ਮੱਤੀ 25
1 ੧ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਰਾਜ ਦਸਾਂ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਲਾੜੇ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਕਲੀਆਂ।
Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins, who, having taken their lamps, went forth to the bridegroom's gathering.
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish,
foolish women, who, having taken their lamps, took no olive oil with them.
But the wise took olive oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
But at midnight a shout occurred, Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go ye forth for his gathering.
Then all those virgins were roused, and put their lamps in order.
8 ੮ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਰਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਝਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੇਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦਿਓ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਬੁਝਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
And the foolish said to the wise, Give us from your olive oil, because our lamps are going out.
9 ੯ ਪਰ ਸਮਝਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਨਾ, ਕਿਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਥੁੜ ਨਾ ਜਾਏ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੇਚਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਓ।
But the wise answered, saying, Perhaps there may not be enough for us and you. But go ye rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 ੧੦ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈਣ ਗਈਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਲਾੜਾ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came. And the prepared entered in with him for the wedding festivities, and the door was shut.
11 ੧੧ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਆਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ, ਹੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਹੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿਓ!
But afterward the other virgins also came, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
But having answered, he said, Truly I say to you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, because ye know not the day nor the hour in which the Son of man comes.
14 ੧੪ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ।
For, like a man going on a journey, he called his own bondmen, and delivered to them the things possessed by him.
15 ੧੫ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜ ਤੋੜੇ, ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ, ਹਰੇਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
And to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his personal ability, and straightaway he journeyed.
And having departed, the man who received the five talents worked with them, and made five other talents.
And likewise also the man of the two gained two others.
But having departed, the man who received the one dug in the ground, and hid his lord's silver.
Now after a long time the lord of those bondmen comes, and takes up accounting with them.
20 ੨੦ ਸੋ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਜ ਤੋੜੇ ਲਏ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੰਜ ਤੋੜੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੰਜ ਤੋੜੇ ਸੌਂਪੇ ਸਨ। ਵੇਖੋ ਮੈਂ ਪੰਜ ਤੋੜੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਕਮਾਏ।
And having come, the man who received the five talents brought five other talents, saying, Lord, thou delivered five talents to me, lo, I have gained five other talents besides them.
21 ੨੧ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨੌਕਰ ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼! ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋ।
And his lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman. Thou were faithful over a few things, I will appoint thee over many things. Enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 ੨੨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਤੋੜੇ ਲਏ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਤੋੜੇ ਸੌਂਪੇ ਸਨ। ਵੇਖੋ ਮੈਂ ਦੋ ਤੋੜੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਕਮਾਏ।
And also having come, the man who received the two talents said, Lord, thou delivered two talents to me, lo, I have gained two other talents besides them.
23 ੨੩ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨੌਕਰ ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼! ਤੂੰ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋ।
His lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman. Thou were faithful over a few things, I will appoint thee over many things. Enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 ੨੪ ਫੇਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਤੋੜਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਰੜੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਵੱਢਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਿੰਡਾਇਆ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।
And the man who received the one talent also having come, said, Lord, I knew thee that thou are a hard man, reaping where thou did not sow, and gathering from where thou did not scatter.
And after being afraid, having gone, I hid thy talent in the ground. Lo, thou have thine own.
26 ੨੬ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਓਏ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਅਤੇ ਆਲਸੀ ਨੌਕਰ! ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਵੱਢਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਿੰਡਾਇਆ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ?
But having answered, his lord said to him, Thou evil and lazy bondman, thou knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather from where I did not scatter.
27 ੨੭ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਰੁਪਏ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਾਲ ਵਿਆਜ ਸਮੇਤ ਲੈਂਦਾ।
Thou ought therefore to have placed my silver with the bankers, and having come I would have received back my own with interest.
Take ye therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
29 ੨੯ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੋਲ ਕੁਝ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
For to every man who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away from him.
And cast ye the unprofitable bondman into the outer darkness. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
But when the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the holy agents with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.
32 ੩੨ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
And all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them from each other, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
And he will truly place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.
34 ੩੪ ਤਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੋਣ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਲੋਕੋ ਆਓ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਰਾਜ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਹੋਵੋ।
Then the King will say to those at his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35 ੩੫ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤਿਹਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ,
For I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat. I was thirsty, and ye gave me to drink. I was a stranger, and ye took me in,
36 ੩੬ ਨੰਗਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਨਾਏ, ਮੈਂ ਰੋਗੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਈ, ਮੈਂ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ।
naked, and ye clothed me. I was feeble, and ye came to help me. I was in prison, and ye came to me.
37 ੩੭ ਤਦ ਧਰਮੀ ਲੋਕ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਦੋਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਆਇਆ ਜਾਂ ਤਿਹਾਇਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਲਾਇਆ?
Then the righteous will answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungering, and fed thee, or thirsting, and gave thee drink?
And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in, or naked, and clothed thee?
And when did we see thee weak, or in prison, and came to thee?
40 ੪੦ ਰਾਜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
And having answered, the King will say to them, Truly I say to you, inasmuch as ye did it to one of these my brothers, the least, ye did it to me.
41 ੪੧ ਤਦ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੋਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਕਹੇਗਾ, ਹੇ ਸਰਾਪੇ ਹੋਇਓ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਓ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। (aiōnios g166)
Then he will also say to those at the left hand, Depart from me, ye accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his agents. (aiōnios g166)
For I was hungry, and ye did not give me to eat, I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink,
43 ੪੩ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨਾ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ, ਨੰਗਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨਾ ਪਹਿਨਾਏ, ਰੋਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਦੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਨਾ ਲਈ।
I was a stranger, and ye did not take me in, naked, and ye did not clothe me, weak, and in prison, and ye did not come to help me.
44 ੪੪ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਕਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਜਾਂ ਤਿਹਾਇਆ ਜਾਂ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਨੰਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਰੋਗੀ ਜਾਂ ਕੈਦੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ?
Then they will also answer, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or weak, or in prison, and did not serve thee?
45 ੪੫ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
Then he will answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of these least, ye did it not to me.
