ਲੂਕਾ 22
Now the festival of Matzah ·Unleavened bread·, also called the Pesac ·Passover·, was approaching.
2 ੨ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰੀਏ? ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
The chief priests and the Torah-Teachers sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.
3 ੩ ਤਦ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਇਆ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸਕਰਿਯੋਤੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ।
Satan [Adversary] entered into Judas [Praised], who was also called Iscariot [Dagger-man], who was counted with the twelve.
4 ੪ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੜ੍ਹਵਾ ਦੇਵੇ।
He went away, and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.
They were glad, and agreed to give him money.
He consented, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.
The day of Matzah ·Unleavened bread· came (Nissan 14), on which the Pesac ·Passover· lamb must be sacrificed.
8 ੮ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਪਸਾਹ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਖਾਈਏ।
He sent Peter [Rock] and John [Yah is gracious], saying, “Go and prepare our Seder ·Order / Passover meal·, that we may eat.”
They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”
10 ੧੦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਵੇਖੋ, ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਘੜਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਜਿਸ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਵੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਜਾਇਓ।
He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.
11 ੧੧ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਠਹਿਰਣ ਦਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਪਸਾਹ ਖਾਵਾਂ?
Tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Pesac ·Passover· meal with my disciples?”’
He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”
They went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the Seder · Order / Passover meal·.
When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve apostles.
15 ੧੫ ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਭੋਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਪਸਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਵਾਂ।
He said to them, “I have earnestly epithumia ·coveted, desired· to eat this Seder · Order / Passover meal· with you before I suffer and die!
16 ੧੬ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
For I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in God’s Kingdom.”
He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this, and share it among yourselves,
18 ੧੮ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਖ਼ਰਸ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਪੀਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ।
for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”
19 ੧੯ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤੋੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਯਾਦਗੀਰੀ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
He took matzah ·unleavened bread·, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
20 ੨੦ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਹੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਵਹਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਵਾਂ ਨੇਮ ਹੈ।
Likewise, he took the (third) cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· in my blood, which is poured out for you.
But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.
22 ੨੨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਫੜ੍ਹਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ!
The Son of Man indeed goes, as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”
They began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.
There arose also a contention among them, which of them was considered to be greatest.
25 ੨੫ ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਸੋ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’
26 ੨੬ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ, ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਛੋਟੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਬਣੇ।
But not so with you. But one who is the greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.
27 ੨੭ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਖਾਣ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਭਲਾ, ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਖਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹੈ? ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਹਾਂ।
For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Is not it he who sits at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.
But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.
I confer on you a kingdom, even as 'Avi ·my Father· conferred on me,
30 ੩੦ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੋਗੇ।
that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel [God prevails].”
The Lord said, “Simeon [Hearing], Simeon [Hearing], behold, Satan [Adversary] asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat,
32 ੩੨ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜੇ ਕਰੀਂ।
but I prayed for you, that your trusting faith would not fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”
He said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”
34 ੩੪ ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਪਤਰਸ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਮੁਰਗਾ ਬਾਂਗ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰੀ ਮੁੱਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਆਖੇਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ।
He said, “I tell you, Peter [Rock], the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”
35 ੩੫ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਟੂਏ ਅਤੇ ਝੋਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ, ਤਦ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ? ਉਹ ਬੋਲੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ।”
He said to them, “When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”
36 ੩੬ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਬਟੂਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਸੋ ਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੋਲਾ ਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਸੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਸਤਰ ਵੇਚ ਕੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਵੇ।
Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
37 ੩੭ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ “ਉਹ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ” ਸੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was counted with transgressors.’ For that which concerns me has an end.”
They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”
He came out, and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.
When he was at the place, he said to them, “Pray that you don’t enter into temptation.”
He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,
42 ੪੨ ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਭਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹਟਾ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
saying, “Abba ·Father familiar, Dear Dad·, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.
44 ੪੪ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਹਾਂ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਤਨ-ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਸੀਨਾ ਲਹੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਦਾ ਸੀ।
Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples, and found them sleeping because of grief,
and said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
47 ੪੭ ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਵੇਖੋ, ਇੱਕ ਭੀੜ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਇਸਕਰਯੋਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੰਮੇ।
While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who was called Judas [Praised], one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Yeshua [Salvation] to phileo · show affectionate love, show approval, kiss· him.
But Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “Judas [Praised], do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”
A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
But Yeshua [Salvation] answered, “Let me at least do this”— and he touched his ear, and healed him.
52 ੫੨ ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਏ ਸਨ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਡਾਕੂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਂਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਫੜ੍ਹਨ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ ਹੋ?
Yeshua [Salvation] said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
53 ੫੩ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਰੋਜ਼ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾ ਪਾਏ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਹੈ।
When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
54 ੫੪ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਚੱਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਕੁਝ ਦੂਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ-ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰ ਆਇਆ।
They seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter [Rock] followed from a distance.
When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard, and had sat down together, Peter [Rock] sat among them.
A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him.”
He denied Yeshua [Salvation], saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”
58 ੫੮ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ!
After a little while someone else saw him, and said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter [Rock] answered, “Man, I am not!”
59 ੫੯ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਹੈ।
After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!”
60 ੬੦ ਪਰ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ! ਅਤੇ ਅਜੇ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੁਰਗੇ ਨੇ ਬਾਂਗ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
But Peter [Rock] said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
61 ੬੧ ਤਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਵੱਲ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ। ਤਦੋਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਯਾਦ ਆਈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਮੁਰਗੇ ਦੇ ਬਾਂਗ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ।
The Lord turned, and looked at Peter [Rock]. Then Peter [Rock] remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”
He went out, and wept bitterly.
The men who held Yeshua [Salvation] mocked him and beat him.
64 ੬੪ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਜੋ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਦੱਸ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ।
Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”
They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.
66 ੬੬ ਜਦ ਦਿਨ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਾਂ-ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲੇ,
As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people was gathered together, both chief priests and Torah-Teachers, and they led him away into their council, saying,
67 ੬੭ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ। ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ।
“If you are the Messiah [Anointed one], tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe,
and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.
From now on, the Son of Man will be sitting at the right hand of HaG'vurah [The Power (of God)].”
70 ੭੦ ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਭਲਾ, ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ? ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ।
They all said, “Are you then the Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·?” He said to them, “You say it, because Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)].”
They said, “Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!”
