Apostlenes-gjerninge 13
1 I Antiokia, hjå kyrkjelyden der, var det nokre profetar og lærarar: Barnabas og Simeon, som vart kalla Niger, og Lukius frå Kyrene og Manaen, fosterbror til fylkeskongen Herodes, og Saulus.
There were now (some *k*) in Antioch in what is [the] church prophets and teachers, both Barnabas and Simeon who is being called Niger and Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen also — with Herod the tetrarch brought up — and Saul.
2 Medan dei heldt gudstenesta og fasta, sagde den Heilage Ande: «Tak ut Barnabas og Saulus åt meg til den gjerning som eg hev kalla deim til!»
As were ministering now they to the Lord and fasting said the Spirit Holy; do set apart then to Me (both *k*) Barnabas and (*k*) Saul for the work to which I have called them.
3 Då fasta dei og bad og lagde henderne på deim og let deim fara.
Then having fasted and having prayed and having laid the hands on them they sent [them] off.
4 Då dei no soleis var utsende av den Heilage Ande, for dei ned til Seleukia og siglde derifrå yver til Kypern.
(They themselves *N(k)O*) indeed therefore having been sent forth by of the Holy (the *k*) Spirit went down to (*k*) Seleucia, From there (then *NK(o)*) they sailed to (*k*) Cyprus.
5 Og då dei var komne til Salamis, forkynte dei Guds ord i synagogorne til jødarne, og dei hadde ogso Johannes med til medhjelp.
And having come into Salamis they were proclaiming the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews; They had now also John [as] a helper.
6 Då dei so hadde fare gjenom øyi radt til Pafus, fann dei ein trollmann, ein falsk profet, ein jøde, som hadde namnet Barjesus.
Having passed through now (all *NO*) the island as far as Paphos they found (a man — *NO*) a certain magician a false prophet Jewish — whose name (of Bar-Jesus, *N(k)O*)
7 Han var hjå landshovdingen Sergius Paulus, ein klok mann. Denne kalla til seg Barnabas og Saulus og ynskte å høyra Guds ord.
who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, man an intelligent. He having called to [him] Barnabas and Saul desired to hear the word of God.
8 Men Elymas, trollmannen - for so er namnet hans utlagt - stod deim imot og søkte å venda landshovdingen av frå trui.
Was opposing however to them Elymas the magician — thus for means the name of him — seeking to turn away the proconsul from the faith.
9 Men Saulus, som og vert kalla Paulus, vart fyllt med den Heilage Ande og såg kvast på honom og sagde:
Saul then also [called] Paul having been filled [the] Spirit Holy (and *k*) having looked intently upon him
10 «Å du som er full av all svik og all vondskap, du djevels barn, du fiende til all rettferd! vil du ikkje halda upp med å forvenda Herrens beine vegar?
said; O full of all deceit and all craft, son of [the] devil, enemy of all righteousness, not will you cease perverting the ways (of the *no*) Lord upright?
11 Og no, sjå Herrens hand er yver deg, og du skal verta blind og ikkje sjå soli ei tid.» Og straks fall skodda og myrker på honom, og han trivla ikring og leita etter nokon som kunde leida honom ved handi.
And now behold [the] hand (*k*) of the Lord [is] upon you, and you will be blind not seeing the sun during a season. Immediately (then descended *N(k)O*) upon him mist and darkness, and going about he was seeking one to lead by hand.
12 Då tok landshovdingen ved trui, då han såg det som hadde hendt, og han var full av undring yver Herrens læra.
Then having seen the proconsul that having happened he believed being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.
13 Paulus og fylgjet hans siglde so frå Pafus og kom til Perge i Pamfylia. Men Johannes skilde seg frå deim og vende um til Jerusalem.
Having sailed then from Paphos [with] those around [him] (*k*) Paul came to Perga of Pamphylia. John however having departed from them he returned to Jerusalem.
14 Men dei for lenger frå Perge og kom til Antiokia i Pisidia og gjekk inn i synagoga på kviledagen og sette seg.
They themselves now having passed through from Perga came to Antioch (Pisidia, *N(k)O*) and (having gone *NK(o)*) into the synagogue on the day of the Sabbaths they sat down.
15 Etter lesnaden av lovi og profetarne sende forstandarane for synagoga bod til deim og sagde: «Brør, dersom de hev noko ord til påminning for folket, so tala!»
After then the reading of the law and of the Prophets sent the rulers of the synagogue to them saying; Men brothers, if any there is among you a word of exhortation toward the people, do speak.
16 So stod Paulus upp og slo til ljod med handi og sagde: «Israelitiske menner og de som ottast Gud, høyr!
Having risen up then Paul and having made a sign with the hand he said; Men Israelites and you who [are] fearing God, do listen.
