लुका 17

1 येशूले आफ्ना चेलाहरूलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “पाप गर्न लगाउने कुराहरू निश्‍चय नै हुनेछन्, तर त्यस व्यक्‍तिलाई धिक्‍कार छ जसद्वारा यो आउँदछ ।

And he said to his disciples, It is impossible for the stumbling-blocks not to come, but woe to him through whom they come!

2 उसले यी सानाहरूमध्ये एक जनालाई ठेस लगाउनुभन्दा त उसको घाँटीमा ढुङ्गा झुन्डाएर उसलाई समुद्रमा फालिदिएको भए उसको लागि असल हुने थियो ।

It is better for him if a donkey-powered millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

3 आफ्नो बारेमा होसियार रहो । तिम्रो भाइले पाप गर्छ भने उसलाई हप्काऊ र उसले क्षमा माग्छ भने उसलाई क्षमा गर ।

Take heed to yourselves. And if thy brother should sin against thee, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.

4 यदि उसले तिम्रो विरुद्धमा दिनमा सात पटकसम्म पाप गर्दछ भने र सातै पटक तिमीकहाँ फर्की आएर, ‘म पश्‍चात्ताप गर्छु’ भन्यो भने तिमीले उसलाई क्षमा गर्नुपर्छ ।

And if he should sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times in the day turn back, saying, I repent, thou will forgive him.

5 प्रेरितहरूले प्रभुलाई भने “हाम्रो विश्‍वास बढाइदिनुहोस् ।”

And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase faith for us.

6 प्रभुले भन्‍नुभयो “यदि तिमीसँग रायोको बिउजत्रो विश्‍वास छ भने नेभाराको रुखलाई ‘यहाँबाट उखेलिएर समुद्रमा जा’ भन्यौ भने त्यसले तिम्रो आज्ञा मान्‍नेछ ।

And the Lord said, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard plant, ye would say to this sycamine tree, Be thou uprooted and be planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.

7 तर तिमीहरूमध्ये को होला जसको नोकरले जोत्दै वा भेडा चराउँदै गर्दा उसले तिमीलाई भन्‍नेछ, तत्कालै आउनुहोस् र खाना खानलाई बसौँ ।”

But which of you having a bondman plowing or feeding livestock, who, when he comes in from the field, will straightaway say, After coming near, sit down?

8 मेरो लागि खानको लागि खानेकुरा तयार पार, र कम्मरमा पटुका कस र मैले नसकुन्जेल मेरो सेवा गर भनेन भने, के तिमीले त्यसपछि केही कुरा खाने र पिउने गर्दछौ र?

Will he not rather say to him, Prepare what I may dine, and having gird thyself, serve me until I eat and drink, and after these things thou will eat and drink?

9 उसले आफ्नो नोकरलाई स्याबासी दिनेछैन किनकि हामीले केही आज्ञा नगरी के उसले हाम्रो निम्ति गर्नेछ?

Does he have a favor for that bondman because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.

10 तिमीले अर्‍हाएको कुरा मात्र गर्दछौ भने तिमीले यसो पो भन्‍नुपर्ने हो, “हामी अयोग्य नोकरहरू हौँ, हामीले गर्नुपर्ने मात्र गरेका छौँ ।”

Thus ye also, when ye did all the things that were commanded you, say, We are unprofitable bondmen, because we have done what we are obligated to do.

11 यो भन्दै गर्दा तिनीहरू यरूशलेमको यात्रा गर्दै थिए । त्यस बेला उहाँ सामरिया र गालील हुँदै यात्रा गर्नुभयो ।

And it came to pass as he went to Jerusalem, that he was passing through the middle of Samaria and Galilee.

12 एउटा गाउँमा पुगेपछि, उहाँले दस जना कुष्‍ठरोग लागेका मानिसलाई भेट्नुभयो । तिनीहरू उहाँभन्दा टाढा उभिए ।

And as he entered into a certain village, ten leprous men who stood from afar met him.

13 र तिनीहरूले चर्को स्वरले भने, “येशू गुरुज्यू, हामीमाथि दया गर्नुहोस् ।”

And they raised a voice, saying, Jesus, Master, be merciful to us.

14 जब उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई देख्‍नुभयो र भन्‍नुभयो, “जाओ र आफैँलाई पुजारीकहाँ देखाओ । र तिनीहरू गए अनि निको भए ।”

And when he saw them, he said to them, After departing, display yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, during their going they were cleansed.

15 जब तीमध्ये एक जनाले आफू निको भएको महसुस गर्‍यो, ऊ चर्को स्वरले परमेश्‍वरको महिमा गर्दै फर्कियो ।”

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back with a great voice glorifying God.

16 उसले येशूको चरणमा पर्दै, उहाँलाई धन्यवाद चढायो । ऊ एउटा सामरी थियो ।

And he fell upon his face beside his feet giving him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.

