< Isaayyaas 3 >

1 Kunoo Gooftaan, Waaqayyoon Waan Hunda Dandaʼu Yerusaalemii fi Yihuudaa irraa kennaa fi gargaarsa isaa kan midhaaniitii fi kan bishaanii hunda irraa fudhata;
For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, does take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.
2 gootaa fi loltuu, abbaa murtiitii fi raajii, hooda himaa fi maanguddoo,
The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
3 ajajaa shantamaatii fi nama ulfina qabu, gorsituu, ogeessa hojii harkaatii fi ogeessa waa dawweessuu beeku irraa fudhata.
The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
4 “Ani dargaggoota qondaaltota isaanii nan godha; ijoolleen isaan bulchu.”
And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
5 Namoonni wal hacuucu; namni tokko nama kaanitti, ollaanis, ollaa isaatti kaʼa. Dargaggeessi jaarsatti, tuffatamaanis kabajamaatti kaʼa.
And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
6 Namni tokko mana abbaa isaatti, obboloota isaa keessaa tokko qabee, “Ati qoloo qabda; kanaafuu bulchaa nuuf taʼi; tuullaa waan diigamee kanattis itti gaafatama fudhu!” jedha.
When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, You have clothing, be you our ruler, and let this ruin be under your hand:
7 Inni garuu gaafas, “Ani furmaata taʼuu hin dandaʼu. Ani nyaata yookaan uffata tokko illee mana kootii hin qabu; bulchaa sabaa na hin taasisinaa” jedhee iyya.
In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
8 Yerusaalem gatantaraa jirti; Yihuudaan immoo kufteerti; dubbii isaaniitii fi gochi isaanii Waaqayyoon mormuudhaan ulfina argamuu isaa xureessa.
For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9 Haalli fuula isaanii dhugaa isaanitti baʼa; isaan akkuma Sodoom cubbuu isaanii ifa baasu; isaan cubbuu isaanii hin dhokfatan. Isaaniif wayyoo! Isaan balaa guddaa ofitti fidaniiru.
The show of their countenance does witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
10 Akka wanni kun isaaniif tolu qajeeltotatti himaa; isaan buʼaa hojii isaanii nyaatu.
Say all of you to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Hamaadhaaf wayyoo! Badiisni isatti ni dhufa! Inni gatii harka isaa ni argata.
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12 Dargaggoonni saba koo cunqursu; dubartoonni isaan bulchu. Yaa saba ko, qajeelchitoonni keessan karaa irraa isin jalʼisaniiru; isaan irraa isin gorsaniiru.
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead you cause you to go astray, and destroy the way of your paths.
13 Waaqayyo murtii kennuuf taaʼeera; saba isaattis muruuf kaʼeera.
The LORD stands up to plead, and stands to judge the people.
14 Waaqayyo akkana jedhee maanguddootaa fi hooggantoota saba isaatti mura: “Kan iddoo dhaabaa wayinii kootii balleesse isin; wanni hiyyeeyyii irraa saamame mana keessan jira.
The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for all of you have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
15 Isin saba koo caccabsuun keessan, fuula hiyyeeyyiis butuchuun keessan maal gochuu keessan?” jedha Gooftaan, Waaqayyoon Waan Hunda Dandaʼu.
What mean all of you that all of you beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? says the Lord GOD of hosts.
16 Waaqayyo akkana jedha; “Dubartoonni Xiyoon of tuulu; isaan morma dheereffatanii yaaʼu; ijaanis ni waammatu; faaya miilla isaanii kilillisaa cillaanfachaa deemu.
Moreover the LORD says, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and moving enticingly as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
17 Kanaafuu Gooftaan mataa intallan Xiyoonitti qaaqee ni fida; Waaqayyo gubbee mataa isaanii moleessa.”
Therefore the LORD will strike with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
18 Gaafas Gooftaan faaya miidhagina isaanii: albuu, marata mataa, faaya mormaa kan baatii fakkaatu,
In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,
19 amartii gurraa, bitawoo, haguuggii fuulaa,
The chains, and the bracelets, and the covering for the lower part of the face,
20 Marata mataa, faaya miillaa, sabbata, bilqaaxxii shittoo, kudhaama,
The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,
21 qubeelaa chaappaa, amartii funyaanii
The rings, and nose jewels,
22 wandaboo filatamaa, koofiyyaa, qoloo, korojoo harkaa,
The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,
23 of ilaaleewwan, wayyaa quncee talbaa irraa hojjetame, gonfoo dubartootaatii fi uffata mormaa isaan irraa mulqa.
The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.
24 Qooda urgaa, ajaa; qooda sabbataa, funyoo; qooda mataa sirriitti dhaʼamee, moluu; qooda uffata miidhagaa, wayyaa gaddaa; qooda miidhaginaa fokkisuutu dhufa.
And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.
25 Namoonni keessan goraadeedhaan, loltoonni keessanis lola keessatti dhumu.
Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in the war.
26 Karri Xiyoon faarsitee boossi; isheen ontee lafa teessi.
And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.
