1 Krønikebok 27
1 Dette er Israels barn efter deres tall, med deres familiehoder og høvedsmennene over tusen og over hundre og deres tilsynsmenn, som tjente kongen i alt som vedkom hær-delingene; disse hær-delinger tiltrådte og fratrådte skiftevis hver måned gjennem hele året, og hver deling var på fire og tyve tusen mann.
And [these are] the children of Israel after their number; [to wit, ] the chiefs of the family divisions and the captains of the thousands and the hundreds, and their officers that served the king in every matter of the divisions, that came in and went out month by month, throughout all the months of the year, every division being twenty and four thousand.
2 Over den første hær-deling, som gjorde tjeneste i den første måned, stod Jasobam, Sabdiels sønn, og til hans deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann;
Over the first division for the first month was Jashob'am the son of Zabdiel; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
3 han var en av Peres' efterkommere, den øverste av alle hærførerne som gjorde tjeneste i den første måned.
[He] of the children of Perez was the chief of all the captains of the armies for the first month.
4 Over den hær-deling som gjorde tjeneste i den annen måned, stod ahohitten Dodai; ved hans deling var fyrsten Miklot, og til hans deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
And over the division of the second month was Dodai the Achochite, and of his division was Mikloth also the ruler; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
5 Den tredje hærfører, som gjorde tjeneste i den tredje måned, var Benaja, presten Jojadas sønn, som var den øverste, og til hans deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann;
The third captain of the army for the third month was Benayahu the son of Jehoyada', the priest, the chief; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
6 denne Benaja var en helt blandt de tretti og stod over de tretti, og ved hans hær-deling var hans sønn Ammisabad.
This Benayahu was the mighty among the thirty, and [set] over the thirty'; and of his division was 'Ammizabad his son.
7 Den fjerde, som gjorde tjeneste i den fjerde måned, var Asael, Joabs bror, og efter ham hans sønn Sebadja, og til hans hær-deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The fourth for the fourth month was 'Assahel the brother of Joab, with Zebadyah his son after him; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
8 Den femte, som gjorde tjeneste i den femte måned, var høvdingen Samhut, jisrahitten, og til hans hærdeling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The fifth for the fifth month was the captain Shamhuth the Yizrachite; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
9 Den sjette, som gjorde tjeneste i den sjette måned, var Ira, Ikkes' sønn, fra Tekoa, og til hans hærdeling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The sixth for the sixth month was 'Ira the son of 'Ikkesh the Theko'ite; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
10 Den syvende, som gjorde tjeneste i den syvende måned, var pelonitten Heles av Efra'ims barn, og til hans hær-deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The seventh for the seventh month was Chelez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
11 Den åttende, som gjorde tjeneste i den åttende måned, var husatitten Sibbekai av serahittenes ætt, og til hans hær-deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The eighth for the eighth month was Sibbechai the Chushathite, of the Zarchites: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
12 Den niende, som gjorde tjeneste i den niende måned, var Abieser fra Anatot, av Benjamins stamme, og til hans hær-deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The ninth for the ninth month was Abi'ezer the 'Anthothite, of Benjamin; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
13 Den tiende, som gjorde tjeneste i den tiende måned, var Maharai fra Netofa, av serahittenes ætt, og til hans hær-deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The tenth for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zarchites; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
14 Den ellevte, som gjorde tjeneste i den ellevte måned, var Benaja fra Piraton, av Efra'ims barn, og til hans hær-deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The eleventh for the eleventh month was Benayah the Pir'athonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
15 Den tolvte, som gjorde tjeneste i den tolvte måned, var Heldai fra Netofa, av Otrliels ætt, og til hans hær-deling hørte fire og tyve tusen mann.
