1 Hinu, yikavyai muyukiswi pamonga na Kilisitu, mlondayi gegavi kunani kweavili Kilisitu, atamili upandi wa kulyelela wa Chapanga.
If therefore ye have been raised with the Christ, seek the things [which are] above, where the Christ is, sitting at [the] right hand of God:
2 Mholalela mambu ga kunani, na lepi mambu ga pamulima apa.
have your mind on the things [that are] above, not on the things [that are] on the earth;
3 Muni nyenye mfwili na wumi winu ufiyiki pamonga na Kilisitu mugati ya Chapanga.
for ye have died, and your life is hid with the Christ in God.
4 Wumi winu wa chakaka ndi Kilisitu, na lukumbi lwaki peihumila na nyenye mewa yati mwivya pamonga nayu muukulu.
When the Christ is manifested who [is] our life, then shall ye also be manifested with him in glory.
5 Hinu, mkoma mnogo uhakau wa pamulima zemuvelekiwi nazu ngati, ukemi, uhakau, mnogo uhakau uhutulu ngati kufugamila vimong'omong'o.
Put to death therefore your members which [are] upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, vile passions, evil lust, and unbridled desire, which is idolatry.
6 Ndava ya mambu genago ligoga laki Chapanga likuvabwelela voha vangamyidakila mwene.
On account of which things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
7 Lukumbi lumonga nyenye mweatamili kulandana na mnogo wa mambu ago gahakau gemvelikwi nagu.
In which ye also once walked when ye lived in these things.
8 Nambu hinu yikuvagana kuleka mambu ago goha, ligoga na mnogo na uhakau, kuvevesa amala maligu gakotoka kuhuma mu milomo yinu.
But now, put off, ye also, all [these] things, wrath, anger, malice, blasphemy, vile language out of your mouth.
9 Mkoto kujovelana udese, muni nyenye mmali kuwula mnogo uhakau wemuvelikwi nawu pamonga na matendu gaki goha,
Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his deeds,
10 muwala wumi wa mupya, wiwiyendelela wihengewa upya na Chapanga muwumba. Muni avakitayi kummanya bwina na kuvya ngati mwene.
and having put on the new, renewed into full knowledge according to [the] image of him that has created him;
11 Chenichi ndi, kawaka kangi kulekengana Myawudi na anga Myawudi, mweadumwili jandu na mwangadumula jandu, mweasomili na mweangasoma mvanda na mwealekekisiwi. Nambu Kilisitu ndi vyoha, avi muvyoha.
wherein there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman; but Christ [is] everything, and in all.
12 Nyenye ndi vandu vaki Chapanga, mwene avaganili na kuvahagula. Hinu ndi, muvya na mtima wa lipyana, ubwina na unngolongondi, uhiluka na ukangamala.
Put on therefore, as [the] elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Msindimalinanayi na kulekekesana mmonga winu peivya na lijambu loloha kwa muyaki. Mganikiwa kulekekesana ngati Bambu winu cheavalekisi nyenye.
forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any should have a complaint against any; even as the Christ has forgiven you, so also [do] ye.
14 Mukuyonjokesa genago, muyendelela kukamulila uganu, muni uganu wikunga kila chindu muumonga wa uchakaka.
And to all these [add] love, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 Na uteke wa Kilisitu ulongosa mumitima yinu, muni ndava Chapanga avakemili nyenye mvya na uteke mwakemeliwi kuvya higa yimonga. Kavili kusengusa!
And let the peace of Christ preside in your hearts, to which also ye have been called in one body, and be thankful.
16 Ujumbi wa Kilisitu utama kwa umahele mugati yinu. Muwulanayi na kuhakalilana kwa luhala lwoha. Muyimba nyimbu za zabuli na nyimbu za kumsengusa Chapanga na nyimbu za kumuyupa Chapanga, mumyimbila Chapanga nyimbu za kusengusa.
Let the word of the Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another, in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.
17 Na kila chindu chemwikita kwa malovi amala litendu, mkita goha kwa kumtopesa Bambu Yesu na kumsengusa Chapanga Dadi mu njila yaki.
And everything, whatever ye may do in word or in deed, [do] all things in [the] name of [the] Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him.
18 Nyenye vadala, muvayuwanila vagosi vinu, muni ndi cheigana Chapanga.
Wives, be subject to [your] husbands, as is fitting in [the] Lord.
19 Na vagosi nyenye, muvagana vadala vinu, na mkoto kuvaywangila.
Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
20 Vana nyenye, mvakitila gabwina vadadi na vanyina vinu magono goha ndi yikumganisa Bambu.
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in [the] Lord.
21 Vadadi na vanyina nyenye, mkoto kuvakitila luhonda vana vinu, nambu yati videnyeka mtima.
Fathers, do not vex your children, to the end that they be not disheartened.
22 Vavanda nyenye muvayuwanila vakulu vinu mugoha, lepi pevakuvalola ndu mwigana mulolekanayi vabwina nambu mkita genago kwa mtima woha ndava ya kumlumba Bambu.
Bondmen, obey in all things your masters according to flesh; not with eye-services, as men-pleasers, but in simplicity of heart, fearing the Lord.
23 Kila chemwihenga muhenga kwa mtima winu woha, ndava ya kumuhengela Bambu lepi ndava ya kumuhengela mundu.
Whatsoever ye do, labour at it heartily, as [doing it] to the Lord, and not to men;
24 Mukumbuka kuvya Bambu yati akuvapela njombi yila yeavavikili vandu vaki. Ndava munu mwemukuhegela ndi Kilisitu Bambu!
knowing that of [the] Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance; ye serve the Lord Christ.
25 Mweikita gahakau yati ipokela kulandana na uhakau waki, Chapanga ibagula lepi.
For he that does a wrong shall receive the wrong he has done, and there is no respect of persons.
