၃ ဓမ္မရာဇဝင် 18
1 ၁ ကာလအင်တန်ကြာ၍ သုံးနှစ်စေ့သောအခါ၊ ဧလိယသို့ရောက်လာသော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်က၊ သင်သည် အာဟပ်မင်းအားသွား၍ ကိုယ်ကို ပြလော့။ ငါသည်လည်း မြေပေါ်မှာ မိုဃ်းရွာစေမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊
And it came to pass after many days, that the word of Jehovah came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself to Ahab, and I will send rain upon the earth.
2 ၂ ဧလိယသည် အာဟပ်မင်းအား ကိုယ်ကိုပြအံ့ သောငှါသွား၏။ ထိုအခါ ရှမာရိမြို့၌ပြင်းစွာသော အစာအာဟာရခေါင်းပါးခြင်းဘေးရှိ၍၊
And Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. And the famine was severe in Samaria.
And Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household. (Now Obadiah feared Jehovah greatly;
4 ၄ ယေဇဗေလသည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ပရောဖက်တို့ကိုပယ်ဖြတ်သောအခါ၊ ဩဗဒိသည် ပရောဖက်တရာကို မြေတွင်းထဲမှာ ငါးဆယ်စီဝှက်ထားပြီးလျှင်၊ မုန့်နှင့်ရေကိုပေး၍ ကျွေးလေ၏။
for it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of Jehovah, that Obadiah took a hundred prophets, and hid them by fifties in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
5 ၅ အာဟပ်ကလည်း၊ တပြည်လုံးသို့လှည့်လည်၍ စမ်းရေတွင်းများ၊ ချောင်းများရှိရာအရပ်ရပ်သို့ သွားလော့။ တိရစ္ဆာန်အပေါင်းတို့သည် မသေ၊ မြင်းနှင့်လားတို့သည် အသက်လွတ်မည်အကြောင်း၊ မြက်ပင်ကို တွေ့ကောင်းတွေ့လိမ့်မည်ဟု ဩဗဒိအားဆိုလျက်၊
And Ahab said to Obadiah, Go through the land, to all the fountains of water, and to all the brooks. Perhaps we may find grass and save the horses and mules alive, that we not lose all the beasts.
So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it; Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
7 ၇ ဩဗဒိသည်သွားစဉ်အခါ၊ ဧလိယသည် ဆီး၍ကြို၏။ ဩဗဒိသည် ဧလိယကိုသိ၍ ပြပ်ဝပ်လျက်၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်သခင် ဧလိယမှန်ပါသလောဟု မေးလျှင်၊
And as Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him. And he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Is it thou, my lord Elijah?
And he answered him, It is I. Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here.
9 ၉ ဩဗဒိကလည်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်၏ အသက်ကို သတ်စေခြင်းငှါ အာဟပ်၌ အပ်ရမည်အကြောင်း၊ ကိုယ် တော်ကျွန်သည် အဘယ်သို့ ပြစ်မှားဘိသနည်း။
And he said, How have I sinned that thou would deliver thy servant into the hand of Ahab to kill me?
10 ၁၀ ကိုယ်တော်၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား အသက်ရှင်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကို ရှာစေ ခြင်းငှါ အကျွန်ုပ်သခင်မစေလွှတ်သော တိုင်းနိုင်ငံတခုမျှ မရှိပါ။ တကျွန်းတနိုင်ငံသားက၊ ဧလိယမရှိပါဟု လျှောက်သောအခါ၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကို ရှာ၍မတွေ့နိုင်ဟု ထိုတိုင်းနိုင်ငံသားတို့သည် အကျိန်ကိုခံရကြပါ၏။
As Jehovah thy God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek thee. And when they said, He is not here, he took an oath from the kingdom and nation that they did not find thee.
11 ၁၁ ယခုမူကား၊ ဧလိယသည် ဤမည်သောအရပ်၌ ရှိပါ၏ဟု သင့်သခင်ထံသို့သွား၍ လျှောက်လော့ဟု မိန့် တော်မူပါသည်တကား။
And now thou say, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here.
