اول پادشاهان 4

۱ 1 و سلیمان پادشاه بر تمامی اسرائیل پادشاه بود.

Now king Solomon was reigning over all of Israel.

۲ 2 و سردارانی که داشت اینانند: عزریاهو ابن صادوق کاهن،

And these were the leaders that he had: Azariah, the son of Zadok, the priest;

۳ 3 و الیحورف و اخیاپسران شیشه کاتبان و یهوشافاط بن اخیلود وقایع نگار،

Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, the scribes; Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud, the keeper of records;

۴ 4 و بنایاهو ابن یهویاداع، سردار لشکر، وصادوق و ابیاتار کاهنان،

Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, over the army; and Zadok, and Abiathar, priests;

۵ 5 و عزریاهو بن ناتان، سردار وکلاء و زابود بن ناتان کاهن و دوست خالص پادشاه،

Azariah, the son of Nathan, over those who were assisting the king; Zabud, the son of Nathan, the priest, the friend of the king;

۶ 6 و اخیشار ناظر خانه و ادونیرام بن عبدا، رئیس باجگیران.

and Ahishar, first ruler of the house; and Adoniram, the son of Abda, over the tribute.

۷ 7 و سلیمان دوازده وکیل بر تمامی اسرائیل داشت که به جهت خوراک پادشاه و خاندانش تدارک می‌دیدند، که هریک از ایشان یک ماه درسال تدارک می‌دیدند.

And Solomon had twelve commanders over all of Israel, who offered yearly provisions for the king and his house. For each was ministering the necessities, by each month of the year.

۸ 8 و نامهای ایشان این است: بنحور در کوهستان افرایم

And these are their names: Benhur, on mount Ephraim;

۹ 9 و بندقر درماقص و شعلبیم و بیت شمس و ایلون بیت حانان

Bendeker, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon, and in Beth-hanan;

۱۰ 10 و بنحسد در اربوت که سوکوه و تمامی زمین حافر به او تعلق داشت

Benhesed, in Arubboth: his was Socoh and the entire land of Hepher;

۱۱ 11 و بنئبینداب در تمامی نافت دور که تافت دختر سلیمان زن او بود

Benabinadab, to whom was all of Naphath-Dor, who had Taphath, the daughter of Solomon, as wife;

۱۲ 12 وبعنا ابن اخیلود در تعنک و مجدو و تمامی بیتشان که به‌جانب صرتان زیر یزرعیل است از بیتشان تا آبل محوله تا آن طرف یقمعام

Baana, the son of Ahilud, who was reigning in Taanach, and Megiddo, and all of Bethshean, which is beside Zarethan and below Jezreel, from Bethshean as far as Abelmeholah, opposite Jokmeam;

۱۳ 13 و بنجابر درراموت جلعاد که قرای یاعیر بن منسی که درجلعاد می‌باشد و بلوک ارجوب که در باشان است به او تعلق داشت، یعنی شصت شهر بزرگ حصاردار با پشت بندهای برنجین

Bengeber, in Ramoth Gilead, who had the town of Jair, the son of Manasseh, in Gilead; the same was first in the entire region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls that had bronze bars;

۱۴ 14 و اخیناداب بن عدو در محنایم

Ahinadab, the son of Iddo, who was first in Mahanaim;

۱۵ 15 و اخیمعص در نفتالی که اونیز باسمت، دختر سلیمان را به زنی گرفته بود

Ahimaaz, in Naphtali, and he also had Basemath, the daughter of Solomon, in marriage;

۱۶ 16 وبعنا ابن حوشای در اشیر و بعلوت

Baana, the son of Hushai, in Asher and in Bealoth;

۱۷ 17 و یهوشافاطبن فاروح در یساکار

Jehoshaphat, the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

۱۸ 18 و شمعی ابن ایلا دربنیامین

Shimei, the son of Ela, in Benjamin;

۱۹ 19 و جابر بن اوری در زمین جلعاد که ولایت سیحون پادشاه اموریان و عوج پادشاه باشان بود و او به تنهایی در آن زمین وکیل بود.

Geber, the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, in the land of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and of Og, king of Bashan, over all who were in that land.

۲۰ 20 و یهودا و اسرائیل مثل ریگ کناره دریابیشمار بودند و اکل و شرب نموده، شادی می‌کردند.

