اول تواریخ 11

۱ 1 و تمامي اسرائيل نزد داود در حَبرُون جمع شده، گفتند: « اينک ما استخوانها و گوشت تو مي باشيم.

Then did all Israel gather themselves together to David, unto Hebron, saying, —Lo! thy bone and thy flesh, are we.

۲ 2 و قبل از اين نيز هنگامي که شاؤل پادشاه مي بود، تو اسرائيل را بيرون مي بردي و درون مي آوردي؛ و يهُوَه خدايت تو را گفت که: تو قوم من اسرائيل را شباني خواهي نمود و تو بر قوم من اسرائيل پيشوا خواهي شد.»

Moreover also, in time past even when Saul was king, thou, wast he that led out and brought in Israel, —and Yahweh thy God said unto thee, Thou, shalt shepherd my people Israel, Yea, thou, shalt be chief ruler, over my people Israel.

۳ 3 و جميع مشايخ اسرائيل نزد پادشاه به حَبرُون آمدند و داود با ايشان به حضور خداوند در حَبرُون عهد بست، و داود را بر حسب کلامي که خداوند به واسطه سموئيل گفته بود به پادشاهي اسرائيل مسح نمودند.

Thus came all the elders of Israel unto the king, to Hebron, and David solemnised to them a covenant in Hebron, before Yahweh, —and they anointed David to be king over Israel, according to the word of Yahweh, through Samuel.

۴ 4 و داود و تمامي اسرائيل به اورشليم که يبُوس باشد، آمدند و يبُوسيان در آن زمين ساکن بودند.

Then went David and all Israel to Jerusalem, the same, was Jebus, —where were the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land.

۵ 5 و اهل يبُوس به داود گفتند: « به اينجا داخل نخواهي شد.» اما داود قلعه صَهيون را که شهر داود باشد بگرفت.

And the inhabitants of Jebus said unto David, Thou shalt not come in hither, —But David captured the citadel of Zion, the same, is the city of David.

۶ 6 و داود گفت: « هر که يبُوسيان را اول مغلوب سازد، رئيس و سردار خواهد شد.» پس يوآب بن صَرُويه اول بر آمد و رئيس شد.

And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites, first, shall become a chief, and a ruler, —So then Joab son of Zeruiah, went up first, and became a chief.

۷ 7 و داود در آن قلعه ساکن شد، از آن جهت آن را شهر داود ناميدند.

And David dwelt in the citadel, —for this cause, did they call it, The City of David.

۸ 8 و شهر را به اطراف آن و گرداگرد مِلُّوه بنا کرد و يوآب باقي شهر را تعمير نمود.

And he built the city round about, from Millo even as far as the circuit, —but, Joab, suffered the remainder of the city to live.

۹ 9 و داود ترقي کرده، بزرگ مي شد و يهُوَه صبايوت با وي مي بود.

Thus did David wax greater and yet greater, —and, Yahweh of Hosts, was with him.

۱۰ 10 و اينانند رؤساي شجاعاني که داود داشت که با تمامي اسرائيل او را در سلطنتش تقويت دادند تا او را بر حسب کلامي که خداوند درباره اسرائيل گفته بود پادشاه سازد.

Now, these, are the chiefs of the heroes, that pertained to David, who held strongly with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make him king, —according to the word of Yahweh, concerning Israel.

۱۱ 11 و عدد شجاعاني که داود داشت اين است: يشُبعام بن حَکوُني که سردار شليشيم بود که بر سيصد نفر نيزه خود را حرکت داد و ايشان را در يک وقت کشت.

And, this, is the number of the heroes who pertained to David, —Jashobeam son of a Hachmonite, chief of the thirty, the same, brandished his spear over three hundred—slain at one time.

۱۲ 12 و بعد از او اَلِعازار بن دُودُوي اَخُوخي که يکي از آن سه شجاع بود.

