اول یوحنا 4

۱ 1 ای حبیبان، هر روح را قبول مکنید بلکه روح‌ها را بیازمایید که از خدا هستند یا نه. زیرا که انبیای کذبه بسیار به جهان بیرون رفته‌اند.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

۲ 2 به این، روح خدا را می‌شناسیم: هر روحی که به عیسی مسیح مجسم شده اقرار نماید از خداست،

By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

۳ 3 و هر روحی که عیسی مسیح مجسم شده راانکار کند، از خدا نیست. و این است روح دجال که شنیده‌اید که او می‌آید و الان هم در جهان است.

and every spirit who does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God; and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already.

۴ 4 ‌ای فرزندان، شما از خدا هستید و بر ایشان غلبه یافته‌اید زیرا او که در شماست، بزرگتر است از آنکه در جهان است.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.

۵ 5 ایشان از دنیا هستند ازاین جهت سخنان دنیوی می‌گویند و دنیا ایشان رامی شنود.

They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.

۶ 6 ما از خدا هستیم و هرکه خدا رامی شناسد ما را می‌شنود و آنکه از خدا نیست مارا نمی شنود. روح حق و روح ضلالت را از این تمییز می‌دهیم.

We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

۷ 7 ‌ای حبیبان، یکدیگر را محبت بنماییم زیراکه محبت از خداست و هرکه محبت می‌نماید ازخدا مولود شده است و خدا را می‌شناسد،

Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

۸ 8 وکسی‌که محبت نمی نماید، خدا را نمی شناسدزیرا خدا محبت است.

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

۹ 9 و محبت خدا به ما ظاهرشده است به اینکه خدا پسر یگانه خود را به جهان فرستاده است تا به وی زیست نماییم.

By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his only born Son into the world that we might live through him.

۱۰ 10 ومحبت در همین است، نه آنکه ما خدا را محبت نمودیم، بلکه اینکه او ما را محبت نمود و پسرخود را فرستاد تاکفاره گناهان ما شود.

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

۱۱ 11 ‌ای حبیبان، اگر خدا با ما چنین محبت نمود، ما نیزمی باید یکدیگر را محبت نماییم.

Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.

۱۲ 12 کسی هرگزخدا را ندید؛ اگر یکدیگر را محبت نماییم، خدادر ما ساکن است و محبت او در ما کامل شده است.

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.

۱۳ 13 از این می‌دانیم که در وی ساکنیم و او در مازیرا که از روح خود به ما داده است.

By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

۱۴ 14 و مادیده‌ایم و شهادت می‌دهیم که پدر پسر را فرستادتا نجات‌دهنده جهان بشود.

We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.

۱۵ 15 هرکه اقرار می‌کندکه عیسی پسر خداست، خدا در وی ساکن است واو در خدا.

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.

۱۶ 16 و ما دانسته و باور کرده‌ایم آن محبتی را که خدا با ما نموده است. خدا محبت است و هرکه در محبت ساکن است در خدا ساکن است و خدا در وی.

We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

۱۷ 17 محبت در همین با ما کامل شده است تا درروز جزا ما را دلاوری باشد، زیرا چنانکه اوهست، ما نیز در این جهان همچنین هستیم.

In this, love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so we are in this world.

۱۸ 18 درمحبت خوف نیست بلکه محبت کامل خوف رابیرون می‌اندازد؛ زیرا خوف عذاب دارد و کسی‌که خوف دارد، در محبت کامل نشده است.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

۱۹ 19 مااو را محبت می‌نماییم زیرا که او اول ما را محبت نمود.

We love him, because he first loved us.

۲۰ 20 اگر کسی گوید که خدا را محبت می‌نمایم و از برادر خود نفرت کند، دروغگوست، زیرا کسی‌که برادری را که دیده است محبت ننماید، چگونه ممکن است خدایی را که ندیده است محبت نماید؟

If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

۲۱ 21 و این حکم رااز وی یافته‌ایم که هرکه خدا را محبت می‌نماید، برادر خود را نیز محبت بنماید.

This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