Judah and Israel were innumerable, like the sand of the sea in multitude: eating and drinking, and rejoicing.

۲۱ 21 و سلیمان بر تمامی ممالک، از نهر(فرات ) تا زمین فلسطینیان و تا سرحد مصرسلطنت می‌نمود، و هدایا آورده، سلیمان را درتمامی ایام عمرش خدمت می‌کردند.

Now Solomon had, in his dominion, all the kingdoms, from the river to the land of the Philistines, even to the border of Egypt. And they offered gifts to him, and they served him all the days of his life.

۲۲ 22 و آذوقه سلیمان برای هر روز سی کر آردنرم و شصت کر بلغور بود.

And the provisions of Solomon, for each day, were thirty cor of fine wheat flour, and sixty cor of meal,

۲۳ 23 و ده گاو پرواری وبیست گاو از چراگاه و صد گوسفند سوای غزالهاو آهوها و گوزنها و مرغهای فربه.

ten fattened oxen, and twenty oxen from the pastures, and one hundred rams, aside from the venison of stags, roe deer, and gazelles, and fattened poultry.

۲۴ 24 زیرا که برتمام ماورای نهر از تفسح تا غزه بر جمیع ملوک ماورای نهر حکمرانی می‌نمود و او را از هرجانب به همه اطرافش صلح بود.

For he had obtained the entire region which was beyond the river, from Tiphsah as far as Gaza, and all the kings of those regions. And he had peace on every side all around.

۲۵ 25 و یهودا واسرائیل، هرکس زیر مو و انجیر خود از دان تابئرشبع در تمامی ایام سلیمان ایمن می‌نشستند.

And so, Judah and Israel were living without any fear, each one under his own vine and under his own fig tree, from Dan as far as Beersheba, during all the days of Solomon.

۲۶ 26 و سلیمان را چهل هزار آخور اسب به جهت ارابه هایش و دوازده هزار سوار بود.

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of chariot horses, and twelve thousand riding horses.

۲۷ 27 و آن وکلا از برای خوراک سلیمان پادشاه و همه کسانی که بر سفره سلیمان پادشاه حاضر می‌بودند، هر یک در ماه خود تدارک می‌دیدند و نمی گذاشتند که به هیچ‌چیز احتیاج باشد.

And the above-stated commanders of the king nourished these. And they also offered the necessities for the table of king Solomon, with immense diligence, each in his time.

۲۸ 28 و جو و کاه به جهت اسبان و اسبان تازی به مکانی که هر کس بر‌حسب وظیفه‌اش مقرر بود، می‌آوردند.

Also, they brought barley and straw for the horses and beasts of burden, to the place where the king was, just as it was appointed to them.

۲۹ 29 و خدا به سلیمان حکمت و فطانت از حدزیاده و وسعت دل مثل ریگ کناره دریا عطافرمود.

And God gave wisdom to Solomon, and an exceedingly great prudence, and a spacious heart, like the sand which is on the shore of the sea.

۳۰ 30 و حکمت سلیمان از حکمت تمامی بنی مشرق و از حکمت جمیع مصریان زیاده بود.

And the wisdom of Solomon surpassed the wisdom of all the East, and of the Egyptians.

۳۱ 31 و از جمیع آدمیان از ایتان ازراحی و از پسران ماحول، یعنی حیمان و کلکول و دردع حکیم تربود و اسم او در میان تمامی امتهایی که به اطرافش بودند، شهرت یافت.

And he was wiser than all men: wiser than Ethan, the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And he was renowned in all the nations on every side.

۳۲ 32 و سه هزار مثل گفت وسرودهایش هزار و پنج بود.

Solomon also spoke three thousand parables. And his verses were one thousand and five.

۳۳ 33 و درباره درختان سخن گفت، از سرو آزاد لبنان تا زوفائی که بردیوارها می‌روید و درباره بهایم و مرغان وحشرات و ماهیان نیز سخن گفت.

And he discoursed about trees, from the cedar which is in Lebanon, to the hyssop which grows out from the wall. And he explained about beasts, and birds, and reptiles, and fish.

۳۴ 34 و از جمیع طوایف و از تمام پادشاهان زمین که آوازه حکمت او را شنیده بودند، می‌آمدند تا حکمت سلیمان را استماع نمایند.

And they came from all the peoples in order to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who were hearing about his wisdom.
