1 Av David. Til dig, Herre, roper jeg. Min klippe, vær ikke døv imot mig, forat jeg ikke, om du tier til mig, skal bli lik dem som farer ned i graven!
By David. To you, LORD, I call. My rock, don’t be deaf to me, lest, if you are silent to me, I would become like those who go down into the pit.
2 Hør mine inderlige bønners røst, når jeg roper til dig, når jeg opløfter mine hender til ditt hellige kor!
Hear the voice of my petitions, when I cry to you, when I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.
3 Riv mig ikke bort med de ugudelige og med dem som gjør urett, som taler fred med sin næste, enda der er ondt i deres hjerte!
Don’t draw me away with the wicked, with the workers of iniquity who speak peace with their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts.
4 Gi dem efter deres gjerning og efter deres onde adferd! Gi dem efter deres henders gjerning, gjengjeld dem hvad de har gjort!
Give them according to their work, and according to the wickedness of their doings. Give them according to the operation of their hands. Bring back on them what they deserve.
5 For de akter ikke på hvad Herren gjør, eller på hans henders gjerning; han skal nedbryte dem og ikke opbygge dem.
Because they don’t respect the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he will break them down and not build them up.
6 Lovet være Herren, fordi han har hørt mine inderlige bønners røst!
Blessed be the LORD, because he has heard the voice of my petitions.
7 Herren er min styrke og mitt skjold; til ham har mitt hjerte satt sin lit, og jeg blir hjulpet; derfor fryder mitt hjerte sig, og jeg vil prise ham med min sang.
The LORD is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him.
8 Herren er deres styrke, og han er et frelsens vern for sin salvede.
The LORD is their strength. He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.
9 Frels ditt folk og velsign din arv, og fø dem og bær dem til evig tid!
Save your people, and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd also, and bear them up forever.