And, after him, was Eleazar son of Dodai, the Ahohite, —he, was among the three heroes;

۱۳ 13 او با داود در فَسدَمِيم بود وقتي که فلسطينيان در آنجا براي جنگ جمع شده بودند، و قطعه زمين پُر از جو بود، و قوم از حضور فلسطينيان فرار مي کردند.

he, was with David in Pas-dammim, where, the Philistines, were gathered together to battle, and there was a field-plot full of barley, —and, the people, fled, from before the Philistines;

۱۴ 14 و ايشان در ميان آن قطعه زمين ايستاده، آن را محافظت نمودند، و فلسطينيان را شکست دادند و خداوند نصرت عظيمي به ايشان داد.

so they took their stand in the midst of the plot and rescued it, and smote the Philistines, —and Yahweh wrought a great victory.

۱۵ 15 و سه نفر از آن سي سردار به صخره نزد داود به مغاره عَدُلاّم فرود شدند و لشکر فلسطينيان در وادي رفائيم اردو زده بودند.

And three of the thirty chiefs went down upon the rock, unto David, into the cave of Adullam, —a host of Philistines, being encamped in the vale of Rephaim.

۱۶ 16 و داود در آن وقت در ملاذ خويش بود، و قراول فلسطينيان آن وقت در بيت لحم بودند.

Now, David, then was in the stronghold, —and, a garrison of Philistines, then was in Bethlehem.

۱۷ 17 و داود خواهش نموده، گفت: « کاش کسي مرا از آب چاهي که نزد دروازه بيت لحم است بنوشاند.»

And David longed, and said—Who will give me to drink of the water, out of the well of Bethlehem, that is within the gate?

۱۸ 18 پس آن سه مرد، لشکر فلسطينيان را از ميان شکافته، آب را از چاهي که نزد دروازه بيت لحم است کشيده، برداشتند و آن را نزد داود آوردند؛ اما داود نخواست که آن را بنوشد و آن را به جهت خداوند بريخت،

And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was within the gate, and bare it, and brought it in unto David, —yet would not David drink it, but poured it out unto Yahweh;

۱۹ 19 و گفت: « اي خداوند من حاشا از من که اين کار را بکنم! آيا خون اين مردان را بنوشم که جان خود را به خطر انداختند زيرا به خطر جان خود آن را آوردند؟» پس نخواست که آن را بنوشد؛ کاري که اين سه مرد شجاع کردند اين است.

and said—Far be it from me, of my God, that I should do this! The blood of these men, shall I drink, with their lives? For, with their lives, have they brought it! So he would not drink it. These things, did the three heroes.

۲۰ 20 و اَبِيشاي برادر يوآب سردار آن سه نفر بود و او نيز نيزه خود را بر سيصد نفر حرکت داده، ايشان را کشت و در ميان آن سه نفر اسم يافت.

And, Abishai brother of Joab—he, was the chief of three, he, having brandished his spear against three hundred—who were slain, —and so, he, had a name among three.

۲۱ 21 در ميان آن سه نفر از دو مکرّم تر بود؛ پس سردار ايشان شد، ليکن به سه نفر اول نرسيد.

Of the three in the second rank, was he honourable, therefore became he their captain, —though, unto the [first] three, did he not attain.

۲۲ 22 و بنايا ابن يهُوياداع پسر مردي شجاع قَبصيئيلي بود که کارهاي عظيم کرده بود، و پسر اَرِيئيل موآبي را کشت و در روز برف به حفره اي فرود شده، شيري را کشت.

Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, son of a man of valour, hero of many a deed, from Kabziel—he, smote the two [sons] of Ariel of Moab, he, also went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit, in time of snow;

۲۳ 23 و مرد مصري بلند قد را که قامت او پنج ذارع بود کشت، و آن مصري در دست خود نيزه اي مثل نورد نساجان داشت؛ اما او نزد وي با چوب دستي رفت و نيزه را از دست مصري ربوده، وي را با نيزه خودش کشت.

he, also smote an Egyptian, a man of [great] stature, five cubits, and, in the hand of the Egyptian, was a spear like a weaver’s beam, so he went down unto him with a staff, —and wrested the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slew him with his spear.

۲۴ 24 بنايا ابن يهُوياداع اين کارها را کرد و در ميان آن سه مرد شجاع اسم يافت.

These things, did Benaiah son of Jehoiada, so, he, had a name among three heroes.

۲۵ 25 اينک اواز آن سي نفر مکرّم تر شد، ليکن به آن سه نفر اول نرسيد و داود او را بر اهل مشورت خود برگماشت.

