2 ਥੱਸਲੁਨੀਕੀਆ ਨੂੰ 3
1 ੧ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਫ਼ੈਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਪਾਵੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ।
In conclusion, friends, pray for us – pray that the Lord’s message may spread rapidly, and be received everywhere with honor, as it was among you;
2 ੨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਬੁਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਦੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਰਹੀਏ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ, ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ।
and that we may be preserved from wrong-headed and wicked people – for it is not everyone who believes in Christ.
But the Lord will not fail you. He will give you strength, and guard you from evil.
4 ੪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੋਗੇ।
Yes, and the confidence that our union with the Lord enables us to place in you leads us to believe that you are doing, and will do, what we direct you.
May the Lord bring you to the love of God, and to the patience of the Christ.
6 ੬ ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਹਰੇਕ ਭਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹੋ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪਾਈ ਪਰ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
We beg you, friends, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to avoid any follower who is living an ill-ordered life, which is not in agreement with the teaching that you received from us.
7 ੭ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੱਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਲਸ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ ਨਾ ਚੱਲੇ।
For you know well that you ought to follow our example. When we were with you, our life was not ill-ordered,
8 ੮ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਧਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਾ ਬਣੀਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਲੱਗਭਗ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it. Night and day, laboring and toiling, we used to work at our trades, so as not to be a burden on any of you.
9 ੯ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈਏ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਬਣ ਸਕੀਏ।
This was not because we had not a right to receive support, but our object was to give you a pattern for you to copy.
10 ੧੦ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਿਯਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ।”
Indeed, when we were with you, the rule we laid down was – ‘Whoever does not choose to work will not get to eat.’
11 ੧੧ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇੰਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਝਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
We hear that there are among you people who are living ill-ordered lives, and who, instead of attending to their own business, are mere busybodies.
12 ੧੨ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਇਆ ਕਰਨ ।
All such people we beg, and implore, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to attend quietly to their business, and earn their own living.
You, friends, must not grow weary of doing what is right.
14 ੧੪ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
If anyone disregards what we have said in this letter, take note of them and avoid their company, so that they may feel ashamed.
Yet do not think of them as an enemy, but caution them as you would a brother or sister.
16 ੧੬ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੇਵੇ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਰਹੇ।
May the Lord, from whom all peace comes, himself give you his peace at all times and in all ways. May he be with you all.
17 ੧੭ ਮੈਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ, ਇਹ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੱਤਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
