मत्तय 27
1 १ जेव्हा सकाळ झाली तेव्हा सर्व मुख्य याजक लोक व वडीलजन यांनी येशूविरूद्ध कट केला आणि कशा प्रकारे येशूला ठार मारायचे याचा विचार केला.
BUT when it was morning, the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jeshu, how they should put him to death.
And they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him to Pilatos the governor.
3 ३ तेव्हा येशू दंडास पात्र ठरवण्यात आला असे पाहून त्यास शत्रूच्या हाती देणारा यहूदा पस्तावला, म्हणून त्याने चांदीची तीस नाणी घेऊन मुख्य याजक लोक व वडिलांकडे परत आला.
Then Jihuda the traitor, when he saw that Jeshu was condemned, repented him, and went hastily, and returned those thirty of silver unto the chief priests and elders,
4 ४ तो म्हणाला, “मी निर्दोष रक्ताला धरून देऊन पाप केले आहे” यहूदी पुढाऱ्यांनी उत्तर दिले, “आम्हास त्याचे काय? तो तुझा प्रश्न आहे!”
and said, I have sinned, for I have betrayed the innocent blood. But they said to him, To us? what to us? Thou knowest, -thou!
5 ५ तेव्हा यहूदाने ती चांदीची नाणी परमेश्वराच्या भवनात फेकून दिली आणि तो गेला. मग बाहेर जाऊन त्याने स्वतःला गळफास लावून घेतला.
And he cast down the silver in the temple, and passed away, and went and strangled himself.
6 ६ मुख्य याजकांनी चांदीची ती तीस नाणी घेतली आणि ते म्हणाले, “हे पैसे परमेश्वराच्या भवनाच्या खजिन्यात ठेवता येणार नाहीत. हे आमच्या नियमांविरूद्ध आहे, कारण ते पैसे कोणाला तरी जिवे मारण्यासाठी दिले होते.”
But the chief priests took up the silver, and said, It is not lawful that we throw it into the place of offering, because it is the price of blood.
And they took counsel, and bought with it the field of the potter, for the burial-place of strangers.
Wherefore that field has been called, The field of blood, until this day.
9 ९ तेव्हा यिर्मया संदेष्ट्याच्याद्वारे जे सांगितले होते ते पूर्ण झाले त्याने म्हणले आहे की, “आणि इस्राएलाच्या काही वंशजांनी ज्याचे मोल ठरवले होते, त्याचे मोल ते तीस शेकेल, त्यांनी घेतले.
Then was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet, who said, And I took the thirty (pieces) of silver, the price of him who was precious, whom the sons of Isroel bargained for;
10 १० मला प्रभू परमेश्वराने आज्ञा दिल्यानुसार चांदीच्या त्या तीस नाण्यांनी त्यांनी ते कुंभाराच्या शेतासाठी दिले.”
and gave them for the field of the potter, as the Lord commanded me.
11 ११ मग राज्यपाल पिलातापुढे येशू उभा राहिला तेव्हा पिलाताने त्यास प्रश्न विचारले. तो म्हणाला, “तू यहूद्यांचा राजा आहेस काय?” येशूने उत्तर दिले, “होय, मी आहे, जसे तुम्ही म्हणता.”
But Jeshu himself stood before the governor. And the governor questioned him, and said to him, Thou art the king of the Jihudoyee? Jeshu said to him, Thou hast said.
And while the chief priests and elders were accusing him, he returned not a word.
13 १३ म्हणून पिलात येशूला म्हणाला, “हे लोक तुझ्यावर जो दोषारोप ठेवत आहेत तो तू ऐकत आहेस ना? तर मग तू का उत्तर देत नाहीस?”
Then said Pilatos unto him, Hearest thou not what they witness against thee?
But he gave him no answer, no, not in one word; and upon this (Pilate) marvelled greatly.
15 १५ वल्हांडण सणानिमित्त दरवर्षी लोकांसाठी राज्यपालाने त्यांच्या निवडीप्रमाणे तुरूंगातून एकाला सोडण्याची प्रथा होती.
Now at every festival the governor was accustomed to release one of the bound unto the people, whomsoever they would.
But there was (then) bound a notorious prisoner who was called Bar-aba.
17 १७ म्हणून जेव्हा लोक जमले, तेव्हा पिलाताने त्यांना विचारले, “तुमच्यासाठी मी कोणाला सोडावे अशी तुमची इच्छा आहे? बरब्बाला की ज्याला ख्रिस्त म्हणतात त्या येशूला?”
And when they were assembled, Pilatos said to them, Whom will you that I release unto you, Bar-aba, or Jeshu who is called the Meshicha?
For Pilatos knew that from malice they had delivered him.