17 येशूले उत्तर दिँदै भन्‍नुभयो, “के त्यहाँ दस जना निको भएका होइनन्? अरू नौ जना कहाँ गए?

And having answered, Jesus said, Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

18 के यो परदेशीबाहेक निको भएकाहरू फर्केर परमेश्‍वरलाई महिमा दिनुपर्ने होइन र?

Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?

19 उहाँले त्यसलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “उठ र आफ्नो बाटो जाऊ, तिम्रो विश्‍वासले तिमीलाई निको पारेको छ ।”

And he said to him, After rising, go. Thy faith has healed thee.

20 फरिसीहरूले परमेश्‍वरको राज्य कहिले आउँछ भनी सोधे । येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “परमेश्‍वरको राज्य तिमीहरूले देखेको जस्तै होइन,

And questioned by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God comes, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation,

21 न त तिनीहरूले भन्‍नेछन्, ‘यता हेर! वा उता हेर!’ किनभने परमेश्‍वरको राज्य तिमीहरूकै माझमा छ ।”

nor will they say, Lo, here! or, Lo, there! For behold, the kingdom of God is inside of you.

22 येशूले चेलाहरूलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “त्यो दिन आउनेछ जब तिमीहरूले मानिसका पुत्रलाई हेर्ने इच्छा गरौला तर तिमीहरूले देख्‍नेछैनौ ।

And he said to the disciples, The days will come when ye will long to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye will not see it.

23 तिनीहरूले तिमीलाई भन्‍नेछन्, ‘यता हेर! उता हेर!’ तर तिमीहरूले नहेर, न त तिनीहरूलाई पछ्याओ ।

And they will say to you, Lo, here! Lo, there! Do not depart, nor pursue.

24 आकाशमा एउटा कुनामा बिजुली चम्कदा अर्को कुनामा देखिएजस्तै मानिसका पुत्रको आगमनको दिनमा त्यस्तै हुनेछ ।

For just as the lightning, its flashing from under the sky to under the sky, illuminates, so will the Son of man be in his day.

25 तर उहाँ पहिले विभिन्‍न थोकहरूबाट सताइनुहुनेछ र यो पुस्ताद्वारा अस्वीकार गरिनुहुनेछ ।

But first it is necessary for him to suffer many things and be rejected from this generation.

26 यस्ता घटनाहरू नोआको समयमा पनि भएको थिए र मानिसका पुत्रको समयमा पनि ती कुराहरू हुनेछन् ।

And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so also it will be in the days of the Son of man.

27 नोआ जहाजभित्र नपसुन्जेलसम्म तिनीहरू खाँदै, पिउँदै, र विवाहमा सहभागी भएका थिए । त्यसपछि बाढी आयो र सबै कुरालाई विनाश गर्‍यो ।

They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 यस्तै घटनाहरू लोतको समयमा पनि घटेको थियो । त्यस समयमा तिनीहरूले खाँदै, पिउँदै, किन्दै, बेच्दै, र ती विभिन्‍न कुराहरूको निर्माण गर्दै थिए ।

And likewise as it happened in the days of Lot. They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built.

29 तर त्यो दिन जब लोत सदोम छोडेर गए, त्यसपछि आगो र गन्धक स्वर्गबाट बर्सियो र सबै कुरालाई नष्‍ट गर्‍यो ।

But in that day Lot went out from Sodom he rained fire and brimstone from the sky, and destroyed them all.

30 अब मानिसका पुत्रको समयमा पनि यस्तै कुराहरू हुनेछन् ।

It will be according to these things in that day the Son of man is revealed.

31 त्यस दिनमा घरको माथिल्लो तल्‍लाबाट आफ्ना असल चिज लिनको लागि तल नआओ । र कोही खेतमा छ भने, नफर्क ।

In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his vessels in the house, let him not go down to take them up. And let him who is in the field likewise not return for the things behind.

32 लोतकी पत्‍नीलाई सम्झ ।

Remember Lot's wife.

33 जसले आफ्नो प्राण बचाउन खोज्ला उसले त्यो गुमाउनेछ, तर जसले गुमाउला, उसको बचाइनेछ ।

Whoever will seek to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose it will keep it alive.

34 म तिमीलाई भन्‍नेछु, रातको समयमा दुई जना एकै ठाउँमा सुत्‍नेछन् ।

I say to you, in that night there will be two in one bed. The one man will be taken, and the other man will be left.

35 तिनीहरूमध्ये एक जना लगिनेछ, र अर्को छोडिनेछ ।

Two will be grinding together. The one woman will be taken, and the other woman will be left.

36 (खेतमा दुई जना हुनेछन् तिनीहरूमध्ये एक जना लगिनेछ र अर्को छोडिनेछ । )

This verse is not in the majority of the Greek manuscripts.

37 तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई सोधे, “कहाँ प्रभु?” र उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “जहाँ सिनो हुन्छ, त्यहाँ गिद्धहरू जम्मा हुनेछन् ।”

And having answered, they say to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body is, there the vultures will be gathered together.