17 Dette folks, Israels, Gud valde ut federne våre, og han upphøgde folket i utlendingskapen i Egyptarland og førde deim ut derifrå med høglyft arm.
The God of the people this of Israel chose the fathers of us and the people exalted in the sojourn in [the] land (of Egypt *N(k)O*) and with arm uplifted brought them out of it;
18 Og umkring fyrti år bar han deim på faderarm i øydemarki,
and of about forty years for a period He endured the ways of them in the wilderness,
19 og han øydde ut sju folkeslag i Kana’ans-landet og skifte landet deira ut til arv åt deim, i fire hundrad og femti år på lag.
and having destroyed nations seven in [the] land of Canaan He gave as an inheritance (to them *k*) the land of them —
20 So gav han deim domarar alt til profeten Samuel.
during years four hundred and fifty; And after these things He gave [them] judges until Samuel the prophet;
21 Sidan kravde dei ein konge, og Gud gav deim Saul, Kis’ son, ein mann av Benjamins ætt, i fyrti år.
Then Then they asked for a king, and gave to them God Saul son of Kish, a man of [the] tribe of Benjamin, years forty;
22 Og då han hadde sett honom av, uppreiste han deim David til konge, han som han vitna um og sagde; «Eg fann David, Isais son, ein mann etter mitt hjarta; han skal gjera all min vilje.»
And having removed him He raised up David to them as king, to whom also He said having carried witness: I have found David the [son of] Jesse a man according to the heart of Mine, who will do all the will of Mine.
23 Av hans ætt førde han etter lovnaden fram ein frelsar for Israel, Jesus,
Of this [man] the God of the seed according to promise (has brought *N(K)O*) to Israel ([the] Savior *NK(O)*) Jesus —
24 etter at Johannes fyreåt for hans koma hadde forkynt umvendingsdåp for heile Israels folk.
When was proclaiming John before [the] face of the coming of Him a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
25 Men då Johannes fullførde sitt livnadslaup, sagde han: «Den de held meg for å vera, er eg ikkje; men sjå, det kjem ein etter meg, som eg ikkje er verdig til å løysa skorne av føterne på.»
While then was fulfilling (*k*) John the course he was saying; (whom *N(k)O*) me myself do you suppose to be? Not am [he] I myself; but behold He comes after me myself of whom not I am worthy the sandal of the feet to untie.
26 Brør, søner av Abrahams ætt, og dei millom dykk som ottast Gud! til dykk vart ordet um denne frelsa sendt.
Men brothers, sons of [the] family of Abraham and you who [are] among you fearing God, (to us *N(K)O*) the message of the salvation this (was sent out. *N(k)O*)
27 For dei som bur i Jerusalem og deira rådsherrar kjende honom ikkje, og med di dei dømde honom, uppfyllte dei og profetordi, som vert fyrelesne kvar kviledag.
Those for dwelling in Jerusalem and the rulers of them Him not having known and the voices of the prophets that on every Sabbath are being read, having condemned [Him] they fulfilled [them];
28 Og endå dei ikkje fann nokor daudskyld, bad dei Pilatus at han måtte verta ihelslegen.
And no cause of death having found they begged Pilate to execute him.
29 Men då dei hadde fullført alt det som stend skrive um honom, tok dei honom ned av treet og lagde honom i ei grav.
When then they had finished (all *N(k)O*) the [things] about Him written, having taken [Him] down from the tree they put [Him] in a tomb.
30 Men Gud vekte honom upp frå dei daude;
But God raised Him out from [the] dead,
31 og han synte seg i fleire dagar for deim som hadde gjenge med honom frå Galilæa upp til Jerusalem, dei som no er hans vitne for folket.
who appeared for days many to those having come up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who (now *NO*) are witnesses of Him to the people.
32 Og me forkynner dykk evangeliet um den lovnaden som vart federne gjeven, at Gud hev uppfyllt denne for oss, deira born, då han reiste upp Jesus,
And we ourselves to you evangelise the to the fathers promise having been made,
33 so som det og stend skrive i den andre salmen: «Du er min son; eg hev født deg i dag.»
that this God has fulfilled to the children of them (to us *NK(O)*) having raised up Jesus, as also in the psalm it has been written in the (second *NK(O)*) Son of Mine are You yourself, I myself today have begotten you.’
34 Men at han reiste honom upp frå dei daude, so han aldri meir skal venda tilbake til undergang, det hev han sagt so: «Eg vil gjeva dykk dei heilage lovnader til David, dei trufaste.»
for then He raised Him out from [the] dead no more being about to return to decay, thus He has spoken that I will give to you the holy [blessings] of David the sure [blessings].’
