ଲୂକ 15
1 ଆଉ, କରଗ୍ରାହୀ ଓ ପାପୀ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସୁଥିଲେ।
Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming close to him to hear him.
2 ସେଥିରେ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ଓ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ବଚସା କରୁ କରୁ କହିଲେ, ଏ ଲୋକଟା ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଭୋଜନ କରେ!
The Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them.”
3 ତହିଁରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ କହିଲେ,
He told them this parable:
4 “ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏପରି କେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଅଛି ଯେ, ତାହାର ଯଦି ଶହେ ମେଣ୍ଢା ଥାଏ, ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ହଜିଯାଏ, ତେବେ ସେ ଅନେଶତକୁ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଛାଡ଼ି ସେହି ହଜିଥିବା ମେଣ୍ଢାଟି ନ ପାଇବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାକୁ ଖୋଜେ ନାହିଁ?
“Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?
5 ପୁଣି, ପାଇଲେ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଆନନ୍ଦରେ କାନ୍ଧେଇ ଘରକୁ ଘେନି ଆସେ,
When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 ପୁଣି, ଆପଣା ବନ୍ଧୁ ଓ ପ୍ରତିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ଏକତ୍ର କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହେ, ‘ମୋʼ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କର, ଯେଣୁ ମୋହର ହଜିଯାଇଥିବା ମେଣ୍ଢାଟି ପାଇଲି।’
When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbours, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’
7 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ମନ-ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିବାର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି ଅନେଶତ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା, ଯେ ମନ-ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରେ, ଏପରି ଜଣେ ପାପୀର ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ଅଧିକ ଆନନ୍ଦ ହେବ।”
I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
8 “ଅଥବା ଏପରି କେଉଁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଅଛି ଯେ, ତାହାର ଯଦି ଦଶଟି ରୌପ୍ୟ-ମୁଦ୍ରା ଥାଏ, ଆଉ ସେଥିରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ହଜିଯାଏ, ତେବେ ସେ ଦୀପ ଜାଳି ଘର ଝାଡ଼ି ତାହା ନ ପାଇବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯତ୍ନରେ ଖୋଜେ ନାହିଁ?
“Or what woman, if she had ten drachma coins, if she lost one drachma coin, wouldn’t light a lamp, sweep the house, and seek diligently until she found it?
9 ପୁଣି, ତାହା ପାଇଲେ ସେ ଆପଣା ବନ୍ଧୁ ଓ ପ୍ରତିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ଏକାଠି କରି କହେ, ‘ମୋ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କର, ଯେଣୁ ଯେଉଁ ରୌପ୍ୟ-ମୁଦ୍ରାଟି ହଜିଯାଇଥିଲା, ତାହା ପାଇଲି।’
When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbours, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost!’
10 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଯେ ମନ-ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରେ, ଏପରି ଜଣେ ପାପୀ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ ହୁଏ।”
Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.”
11 ସେ ଆହୁରି କହିଲେ, “ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କର ଦୁଇଟି ପୁଅ ଥିଲେ।
He said, “A certain man had two sons.
12 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ସାନ ପୁଅ ବାପାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ବାପା, ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିର ଯେଉଁ ଭାଗ ମୋ ଭାଗରେ ପଡ଼ୁଅଛି, ତାହା ମୋତେ ଦେଇଦିଅ। ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଆପଣାର ସବୁ କିଛି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭାଗ କରିଦେଇ ଦେଲେ।
The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of your property.’ So he divided his livelihood between them.
13 ଅଳ୍ପ ଦିନ ପରେ ସାନ ପୁଅ ସବୁ ଏକାଠି କରି ଦୂର ଦେଶକୁ ଚାଲିଗଲା, ଆଉ ସେଠାରେ ମନ୍ଦ ବିଷୟରେ ଆପଣାର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଉଡ଼ାଇଦେଲା।
Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and travelled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living.
14 କିନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଅପବ୍ୟୟ କଲା ପରେ ସେ ଦେଶରେ ମହାଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ପଡ଼ିବାରୁ ତାହାର ଅଭାବ ହେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା।
When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need.
15 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଯାଇ ସେହି ଦେଶର ଜଣେ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନେଲା, ଆଉ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଘୁଷୁରି ଚରାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣା ପଡ଼ିଆକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ;
He went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs.
16 ପୁଣି, ଘୁଷୁରିମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଶିମ ଖାଉଥିଲେ, ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ପେଟ ପୁରାଇବାକୁ ବାଞ୍ଛା କରୁଥିଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ କେହି ତାହାକୁ କିଛି ଦେଉ ନ ଥିଲେ।
He wanted to fill his belly with the pods that the pigs ate, but no one gave him any.
