| به غریبانی که پراکنده‌اند در پنطس وغلاطیه و قپدوقیه و آسیا و بطانیه؛ | ۱ 1 |
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the sojourners scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
| برگزیدگان برحسب علم سابق خدای پدر، به تقدیس روح برای اطاعت و پاشیدن خون عیسی مسیح. فیض و سلامتی بر شما افزون باد. | ۲ 2 |
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
| متبارک باد خدا و پدر خداوند ما عیسی مسیح که بحسب رحمت عظیم خود ما رابوساطت برخاستن عیسی مسیح از مردگان از نوتولید نمود برای امید زنده، | ۳ 3 |
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
| بجهت میراث بی‌فساد و بی‌آلایش و ناپژمرده که نگاه داشته شده است در آسمان برای شما؛ | ۴ 4 |
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
| که به قوت خدامحروس هستید به ایمان برای نجاتی که مهیاشده است تا در ایام آخر ظاهر شود. | ۵ 5 |
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
| و در آن وجد می‌نمایید، هرچند در حال، اندکی از راه ضرورت در تجربه های گوناگون محزون شده‌اید، | ۶ 6 |
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
| تا آزمایش ایمان شما که از طلای فانی باآزموده شدن در آتش، گرانبهاتر است، برای تسبیح و جلال و اکرام یافت شود در حین ظهورعیسی مسیح. | ۷ 7 |
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
| که او را اگرچه ندیده‌اید محبت می‌نمایید و الان اگرچه او را نمی بینید، لکن بر اوایمان آورده، وجد می‌نمایید با خرمی‌ای که نمی توان بیان کرد و پر از جلال است. | ۸ 8 |
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
| و انجام ایمان خود یعنی نجات جان خویش را می‌یابید. | ۹ 9 |
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
| که درباره این نجات، انبیایی که از فیضی که برای شما مقرر بود، اخبار نمودند، تفتیش وتفحص می‌کردند | ۱۰ 10 |
Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
| و دریافت می‌نمودند که کدام و چگونه زمان است که روح مسیح که درایشان بود از آن خبر می‌داد، چون از زحماتی که برای مسیح مقرر بود و جلالهایی که بعد از آنهاخواهد بود، شهادت می‌داد؛ | ۱۱ 11 |
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
| و بدیشان مکشوف شد که نه به خود بلکه به ما خدمت می‌کردند، در آن اموری که شما اکنون از آنها خبریافته‌اید از کسانی که به روح‌القدس که از آسمان فرستاده شده است، بشارت داده‌اند و فرشتگان نیز مشتاق هستند که در آنها نظر کنند. | ۱۲ 12 |
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
| لهذا کمر دلهای خود را ببندید و هشیارشده، امید کامل آن فیضی را که در مکاشفه عیسی مسیح به شما عطا خواهد شد، بدارید. | ۱۳ 13 |
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
| و چون ابنای اطاعت هستید، مشابه مشوید بدان شهواتی که در ایام جهالت می‌داشتید. | ۱۴ 14 |
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
| بلکه مثل آن قدوس که شما را خوانده است، خود شما نیز درهر سیرت، مقدس باشید. | ۱۵ 15 |
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
| زیرا مکتوب است: «مقدس باشید زیرا که من قدوسم.» | ۱۶ 16 |
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
| و چون او را پدر می‌خوانید که بدون ظاهربینی برحسب اعمال هرکس داوری می‌نماید، پس هنگام غربت خود را با ترس صرف نمایید. | ۱۷ 17 |
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
| زیرا می‌دانید که خریده شده‌اید از سیرت باطلی که از پدران خود یافته‌اید نه به چیزهای فانی مثل نقره و طلا، | ۱۸ 18 |
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
| بلکه به خون گرانبها چون خون بره بی‌عیب و بی‌داغ یعنی خون مسیح، | ۱۹ 19 |
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
| که پیش از بنیاد عالم معین شد، لکن درزمان آخر برای شما ظاهر گردید، | ۲۰ 20 |
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
| که بوساطت او شما بر آن خدایی که او را از مردگان برخیزانیدو او را جلال داد، ایمان آورده‌اید تا ایمان و امیدشما بر خدا باشد. | ۲۱ 21 |
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
| چون نفسهای خود را به اطاعت راستی طاهر ساخته‌اید تا محبت برادرانه بی‌ریا داشته باشید، پس یکدیگر را از دل بشدت محبت بنمایید. | ۲۲ 22 |
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
| از آنرو که تولد تازه یافتید نه از تخم فانی بلکه از غیرفانی یعنی به کلام خدا که زنده وتا ابدالاباد باقی است. (aiōn g165) | ۲۳ 23 |
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (aiōn g165)
| زیرا که «هر بشری مانندگیاه است و تمام جلال او چون گل گیاه. گیاه پژمرده شد و گلش ریخت. | ۲۴ 24 |
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
