| و بعد از اين واقع شد که داود فلسطينيان را شکست داده، مغلوب ساخت و جَتّ و قريه هايش را از دست فلسطينيان گرفت. | ۱ 1 |
After this it came about that David attacked the Philistines and defeated them. He took Gath and its villages out of the Philistines' control.
| و موآب را شکست داد و موآبيان بندگان داود شده، هدايا آوردند. | ۲ 2 |
Then he defeated Moab, and the Moabites became servants to David and paid him tribute.
| و داود هَدَرعَزَر پادشاه صُوبَه را در حَمات هنگامي که مي رفت تا سلطنت خود را نزد نهر فرات استوار سازد، شکست داد. | ۳ 3 |
David then defeated Hadadezer, king of Zobah at Hamath, as Hadadezer was traveling to establish his rule by the Euphrates River.
| و داود هزار ارابه و هفت هزار سوار و بيست هزار پياده از او گرفت، و داود تمامي اسبان ارابه را پي کرد، اما از آنها براي صد ارابه نگاه داشت. | ۴ 4 |
David captured from him a thousand chariots, seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen. David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved enough of them for a hundred chariots.
| و چون اَراميانِ دمشق به مدد هَدَرعَزَر پادشاه صُوبَه آمدند، داود بيست و دو هزار نفر از اَراميان را کشت. | ۵ 5 |
When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David killed twenty-two thousand Aramean men.
| و داود در اَرامِ دمشق (قراولان) گذاشت و اَراميان بندگان داود شده، هدايا آوردند. و خداوند داود را در هر جا که مي رفت نصرت مي داد. | ۶ 6 |
Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became servants to him and brought him tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
| و داود سپرهاي طلا را که بر خادمان هَدَرعَزَر بود گرفته، آنها را به اورشليم آورد. | ۷ 7 |
David took the golden shields that were on Hadadezer's servants and brought them to Jerusalem.
| و داود از طِبحَت و کُون شهرهاي هَدَرعَزَر برنج از حد زياده گرفت که از آن سُليمان درياچه و ستونها و ظروف برنجين ساخت. | ۸ 8 |
From Tebah and Kun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much bronze. It was with this bronze that Solomon later made the bronze basin called “The Sea,” the pillars, and the bronze equipment.
| و چون تُوعُو پادشاه حَمات شنيد که داود تمامي لشکر هَدَرعَزَر پادشاه صُوبَه را شکست داده است، | ۹ 9 |
When Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had defeated all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,
| پسر خود هَدُرام را نزد داود پادشاه فرستاد تا سلامتي او بپرسد و او را تَهنِيت گويد از آن جهت که با هَدَرعَزَر جنگ نموده او را شکست داده بود، زيرا هَدَرعَزَر با تُوعُو مقاتله مي نمود؛ و هر قِسم ظروف طلا و نقره و برنج (با خود آورد). | ۱۰ 10 |
and so Tou sent Hadoram his son to King David to greet him and to bless him. He did this because David had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him, and because Tou had often been at war with Hadadezer. Tou also sent David many different sorts of articles made of gold and silver and bronze.
| و داود پادشاه آنها را نيز براي خداوند وقف نمود، با نقره و طلايي که از جميع امّت ها يعني از اَدُوم و موآب و بني عَمُّون و فلسطينيان و عَمالَقَه آورده بود. | ۱۱ 11 |
King David set these objects apart to Yahweh, together with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations: Edom, Moab, the people of Ammon, the Philistines, and Amalek.
| و اَبِشاي ابن صَرُويه هجده هزار نفر از اَدُوميان را در وادي مِلح کشت. | ۱۲ 12 |
Abishai son of Zeruiah killed eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.
| و در اَدُوم قراولان قرار داد و جميع اَدُوميان بندگان داود شدند و خداوند داود را در هر جايي که مي رفت نصرت مي داد. | ۱۳ 13 |
He placed garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became David's servants. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
| و داود بر تمامي اسرائيل سلطنت نمود، انصاف و عدالت را بر تمامي قوم خود مجزا مي داشت. | ۱۴ 14 |
David reigned over all Israel, and he administered justice and righteousness to all his people.
| و يوآب بن صَرُويه سردار لشکر بود و يهوشافاط بن اَخِيلُود وقايع نگار. | ۱۵ 15 |
Joab son of Zeruiah was the commander of the army, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was recorder.
| و صادوق بن اَخِيطُوب و ابيمَلِک بن اَبياتار کاهن بودند و شوشا کاتب بود. | ۱۶ 16 |
Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelech son of Abiathar were priests, and Shavsha was scribe.
| و بنايا ابن يهُوياداع رئيس کَريتيان و فَلِيتيان و پسران داود نزد پادشاه مقدم بودند. | ۱۷ 17 |
Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Kerethites and Pelethites, and David's sons were the chief officials at the hand of the king.