The twelfth for the twelfth month was Cheldai the Netophathite, of 'Othniel; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
16 Israels stammefyrster var: for rubenittene Elieser, Sikris sønn, for simeonittene Sefatja, Ma'akas sønn,
Moreover over the tribes of Israel: Of the Reubenites was ruler Eli'ezer the son of Zichri; of the Simeonites, Shephatyahu the son of Ma'achah;
17 for Levi Hasabja, Kemuels sønn, for Arons ætt Sadok,
Of the Levites, Chashabyah the son of Kamuel; of [the sons of] Aaron, Zadok;
18 for Juda Elihu, en av Davids brødre, for Issakar Omri, Mikaels sønn,
Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brothers of David; of Issachar, 'Omri the son of Michael;
19 for Sebulon Jismaja, Obadjas sønn, for Naftali Jerimot, Asriels sønn,
Of Zebulun, Yishma'yahu the son of 'Obadyahu; of Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of 'Azriel;
20 for Efra'ims barn Hosea, Asasjas sønn, for den halve Manasse stamme Joel, Pedajas sønn,
Of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea, the son of 'Azazyahu; of the half tribe of Menasseh, Joel the son of Pedayahu;
21 for den halve Manasse stamme i Gilead Jiddo, Sakarjas sønn, for Benjamin Ja'asiel, Abners sønn,
Of the half tribe of Menasseh in Gil'ad, Yiddo the son of Zecharyahu; of Benjamin, 'Ja'assiel the son of Abner;
22 for Dan Asar'el, Jerohams sønn. Dette var høvdingene for Israels stammer.
Of Dan, 'Azarel the son of Jerocham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.
23 Men David tok ikke tall på dem som var under tyve år; for Herren hadde sagt at han vilde gjøre Israel tallrikt som himmelens stjerner.
But David took not their number from twenty years old and under; because the Lord had said he would multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.
24 Joab, Serujas sønn, begynte å telle, men fullendte det ikke, og Guds vrede kom over Israel for dette, og tallet blev ikke opført i manntallet i kong Davids krønike.
Joab the son of Zeruyah began to number [them]; but he finished not, and there came wrath because of it against Israel: and the number was not entered in the account of the chronicles of king David.
25 Opsynet over kongens skatter hadde Asmavet, Adiels sønn, over forrådene på marken, i byene og landsbyene og i festningstårnene Jonatan, Ussias sønn,
And over the king's treasures was 'Azmaveth the son of 'Adiel; and over the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jehonathan the son of 'Uzziyahu.
26 over dem som arbeidet på marken og dyrket jorden, Esri, Kelubs sønn,
And over those that did the work of the field, in the tillage of the ground, was 'Ezri the son of Kelub.

And over the vineyards was Shim'i the Ramathite; and over what was in the vineyards, as regardeth the supplies of wine, was Zabdi the Shiphmite.
28 over oljetrærne og morbærtrærne i lavlandet Ba'al-Hanan fra Geder, over oljeforrådene Joas,
And over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowlands was Ba'al-chanan the Gederite: and over the supplies of oil was Jo'ash.
29 over storfeet som beitet i Saron, Sitrai fra Saron, over storfeet i dalene Safat, Adlais sønn,
And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite; and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of 'Adlai.
30 over kamelene ismaelitten Obil, over aseninnene Jehdeja fra Meronot
And over the camels was Obil the Ishma'elite; and over the she-asses was Yechdeyahu the Meronothite.
31 og over småfeet hagaritten Jasi; alle disse var opsynsmenn over kong Davids eiendeler.
And over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagerene. All these were the rulers of the property which belonged to king David.
32 Davids farbror Jonatan var hans rådgiver; han var en forstandig og skriftlærd mann. Jehiel, Hakmonis sønn, var hos kongens sønner.
Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor, being a man of understanding and acquainted with law; and Jeshiel the son of Chachmoni was with the king's sons;
33 Akitofel var kongens rådgiver, og arkitten Husai var kongens venn.
And Achithophel was the king's counsellor; and Chushai the Arkite was the king's friend;
34 Efter Akitofel kom Jojada, Benajas sønn, og Ebjatar. Joab var kongens hærfører.
And after Achithophel [came] Jehoyada' the son of Benayahu and Ebyathar; and the captain of the king's army was Joab.