12 ၁၂ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုယ်တော်ထံမှ ထွက်သွား၍ အာဟပ်မင်းထံမှာ လျှောက်စဉ်တွင်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်မသိသောအရပ်သို့ ကိုယ်တော်ကို ဆောင်သွားတော်မူလျှင်၊ အာဟပ်မင်းသည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို မတွေ့နိုင်သောအခါ အကျွန်ုပ်ကို သတ်ပါလိမ့်မည်။ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်မူကား၊ အသက်ငယ်စဉ်ကာလ မှစ၍ ထာဝရဘုရားကို ရိုသေပါပြီ။
And it will come to pass, as soon as I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of Jehovah will carry thee where I know not. And so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he will kill me. But I thy servant fear Jehovah from my youth.
13 ၁၃ ယေဇဗေလသည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ပရောဖက် တို့ကို သတ်သောအခါ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ပြုသောအမှုတည်း ဟူသော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ပရောဖက်တရာကို မြေတွင်းထဲမှာ ငါးဆယ်စီ ဝှက်ထားပြီးလျှင်၊ မုန့်နှင့်ရေကိုပေး၍ ကျွေးကြောင်းကို အကျွန်ုပ်သခင်ကြားတော်မမူသလော။
Was it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of Jehovah, how I hid a hundred men of Jehovah's prophets by fifties in a cave, and fed them with bread and water?
14 ၁၄ ယခုမူကား၊ ဧလိယသည် ဤမည်သောအရပ်၌ ရှိပါ၏ဟု သင့်သခင်ထံသို့သွား၍ လျှောက်လော့ဟု ကိုယ်တော်မိန့်တော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အာဟပ်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်ကို သတ်ပါလိမ့်မည်ဟု ပြန်ဆို၏။
And now thou say, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here, and he will kill me.
15 ၁၅ ဧလိယကလည်း၊ ငါကိုးကွယ်သော ကောင်းကင် ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားအသက် ရှင်တော်မူသည် အတိုင်း၊ ငါသည် ယနေ့အာဟပ်မင်းအား ကိုယ်ကို အမှန်ပြမည်ဟု ဆိုပြန်သော်၊
And Elijah said, As Jehovah of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.
So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him, and Ahab went to meet Elijah.
And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, Is it thou, thou troubler of Israel?
18 ၁၈ ဧလိယက၊ ငါသည်ဣသရေလအမျိုးကို မနှောင့်ရှက်၊ သင်နှင့် သင့်အဆွေအမျိုးတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ပညတ်တရားကိုစွန့်၍ ဗာလဘုရားတို့ကိုဆည်းကပ်သဖြင့်၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးကို နှောင့်ရှက်ကြပြီ။
And he answered, I have not troubled Israel, but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of Jehovah, and thou have followed the Baalim.
19 ၁၉ သို့ရာတွင်လူကို ယခုစေလွှတ်၍ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့ကို၎င်း၊ ဗာလပရောဖက်လေးရာ ငါးဆယ်ကို၎င်း၊ ယေဇဗေလစားပွဲ၌ စားသောအာရှရပရောဖက်လေးရာကို၎င်း၊ ကရမေလတောင်၊ ငါ့ထံသို့ စုဝေးစေလော့ဟုဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊
Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel to mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the Asherah four hundred, who eat at Jezebel's table.
20 ၂၀ အာဟပ်သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့ရှိရာသို့ စေလွှတ်၍၊ ပရောဖက်တို့ကို ရမေလတောင် ပေါ်မှ စုဝေးစေ၏။
So Ahab sent to all the sons of Israel, and gathered the prophets together to mount Carmel.
