ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਬ 15
1 ੧ ਕਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਆ ਕੇ, ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ।
Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, "Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."
2 ੨ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਝਗੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਠਹਿਰੀ ਜੋ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ।
Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the emissaries and elders about this question.
3 ੩ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਦੂਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਏ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੈਨੀਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਫਿਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
They, being sent on their way by the congregation, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the non-Jewish people. They caused great joy to all the brothers.
4 ੪ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ, ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
When they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the congregation and the emissaries and the elders, and they reported all things that God had done with them.
5 ੫ ਤਦ ਕਈਆਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੰਥ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the Law of Moses."
The emissaries and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
7 ੭ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ, ਜੋ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ।
When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News, and believe.
8 ੮ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਮਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਚਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
God, who knows the heart, testified about them by giving the Ruach ha-Kodesh, just like he did to us.
He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
10 ੧੦ ਹੁਣ ਕਿਉਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ, ਕਿ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧੌਣ ਤੇ ਜੂਲਾ ਰੱਖੋ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦੇ, ਨਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਸਕੇ?
Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the talmidim which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 ੧੧ ਪਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਪਾ ਗਏ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਪਾਵਾਂਗੇ।
But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Yeshua, just as they are."
12 ੧੨ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਭਾ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਕੰਮ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਖਾਏ ਗਏ।
And all the people kept quiet, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the nations through them.
After they were silent, Jacob answered, "Brothers, listen to me.
14 ੧੪ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇ
Shim'on has reported how God first visited the nations, to take out of them a people for his name.
This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written,
16 ੧੬ “ਇਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਖੋਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ,
'After these things I will return; and I will rebuild the tabernacle of David that has fallen, and I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it,
that the rest of humanity may seek after the Lord, and all the nations who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things
known from long ago.' (aiōn g165)
19 ੧੯ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਏ।
"Therefore my judgment is that we do not trouble those from among the non-Jewish people who turn to God,
20 ੨੦ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖ ਭੇਜੀਏ ਕਿ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਲੀਤਗੀਆਂ, ਹਰਾਮਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਲ਼ ਘੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿਣ।
but that we write to them that they abstain from things defiled by idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.
21 ੨੧ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਰ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਚਾਰਕ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਪੜ੍ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who proclaim him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath."
22 ੨੨ ਤਦ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੀਏ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਰਸਬਾਸ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ।
Then it seemed good to the emissaries and the elders, with the whole congregation, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judah called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers.
23 ੨੩ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਇਹ ਲਿਖ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ, ਸੀਰੀਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਲਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਨਾਮ
They wrote these things by their hand: "The emissaries, the elders, and the brothers, to the non-Jewish brothers who are in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.
24 ੨੪ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਡਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, to whom we gave no commandment;
25 ੨੫ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪੁਰਖ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜੀਏ,
it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
We have sent therefore Judah and Silas, who themselves will also tell you the same things by word of mouth.
28 ੨੮ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜੋ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਭਾਰ ਨਾ ਪਾਈਏ
For it seemed good to the Ruach ha-Kodesh, and to us, to lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things:
29 ੨੯ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਿਆਂ, ਲਹੂ ਅਤੇ ਗਲ਼ ਘੁੱਟਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਾਮਕਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਰਹੋ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality, from which if you keep yourselves, it will be well with you. Farewell."
So, when they were sent off, they came to Antioch, and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.
When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.
32 ੩੨ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਨਬੀ ਸਨ, ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤਕੜੇ ਕੀਤਾ।
Judah and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers with many words, and strengthened them.
After they had spent some time there, they were sent back with greetings from the brothers to those that had sent them forth.
However, Silas decided to remain there.
35 ੩੫ ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
And Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36 ੩੬ ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਉ ਹਰੇਕ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਫਿਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਈਏ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਹਾਲ ਹੈ।
After some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us return now and visit our brothers in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing."
Barnabas planned to take John, who was called Mark, with them also.
38 ੩੮ ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਚੱਲੀਏ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਮਫ਼ੁਲਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਅੱਡ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
But Paul did not think that it was a good idea to take with them someone who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and did not go with them to do the work.
39 ੩੯ ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਮਰਕੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away to Cyprus,
40 ੪੦ ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।
but Paul chose Silas, and went out, being commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.
He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the congregations.
