اول قرنتیان 2

۱ 1 و من‌ای برادران، چون به نزد شما آمدم، با فضیلت کلام یا حکمت نیامدم چون شمارا به‌سر خدا اعلام می‌نمودم.

And when I came to you, my brothers, I did not come with wise words of knowledge, putting before you the secret of God.

۲ 2 زیرا عزیمت نکردم که چیزی در میان شما دانسته باشم جزعیسی مسیح و او را مصلوب.

For I had made the decision to have knowledge of nothing among you but only of Jesus Christ on the cross.

۳ 3 و من در ضعف وترس و لرزش بسیار نزد شما شدم،

And I was with you without strength, in fear and in doubt.

۴ 4 و کلام ووعظ من به سخنان مقنع حکمت نبود، بلکه به برهان روح و قوت،

And in my preaching there were no honeyed words of wisdom, but I was dependent on the power of the Spirit to make it clear to you:

۵ 5 تا ایمان شما در حکمت انسان نباشد بلکه در قوت خدا.

So that your faith might be based not on man's wisdom but on the power of God.

۶ 6 لکن حکمتی بیان می‌کنیم نزد کاملین، اماحکمتی که از این عالم نیست و نه از روسای این عالم که زایل می‌گردند. (aiōn g165)

But still we have wisdom for those who are complete in knowledge, though not the wisdom of this world, and not of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing: (aiōn g165)

۷ 7 بلکه حکمت خدا را درسری بیان می‌کنیم، یعنی آن حکمت مخفی را که خدا پیش از دهرها برای جلال ما مقدر فرمود، (aiōn g165)

But we give the news of the secret wisdom of God, which he had kept in store before the world came into existence, for our glory; (aiōn g165)

۸ 8 که احدی از روسای این عالم آن را ندانست زیرا اگر می‌دانستند خداوند جلال را مصلوب نمی کردند. (aiōn g165)

Of which not one of the rulers of this world had knowledge: for if they had, they would not have put the Lord of glory on the cross: (aiōn g165)

۹ 9 بلکه چنانکه مکتوب است: «چیزهایی را که چشمی ندید و گوشی نشنید و به‌خاطر انسانی خطور نکرد، یعنی آنچه خدا برای دوستداران خود مهیا کرده است.»

But as it says in the holy Writings, Things which the eye saw not, and which had not come to the ears or into the heart of man, such things as God has made ready for those who have love for him.

۱۰ 10 اما خدا آنهارا به روح خود بر ما کشف نموده است، زیرا که روح همه‌چیز حتی عمقهای خدا را نیز تفحص می‌کند.

But God has given us the revelation of these things through his Spirit, for the Spirit makes search into all things, even the deep things of God.

۱۱ 11 زیرا کیست از مردمان که امور انسان رابداند جز روح انسان که در وی می‌باشد. همچنین نیز امور خدا را هیچ‌کس ندانسته است، جز روح خدا.

For who has knowledge of the things of a man but the spirit of the man which is in him? in the same way, no one has knowledge of the things of God but the Spirit of God.

۱۲ 12 لیکن ما روح جهان را نیافته‌ایم، بلکه آن روح که از خداست تا آنچه خدا به ما عطا فرموده است بدانیم.

But we have not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which comes from God, so that we may have knowledge of the things which are freely given to us by God.

۱۳ 13 که آنها را نیز بیان می‌کنیم نه به سخنان آموخته شده از حکمت انسان، بلکه به آنچه روح‌القدس می‌آموزد و روحانیها را باروحانیها جمع می‌نماییم.

And these are the things which we say, not in the language of man's wisdom, but in words given to us by the Spirit, judging the things of the spirit by the help of the Spirit.

۱۴ 14 اما انسان نفسانی‌امور روح خدا را نمی پذیرد زیرا که نزد او جهالت است و آنها را نمی تواند فهمید زیرا حکم آنها ازروح می‌شود.

For the natural man is not able to take in the things of the Spirit of God: for they seem foolish to him, and he is not able to have knowledge of them, because such knowledge comes only through the Spirit.

۱۵ 15 لکن شخص روحانی در همه‌چیز حکم می‌کند و کسی را در او حکم نیست.

But he who has the Spirit, though judging all things, is himself judged by no one.

۱۶ 16 «زیرا کیست که فکر خداوند را دانسته باشد تااو را تعلیم دهد؟» لکن ما فکر مسیح را داریم.

For who has knowledge of the mind of the Lord, so as to be his teacher? But we have the mind of Christ.