21 ၂၁ ဧလိယသည် လူများရှိရာသို့ လာ၍၊ သင်တို့ သည် ဘာသာနှစ်ပါးစပ်ကြားမှာ အဘယ်မျှကာလ ပတ်လုံး ယုံမှားသောစိတ်နှင့် နေကြလိမ့်မည်နည်း။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဘုရားသခင်မှန်လျှင် ထိုဘုရားကို ဆည်းကပ်ကြလော့။ ဗာလသည် ဘုရားသခင်မှန်လျှင် ထိုဘုရားကို ဆည်းကပ်ကြလော့ဟုဆိုလျှင်၊ လူများတို့ သည် တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ နေကြ၏။
And Elijah came near to all the people, and said, How long do ye go limping between the two sides? If Jehovah be God, follow him, but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
Then Elijah said to the people, I, even I only, am left a prophet of Jehovah, but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
23 ၂၃ နွားနှစ်ကောင်ကို ပေးကြလော့။ သူတို့သည် တကောင်ကိုရွေး၍ အပိုင်းပိုင်းဖြတ်ပြီးလျှင် ထင်းပေါ်မှာ တင်ပါလေစေ။ မီးမထည့်စေနှင့်။ ငါလည်း နွားတကောင်ကို လုပ်၍ထင်းပေါ်မှာ တင်မည်။ မီးကိုမထည့်။
Let them therefore give us two bullocks, and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under. And I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under.
24 ၂၄ သင်တို့သည် သင်တို့ဘုရားများ၏ နာမကို ဟစ်ခေါ်ကြလော့။ ငါလည်း ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နာမတော် ကို ဟစ်ခေါ်မည်။ မီးဖြင့် ထူးတော်မူသောဘုရားသည် ဘုရားသခင်မှန်ပါစေဟု လူများတို့အား ပြောဆိုလျှင်၊ လူအပေါင်းတို့က၊ ဧလိယ၏စကားသည် လျောက်ပတ်ပေသည်ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။
And call ye on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of Jehovah. And the God that answers by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.
25 ၂၅ တဖန်ဧလိယက၊ သင်တို့သည် များသောကြောင့် နွားတကောင်ကို အရင်ရွေး၍ လုပ်ကြလော့။ မီးမထည့်ဘဲ သင်တို့ဘုရားများ၏နာမကို ဟစ်ခေါ် ကြလော့ဟု ဗာလ၏ပရောဖက်တို့အားဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊
And Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first, for ye are many, and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under.
26 ၂၆ သူတို့သည် လူများပေးသော နွားကိုယူ၍ လုပ်ပြီးလျှင်၊ အိုဗာလဘုရား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား ထူးတော်မူပါဟု နံနက်အချိန်မှစ၍ မွန်းတည့်အချိန်တိုင်အောင် ဗာလ၏ နာမကို ဟစ်ခေါ်ကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ဗျာဒိတ်သံမရှိ။ ထူးသောသူလည်းမရှိ။ သူတို့သည် ကိုယ်တည်သော ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ရှေ့မှာ ကခုန်ကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ဗျာဒိတ်သံမရှိ။ ထူးသောသူလည်းမရှိ။ သူတို့သည် ကိုယ်တည်သော ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ရှေ့မှာ ကခုန်ကြ၏။
And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped about the altar which was made.
27 ၂၇ မွန်းတည့်အချိန်၌ ဧလိယက၊ ကျယ်သောအသံ နှင့် ဟစ်ကြလော့။ ဗာလသည် ဘုရားဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ ဆင်ခြင်လျက် နေတော်မူ၏။ သို့မဟုတ် တစုံတခုကို လိုက်၍ရှာတော်မူ၏။ သို့မဟုတ် ခရီးသွားတော်မူ၏။ သို့မဟုတ် ကျိန်းစက်တော်မူသောကြောင့်၊ တစုံတယောက် သောသူသည် နှိုးရမည်ဟု ပြက်ယယ်ပြု၍ဆို၏။
And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud, for he is a god. Either he is meditating, or he is gone aside, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he sleeps and must be awakened.