17 ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଚେତନା ପାଇ କହିଲା, ମୋହର ବାପାଙ୍କ କେତେ ମୂଲିଆଙ୍କର ଖାଦ୍ୟ ବଳିପଡ଼ୁଅଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଏଠାରେ ଭୋକରେ ମରୁଅଛି।
But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough to spare, and I’m dying with hunger!
18 ମୁଁ ଉଠି ମୋହର ବାପାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯିବି ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିବି, ବାପା, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ମୁଁ ପାପ କଲି;
I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight.
19 ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୁଅ ବୋଲି ଡକାଯିବାର ମୁଁ ଆଉ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ; ମୋତେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଜଣେ ମୂଲିଆ ପରି ରଖ।
I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants.”’
20 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଉଠି ଆପଣା ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଦୂରରେ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ତାହାର ପିତା ତାହାକୁ ଦେଖି ଦୟାରେ ବିଗଳିତ ହେଲେ ଓ ଦୌଡ଼ିଯାଇ ତାହାକୁ ଆଲିଙ୍ଗନ କରି ଅତି ସ୍ନେହରେ ଚୁମ୍ବନ ଦେଲେ।
“He arose and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran, fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 ପୁତ୍ର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ବାପା, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ମୁଁ ପାପ କଲି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୁଅ ବୋଲି ଡକାଯିବାର ମୁଁ ଆଉ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।
The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତା ଆପଣା ଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ସବୁଠାରୁ ଭଲ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଶୀଘ୍ର ନେଇ ଆସି ଏହାକୁ ପିନ୍ଧାଅ, ଏହାର ହାତରେ ମୁଦି ଓ ପାଦରେ ପାଦୁକା ଦିଅ,
“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.
23 ପୁଣି, ହୃଷ୍ଟ ପୃଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁଟି ଆଣି ମାର; ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରି ଉତ୍ସବ କରୁ,
Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let’s eat and celebrate;
24 କାରଣ ମୋହର ଏହି ପୁଅ ମୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା, ପୁନର୍ବାର ବଞ୍ଚିଅଛି; ହଜିଯାଇଥିଲା, ଆଉ ମିଳିଅଛି। ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଉତ୍ସବ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
for this, my son, was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found.’ Then they began to celebrate.
25 ସେତେବେଳେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବଡ଼ ପୁଅ କ୍ଷେତରେ ଥିଲା। ସେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆସି ଘର ପାଖରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ ବାଦ୍ୟ ଓ ନୃତ୍ୟର ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣି,
“Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.
26 ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣକୁ ପାଖକୁ ଡାକି ସେହିସବୁ କଅଣ ବୋଲି ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା।
He called one of the servants to him and asked what was going on.
27 ସେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭାଇ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାପା ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଶରୀରରେ ପାଇବାରୁ ହୃଷ୍ଟ ପୃଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁଟିଏ ମାରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
He said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and healthy.’
28 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ରାଗିଯାଇ ଭିତରକୁ ଗଲା ନାହିଁ; କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାର ପିତା ବାହାରକୁ ଆସି ତାହାକୁ ବହୁତ ବୁଝାଇବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and begged him.
29 ମାତ୍ର ସେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଦେଖ, ଏତେ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ପରି ଖଟି ଆସିଅଛି, ପୁଣି, କେବେହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅମାନ୍ୟ କରି ନାହିଁ, ତଥାପି ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଉତ୍ସବ କରିବାକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ କେବେହେଲେ ଛେଳି ଛୁଆଟିଏ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଦେଇ ନାହଁ;
But he answered his father, ‘Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.
30 କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ପୁଅ ବେଶ୍ୟାମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସବୁ ଧନ ଖାଇ ଉଡ଼ାଇ ଦେଇଅଛି, ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେ ଆସିଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ପାଇଁ ହୃଷ୍ଟ ପୃଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁଟି ମାରିଲ।
But when this your son came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’
31 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ପୁଅରେ, ତୁ ତ ସବୁବେଳେ ମୋ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛୁ, ଆଉ ଯାହାସବୁ ମୋହର, ସେହିସବୁ ତୋହର;
“He said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.
32 କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଯେ ତୋହର ଭାଇଟି ମୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲା, ପୁନର୍ବାର ବଞ୍ଚିଲା, ହଜିଯାଇଥିଲା, ଆଉ ମିଳିଲା, ସେହି ହେତୁରୁ ଉତ୍ସବ ଓ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ଥିଲା।”
But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.’”