Among the thirty, lo! honourable, was he, but, unto the [first] three, did he not attain, —howbeit David set him over his council.

۲۶ 26 و نيز از شجاعان لشکر، عسائيل برادر يوآب و اَلحانان بن دُودُوي بيت لحمي،

Now, the heroes of the forces, were, —Asahel, brother of Joab, Elhanan, son of Dodo, of Bethlehem;

۲۷ 27 و شَمُّوتِ هَرُورِي وحالَصِ فَلُوني،

Shammoth, the Harorite, Helez the Paltite;

۲۸ 28 و عيرا ابن عِقّيشِ تَقُوعي و اَبيعَزَر عَناتُوتي،

Ira, son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite, Abiezer, the Anathothite;

۲۹ 29 و سِبکاي حُوشاتي و عيلاي اَخُوخي،

Sibbecai, the Hushathite, Ilai, the Ahohite;

۳۰ 30 و مَهراي نَطُوفاتِي و خالَد بن بَعَنَه نَطُوفاتِي،

Maharai, the Netophathite, Heled, son of Baanah, the Netophathite;

۳۱ 31 و اِتّاي ابن ريباي از جِبعه بني بنيامين و بناياي فَرعاتُونِي،

Ithai, son of Ribai, of Gibeah, of the sons of Benjamin, —Benaiah, the Pirathonite;

۳۲ 32 و حُوراي از واديهاي جاعَش و اَبيئيلِ عَرُباتِي،

Hurai, of the torrents of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite;

۳۳ 33 و عَزموتِ بَحرُومي و اَيحَباي شَعَلبُونِي.

Azmaveth, the Baharumite, Eliahba, the Shaalbonite;

۳۴ 34 و از بني هاشَمِ جِزُوني يوناتان بن شاجاي هَراري،

the sons of Hashem, the Gizonite, Jonathan, son of Shageh, the Hararite;

۳۵ 35 و اَخيام بن ساکارِ هَراري و اليفال بن اُور،

Ahiam, son of Sacar, the Hararite, Eliphal, son of Ur;

۳۶ 36 و حافَر مَکيراتي و اَخِياي فَلوني،

Hepher, the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite;

۳۷ 37 و حَصرُوي کَرمَلي و نَعراي ابن اَزباي.

Hezro, the Carmelite, Naarai, son of Ezbai;

۳۸ 38 و يوئيل برادر ناتان و مَبحار بن هَجرِي،

Joel, brother of Nathan, Mibhar son of Hagri;

۳۹ 39 و صالَقِ عَمُّوني ونحراي بِيرُوتي که سلاحدار يوآب بن صَرُويه بود.

Zelek, the Ammonite, —Naharai, the Berothite, the armour-bearer of Joab son of Zeruiah;

۴۰ 40 و عيراي يترِي و جارَبِ يترِي،

Ira, the Ithrite, Gareb, the Ithrite;

۴۱ 41 و اُورياي حِتِّي و زاباد بن اَحلاي،

Uriah, the Hittite, Zabad son of Ahlai;

۴۲ 42 و عَدينا ابن شيزاي رؤبيني که سردار رؤبينيان بود و سي نفر همراهش بودند.

Adina, son of Shiza, the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites and over the thirty;

۴۳ 43 و حانان بن مَعکَه و يوشافاط مِتنِي،

Hanan, son of Maacah, and Joshaphat, the Mithnite;

۴۴ 44 و عُزّياي عَشتَرُوتِي و شاماع و يعُوئيل پسران حُوتامِ عَرُوعِيرِي،

Uzzia, the Ashterathite, —Shama, and Jeiel, sons of Hotham, the Aroerite;

۴۵ 45 و يدِيعيئيل بن شِمرِي و برادرش يوخاي تِيصي،

Jediael, son of Shimri, and Joha, his brother, the Tizite;

۴۶ 46 و اَلِيئيل از مَحُويم و يربياي يو شُويا پسران اَلناعَم و يتمَه موآبي،

Eliel, the Mahavite, and Jeribai and Joshaviah, sons of Elnaam, —and Ithmah the Moabite;

۴۷ 47 و اَليئيل و عَوبيد و يعسِيئيلِ مَصُوباتي.

Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel, of Zobah.