28 ၂၈ သူတို့သည်လည်း ကျယ်သောအသံနှင့် ဟစ်၍ ထုံးစံရှိသည်အတိုင်း၊ ကိုယ်အသွေးနှင့် ကိုယ်ကိုလူးခြင်းငှါ ထား၊ သံစူးနှင့်ကိုယ်ကို ရှစေကြ၏။
And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lances, till the blood gushed out upon them.
29 ၂၉ မွန်းလွှဲ၍ ညဦးယံယဇ်ပူဇော်ချိန်တိုင်အောင် ပရောဖက်ပြုကြသော်လည်း၊ ဗျာဒိတ်သံမရှိ။ ထူးသောသူ၊ အမှုထားသောသူလည်း မရှိသောအခါ၊
And it was so, when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening oblation, but there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.
30 ၃၀ ဧလိယက၊ ငါ့အနီးသို့လာကြလော့ဟု လူများတို့ကိုခေါ်သည်အတိုင်း၊ လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် အနီးသို့လာကြ၏။ ထိုအခါဧလိယသည် ပြိုပျက်သော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ကို ရှင်းလင်းပြီးမှ၊
And Elijah said to all the people, Come near to me. And all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of Jehovah that was thrown down.
31 ၃၁ သင်၏အမည်ကား ဣသရေလဖြစ်ရမည်ဟူသော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ဗျာဒိတ်တော်ကိုခံရသော ယာကုပ်သား အမျိုးအနွယ် အရေအတွက်အတိုင်း၊ ကျောက်တဆယ်နှစ်လုံးကိုယူ၍၊
And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob to whom the word of Jehovah came, saying, Israel shall be thy name.
32 ၃၂ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နာမတော်အဘို့ ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ကို တည်ပြီးမှ၊ မျိုးစေ့နှစ်တင်းလောက်ဝင်နိုင်သော ကျုံးကို ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ပတ်လည်၌ တူးလေ၏။
And with the stones he built an altar in the name of Jehovah. And he made a trench around the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid it on the wood. And he said, Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt offering, and on the wood.
34 ၃၄ အိုးလေးလုံးကိုရေနှင့် အပြည့်ထည့်၍၊ မီးရှို့စရာ ယဇ်နှင့်ထင်းပေါ်မှာလောင်းကြလော့ဟု ဆိုသည်အတိုင်း သူတို့သည် လောင်းပြီးမှ၊ တဖန်လောင်းကြဦးလော့ဟု ဆိုသည်အတိုင်း သူတို့သည်လောင်းပြီးမှ၊ သုံးကြိမ် တိုင်အောင် လောင်းကြလော့ဟုဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊ သူတို့သည် သုံးကြိမ်တိုင်အောင် လောင်းကြ၏။
And he said, Do it the second time, and they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time, and they did it the third time.
And the water ran round about the altar, and he also filled the trench with water.
36 ၃၆ ညဦးယံ ယဇ်ပူဇော်ချိန်ရောက်သောအခါ၊ ပရောဖက်ဧလိယသည် ချဉ်းလာ၍၊ အာဗြဟံ၊ ဣဇာက်၊ ဣသရေလတို့၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုး၏ဘုရားသခင် ဖြစ်တော်မူ ကြောင်းကို၎င်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ဖြစ်၍ အမိန့်တော်အတိုင်း ဤအမှုအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ပြုကြောင်းကို ၎င်း၊ ယနေ့သိကြပါစေသော။
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening oblation, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou are God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 ၃၇ အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ထာဝရအရှင်ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်တော်မူကြောင်းကို၎င်း၊ ဤလူတို့ စိတ်သဘောကို ပြောင်းလဲစေတော်မူကြောင်းကို၎င်း၊ သူတို့သည် သိစေခြင်းငှါ အကျွန်ုပ်စကားကိုနားထောင် တော်မူပါ။ နားထောင်တော်မူပါဟု ဆုတောင်းလေ၏။
Hear me, O Jehovah, hear me, that this people may know that thou, Jehovah, are God, and that thou have turned their heart back again.