35 Difor segjer han og ein annan stad: «Du skal ikkje lata din heilage sjå undergang.»
(therefore *N(k)O*) also in another He says: Not You will allow the Holy One of you to see decay.’
36 For David sovna av, etter han i si livetid hadde tent Guds rådgjerd, og vart samla med sine feder og såg undergang.
David indeed for in his own generation having served the of God purpose he fell asleep and he was added to the fathers of him and saw decay;
37 Men han som Gud vekte upp, han såg ikkje undergang.
The [One] however God raised up not did see decay.
38 Det vere då kunnigt for dykk, brør, at i honom vert forlating for synderne forkynt dykk;
Known therefore it should be to you, men brothers, that through this One to you forgiveness of sins is proclaimed;
39 og frå alt det som de ikkje kann verta rettferdiggjorde frå ved Mose lov, vert kvar den som trur rettferdiggjord i honom.
And from all things from which not you were able in (the *k*) law of Moses to be justified, in Him everyone who is believing is justified.
40 Sjå difor til at det som er sagt hjå profetarne, ikkje skal koma yver dykk:
do take heed therefore lest may come about (upon you *K*) that said in the prophets:
41 «Sjå, de vanvyrdarar, og undra dykk og vert til inkjes! for eit verk gjer eg i dykkar dagar, eit verk som de ikkje vil tru, um nokon fortel dykk det.»»
Behold! you scoffers, and do wonder and do perish for a work am working I myself in the days of you, a work (that *N(k)O*) certainly not you may believe even if one shall declare it to you.’
42 Men då dei gjekk ut, bad dei um at desse ordi måtte verta tala til deim den næste kviledagen.
When are departing then (they *no*) (from the *k*) (synagogue *K*) (of the *k*) (Jews *K*) were begging (the gentiles *K*) on the next Sabbath to be spoken to them declarations these.
43 Og då synagogetenesta var enda, fylgde det med Paulus og Barnabas mange av jødarne og av dei jødetruande som dyrka Gud; og dei tala til deim og talde deim til å halda fast ved Guds nåde.
When was releasing then the synagogue followed many of the Jews and of the worshipping converts after Paul and after Barnabas, who speaking to them were persuading them (to continue *N(k)O*) in the grace of God.
44 Den næste kviledagen kom mest heile byen saman og vilde høyra Guds ord.
On the (now *NK(o)*) coming Sabbath almost all the city was gathered together to hear the word (of the Lord. *N(K)O*)
45 Men då jødarne såg folkehoparne, vart dei fulle av brennhug, og dei sagde imot det som vart sagt av Paulus, ja, sagde imot og spotta.
Having seen however the Jews the crowds they were filled with jealousy and were contradicting the [things] by (*k*) Paul (spoken *N(k)O*) (denying and *K*) denigrating [him].
46 Då tok Paulus og Barnabas til ords og sagde beint ut: «Det var naudsynlegt at Guds ord vart tala fyrst til dykk; men sidan de støyter det burt og ikkje dømer dykk sjølve verdige til det ævelege liv, sjå, so vender me oss til heidningarne. (aiōnios g166)
Having spoken boldly (also *N(k)O*) Paul and Barnabas said; To you it was necessary first to be spoken the word of God; but since (now *ko*) you thrust away it and not worthy you judge yourselves of eternal life, behold we are turning to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
47 For so hev Herren bode oss: «Eg hev sett deg til ljos for heidningar, at du skal vera til frelsa alt til ytste enden av jordi.»»
Thus for has commanded us the Lord: I have set you for a light of [the] Gentiles to be you for salvation until [the] uttermost part of the earth.’
48 Då heidningarne høyrde det, gledde dei seg og prisa Herrens ord, og dei tok ved trui, so mange som var etla til ævelegt liv. (aiōnios g166)
Hearing [it] then the Gentiles (were rejoicing *NK(o)*) and they were glorifying the word of the (Lord *NK(O)*) and they believed as many as were appointed to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
49 Og Herrens ord breidde seg ut yver heile landet.
Was carried then the word of the Lord through all the region.
50 Men jødarne øste upp dei fornæme kvinnor som dyrka Gud, og dei fyrste menner i byen, og dei fekk i gang ei forfylgjing mot Paulus og Barnabas, og dei jaga deim ut frå sine landemerke.
The but Jews incited the worshipping women (and *k*) [those] prominent and the principals of the city and they stirred up a persecution against Paul and (*k*) Barnabas and expelled them from the district of them.
51 Dei riste dusti av føterne sine mot deim og kom til Ikonium.
But having shaken off the dust of the feet (of them *k*) against them they went to Iconium.
52 Men læresveinarne vart fyllte med gleda og den Heilage Ande.
(and *N(k)O*) the disciples were filled with joy and [the] Spirit Holy.
