داود نزدیک شد، داود شتافته، به مقابله فلسطینی به سوی لشکر دوید. | ۴۸ 48 |
It happened, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
| و داود دست خود را به کیسه‌اش برد و سنگی از آن گرفته، ازفلاخن انداخت و به پیشانی فلسطینی زد، و سنگ به پیشانی او فرو رفت که بر روی خود بر زمین افتاد. | ۴۹ 49 |
David put his hand in his bag, took a stone, and slung it, and struck the Philistine in his forehead; and the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.
| پس داود بر فلسطینی با فلاخن و سنگ غالب آمده، فلسطینی را زد و کشت و در دست داود شمشیری نبود. | ۵۰ 50 |
So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine, and killed him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
| و داود دویده، بر آن فلسطینی‌ایستاد، و شمشیر او را گرفته، ازغلافش کشید و او را کشته، سرش را با آن از تنش جدا کرد، و چون فلسطینیان، مبارز خود را کشته دیدند، گریختند. | ۵۱ 51 |
Then David ran, and stood over the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of its sheath, and killed him, and cut off his head therewith. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.
| و مردان اسرائیل و یهودابرخاستند و نعره زده، فلسطینیان را تا جت و تادروازه های عقرون تعاقب نمودند و مجروحان فلسطینیان به راه شعریم تا به جت و عقرون افتادند. | ۵۲ 52 |
The men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued them as far as Gath, and to the gates of Ekron. The wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even to Gath, and to Ekron.
| و بنی‌اسرائیل از تعاقب نمودن فلسطینیان برگشتند و اردوی ایشان را غارت نمودند. | ۵۳ 53 |
The children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they plundered their camp.
| و داود سر فلسطینی را گرفته، به اورشلیم آورد اما اسلحه او را در خیمه خودگذاشت. | ۵۴ 54 |
David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armor in his tent.
| و چون شاول داود را دید که به مقابله فلسطینی بیرون می‌رود، به‌سردار لشکرش ابنیرگفت: «ای ابنیر، این جوان پسر کیست؟» ابنیر گفت: «ای پادشاه به‌جان تو قسم که نمی دانم.» | ۵۵ 55 |
When Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said to Abner, the captain of the army, "Abner, whose son is this youth?" Abner said, "As your soul lives, O king, I can't tell."
| پادشاه گفت: «بپرس که این جوان پسر کیست.» | ۵۶ 56 |
The king said, "Inquire whose son the young man is."
| و چون داود از کشتن فلسطینی برگشت، ابنیراو را گرفته، به حضور شاول آورد، و سر آن فلسطینی در دستش بود. | ۵۷ 57 |
As David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
| و شاول وی را گفت: «ای جوان تو پسر کیستی؟» داود گفت: «پسربنده ات، یسای بیت لحمی، هستم.» | ۵۸ 58 |
Saul said to him, "Whose son are you, you young man?" David answered, "I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite."
