2 Samuel 1
1 Da Saul var død, og David var vendt tilbake efterat han hadde slått amalekittene, blev David ennu to dager i Siklag.
And it was after [the] death of Saul and David he returned from defeating Amalek and he remained David in Ziklag days two.
2 Da hendte det den tredje dag at det kom en mann fra Sauls leir med sønderrevne klær og jord på sitt hode; og da han kom til David, kastet han sig ned på jorden for ham.
And it was - on the day third and there! a man [was] coming from the camp from with Saul and garments his [were] torn and earth [was] on head his and it was when came he to David and he fell [the] ground towards and he bowed down.
3 David spurte ham: Hvor kommer du fra? Han svarte: Jeg har flyktet fra Israels leir.
And he said to him David where? from this are you coming and he said to him from [the] camp of Israel I have escaped.
4 Da sa David til ham: Hvorledes er det gått? Fortell mig det! Han svarte: Folket flyktet fra striden; mange av folket falt og døde, og Saul og hans sønn Jonatan er også død.
And he said to him David what? was it the word tell please to me and he said that it has fled the people from the battle and also [surely] a multitude has fallen of the people and they have died and also Saul and Jonathan son his they have died.
5 Da sa David til den gutt som kom med denne tidende til ham: Hvorledes vet du at Saul og hans sønn Jonatan er død?
And he said David to the young man who had told to him how? do you know that he has died Saul and Jonathan son his.
6 Gutten, han som var kommet med tidenden til ham, svarte: Ved en hendelse kom jeg op på Gilboafjellet, og der fikk jeg se Saul som stod og støttet sig på sitt spyd, mens vognene og hestfolket satte hårdt inn på ham.
And he said the young man - who had told to him [surely] by chance I found myself on [the] mountain of Gilboa and there! Saul [was] leaning on spear his and there! the chariotry and [the] owners of the horses they overtook him.
7 Han vendte sig om, og da han så mig, ropte han på mig. Jeg svarte: Her er jeg.
And he turned behind him and he saw me and he called to me and I said here [am] I.
8 Så spurte han: Hvem er du? Jeg svarte: Jeg er en amalekitt.
And he said to me who? [are] you (and I said *QK) to him [am] an Amalekite I.
9 Da sa han til mig: Kom hit til mig og drep mig! For krampen har grepet mig, men jeg har ennu min fulle livskraft.
And he said to me stand please over me and kill me for it has seized me dizziness for all still life my [is] in me.
10 Så gikk jeg bort til ham og drepte ham, for jeg visste at han ikke vilde overleve sitt fall; og jeg tok kongesmykket som han hadde på hodet, og ringen han bar på armen, og tok dem med hit til min herre.
And I stood over him and I killed him for I knew that not he will live after had fallen he and I took the crown - which [was] on head his and an armlet which [was] on arm his and I brought them to lord my here.
11 Da tok David og sønderrev sine klær, og det samme gjorde alle de menn som var hos ham.
And he took hold David (on garments his *QK) and he tore them and also all the men who [were] with him.
12 Og de klaget og gråt og fastet helt til aftenen over Saul og hans sønn Jonatan og over Herrens folk og over Israels hus, fordi de var falt for sverdet.
And they mourned and they wept and they fasted until the evening on Saul and on Jonathan son his and on [the] people of Yahweh and on [the] house of Israel for they had fallen by the sword.
13 Så spurte David gutten som var kommet med tidenden til ham: Hvor er du fra? Han svarte: Jeg er sønn av en amalekitt som er flyttet inn her.
And he said David to the young man who had told to him where? from this [are] you and he said [am the] son of a man a sojourner an Amalekite I.
14 Da sa David til ham: Hvorledes kunde du driste dig til å utrekke din hånd og ta livet av Herrens salvede?
And he said to him David how? not were you afraid to stretch out hand your to destroy [the] [one] anointed of Yahweh.
15 Og David kalte på en av sine menn og sa: Kom hit og hugg ham ned! Og han slo ham ihjel.
And he called David to one from the young men and he said draw near fall on him and he struck down him and he died.
16 Men David sa til ham: Ditt blod komme over ditt hode; for din egen munn vidnet mot dig da du sa: Jeg har drept Herrens salvede.
And he said to him David (blood your *QK) [be] on head your for own mouth your it has testified against you saying I I killed [the] [one] anointed of Yahweh.
17 Og David kvad denne klagesang over Saul og hans sønn Jonatan,
And he lamented David the lamentation this on Saul and on Jonathan son his.
18 og han bød at Judas barn skulde lære den; "buen" heter den, og den er opskrevet i Den rettskafnes bok:
And he said to teach [the] descendants of Judah Bow here! [it is] written on [the] book of the upright [one].
19 Din pryd, Israel, ligger ihjelslått på dine hauger; o, at heltene skulde falle!
The beauty O Israel on high places your [is] slain how! they have fallen [the] mighty [ones].
20 Forkynn det ikke i Gat, meld det ikke på gatene i Askalon, at ikke filistrenes døtre skal glede sig, de uomskårnes døtre juble!
May not you tell in Gath may not you bear news in [the] streets of Ashkelon lest they should rejoice [the] daughters of [the] Philistines lest they should exult [the] daughters of the uncircumcised.
21 I Gilboa-fjell! Ikke falle det dugg eller regn på eder, ei heller være der marker som bærer offergaver! For der blev heltes skjold plettet med blod, Sauls skjold, ei salvet med olje.
O mountains in Gilboa may not dew and may not rain [be] on you and fields of contributions for there it was defiled [the] shield of [the] mighty [ones] [the] shield of Saul not [was] anointed with oil.
22 Fra falnes blod, fra heltes kjøtt vek Jonatans bue aldri tilbake, aldri kom Sauls sverd umettet hjem.
From [the] blood of [those] slain from [the] fat of [the] mighty [ones] [the] bow of Jonathan not it turned back backwards and [the] sword of Saul not it returned empty.
23 Saul og Jonatan, elskelige og milde i livet, blev heller ikke skilt i døden; hurtigere var de enn ørner, sterkere enn løver.
Saul and Jonathan lovable and pleasant in lives their and in death their not they were separated more than eagles they were swift more than lions they were strong.
24 I Israels døtre! Gråt over Saul som klædde eder yndig i purpur, som satte smykker av gull på eders klædebon!
O daughters of Israel because of Saul weep who clothed you scarlet with luxuries who brought up ornament[s] of gold on clothing your.
25 O, at heltene skulde falle i striden! Jonatan ligger ihjelslått på dine hauger!
How! they have fallen [the] mighty [ones] in [the] middle of the battle Jonathan on high places your [is] slain.
26 Hjertelig bedrøvet er jeg over dig, min bror Jonatan! Du var mig inderlig kjær; din kjærlighet var mig dyrebarere enn kvinners kjærlighet.
It is distress to me on you O brother my Jonathan you were pleasant to me very it was wonderful love your to me more than [the] love of women.
27 O, at heltene skulde falle, og krigens redskaper omkomme!
How! they have fallen [the] mighty [ones] and they have perished [the] weapons of war.