38 ၃၈ ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရား၏မီးသည် ကျသဖြင့်၊ မီးရှို့ရာယဇ်အစရှိသော ထင်း၊ ကျောက်၊ မြေမှုန့်ကို လောင်၍ကျုံး၌ရှိသော ရေကိုလည်း ခန်းခြောက်စေ၏။
Then the fire of Jehovah fell, and consumed the burnt offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 ၃၉ လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် မြင်လျှင် ပြပ်ဝပ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏ဟု ဝန်ခံကြ၏။
And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces. And they said, Jehovah, he is God, Jehovah, he is God.
40 ၄၀ ဧလိယကလည်း၊ ဗာလ၏ပရောဖက်တို့ကို ဘမ်းဆီးကြလော့။ တယောက်ကိုမျှ မလွတ်စေနှင့်ဟုစီရင် သည်အတိုင်း၊ သူတို့ကို ဘမ်းဆီး၍ ဧလိယသည် ကိရှုန်ချောင်းသို့ ယူသွားပြီးလျှင် ကွပ်မျက်လေ၏။
and Elijah said to them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them, and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and killed them there.
41 ၄၁ ထိုနောက်မှ ဧလိယက၊ မင်းကြီးသည် စား သောက်ခြင်းငှါ တက်သွားပါလော့။ များစွာသော မိုဃ်းရွာ မည့်အသံရှိသည်ဟု အာဟပ်အား ပြောဆိုလျှင်၊
And Elijah said to Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of abundance of rain.
42 ၄၂ အာဟပ်သည်စားသောက်ခြင်းငှါ တက်သွား၏။ ဧလိယသည် ကရမေလတောင်ပေါ်သို့ တက်၍၊ မြေ၌ ပြပ်ဝပ်လျက်မျက်နှာကို ဒူးကြားမှာ ထားလျက်၊
So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel, and he bowed himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees.
43 ၄၃ မိမိကျွန်အားသင်တက်၍ ပင်လယ်သို့ ကြည့်ရှုလော့ဟုဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊ ကျွန်သည်တက်၍ ကြည့်ရှုလျှင်၊ အဘယ်အရာမျှ မရှိပါဟု ပြောဆို၏။ ဧလိယက၊ ခုနစ် ကြိမ်တိုင်အောင်သွား၍ ကြည့်ရှုဦးလော့ဟု ဆို၏။
And he said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.
44 ၄၄ ခုနစ်ကြိမ်မြောက်သောအခါ၊ လူလက်နှင့် တူသော မိုဃ်းတိမ်ငယ်တခုသည် ပင်လယ်ထဲက တက်ပါ ၏ဟုဆိုသော်၊ အာဟပ်မင်းထံသို့ သွားလော့။ မိုဃ်းရွာ၍ ဆီးတားမည်ကိုစိုးရိမ်စရာရှိသောကြောင့်၊ မင်းကြီး ပြင်ဆင်၍ ပြန်သွားမည်အကြောင်း လျှောက်ထားလော့ ဟု မှာလိုက်လေ၏။
And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, a cloud rises out of the sea, as small as a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say to Ahab, Make ready thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain not stop thee.
45 ၄၅ မကြာမမြင့်မှီ မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်သည် မိုဃ်းသက်မုန်တိုင်းနှင့် မည်း၍ ပြင်းစွာမိုဃ်းရွာ၏။ အာဟပ် သည် ရထားစီး၍ ယေဇရေလမြို့သို့ သွား၏။
And it came to pass in a little while, that the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
46 ၄၆ ထာဝရဘုရား၏လက်တော်သည် ဧလိယအပေါ်မှာရှိ၍၊ သူသည် ခါးပန်းကိုစည်းလျက် အာဟပ်မင်း အရင် ယေဇရလမြို့ တံခါးဝသို့ ပြေးလေ၏။
And the hand of Jehovah was on Elijah, and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