19 १९ तो न्यायासनावर बसला असतानाच त्याच्या पत्नीने त्यास एक निरोप पाठवून कळवले, “या मनुष्याविषयी सावध राहा; कारण तो दोषी नाही. त्याच्यामुळे स्वप्नात मला आज दिवसभर फार दुःखसहन करावे लागले आहे.”
But while the governor sat upon his tribunal, his wife sent to him saying, Let there be nothing between thee and that Just One; for much have I suffered in a dream to-day on his account.
20 २० पण पिलाताने बरब्बाला सोडून द्यावे व येशूला जिवे मारावे अशी मागणी लोकांनी करावी म्हणून मुख्य याजकांनी व वडीलजनांनी लोकसमुदायाचे मन वळवले.
But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that he should release to them Bar-aba, that they might destroy Jeshu.
21 २१ राज्यपालाने त्यांना विचारले, “मी या दोघांतून तुमच्यासाठी कोणाला सोडून द्यावे अशी तुमची इच्छा आहे?” लोकांनी उत्तर दिले, “बरब्बाला.”
And the governor answered and said to them, Whom will you that I shall release to you of these two? Then they said, Bar-aba.
22 २२ पिलाताने विचारले, “मग ज्याला ख्रिस्त म्हणतात त्या येशूचे मी काय करावे?” सर्व लोक ओरडून म्हणाले, “त्याला वधस्तंभावर खिळून मारून टाका!”
Pilatos saith to them, And to Jeshu who is called the Meshicha, what shall I do with him? They all said, Let him be crucified.
23 २३ आणि तो म्हणाला, “का? त्याने काय अपराध केला आहे?” परंतु सर्व लोक मोठ्याने ओरडून म्हणू लागले, “त्याला वधस्तंभावर खिळा!”
Pilatos saith to them, Why, what evil hath he done? But they clamoured the more, and said, Let him be crucified!
24 २४ लोकांच्या पुढे आपले काही चालत नाही हे पिलाताने पाहिले. पण उलट लोक अधिक अशांत होऊ लागले होते, तेव्हा त्याने पाणी घेतले आणि लोकांच्या समोर आपले हात धुतले व म्हटले, “या नीतिमान मनुष्याच्या रक्ताविषयी मी निर्दोष आहे. तुमचे तुम्हीच पहा.”
Then Pilatos, when he saw that nothing availed, but that the tumult became greater, took waters (and) washed his hands before the assembly, and said, I am expiated from the blood of this Just One. You shall know.
And all the people answered and said, His blood upon us, and upon our children!
26 २६ मग पिलाताने बरब्बाला सोडून दिले. पण येशूला चाबकाचे फटके मारले व त्यास वधस्तंभावर खिळून मारावे म्हणून त्याच्याहाती सोपवून दिले.
THEN he released to them Bar-aba; and scourged Jeshu with thongs, and delivered him to be crucified.
27 २७ नंतर पिलाताचे शिपाई येशूला राज्यपालाच्या वाड्यात घेऊन आले आणि त्यांनी त्याच्यासाठी सगळी शिपायांची तुकडी जमवली.
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jeshu to the Praetorium, and the whole cohort gathered against him.
And they stripped him, and invested him with a cloak of crimson.
29 २९ मग एक काट्यांचा मुकुट तयार करून तो त्याच्या डोक्यावर ठेवला. तसेच त्यांनी त्याच्या उजव्या हातात एक वेत दिला. मग शिपाई त्याच्यापुढे गुडघे टेकून त्याची थट्टा करून म्हणू लागले, “यहूद्यांचा राजा चिरायू होवो!”
And they interwove a crown of thorns, and set it upon his head, and a cane in his right hand: and they kneeled upon their knees before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, king of the Jihudoyee!
And they did spit in his face, and took the cane, and struck him upon his head.
31 ३१ येशूची थट्टा करण्याचे संपविल्यावर त्यांनी त्याचा झगा काढून घेतला आणि त्याचे कपडे त्यास घातले. मग ते त्यास वधस्तंभावर खिळायला घेऊन गेले.
And when they had derided him, they stripped him of the cloak, and clothed him with his own garments, and led him away to be crucified.
32 ३२ ते बाहेर जात असता त्यांना एक शिमोन कुरनेकर नावाचा मनुष्य भेटला. त्यांनी त्यास धरून त्याचा वधस्तंभ वाहायला लावले.
And when they had gone forth, they found a Kurinean man whose name was Shemun: this (man) they compel to carry his cross.
And they came to a place which is called Gogultho, which is expounded, The skull.
34 ३४ तेव्हा त्यांनी त्यास पित्तमिश्रित द्राक्षरस प्यायला दिला. त्याने तो चाखला. पण पिण्यास नकार दिला.
And they gave him to drink vinegar mingled with gall: and he tasted, but was not willing to drink.
And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments by lot: that what was spoken by the prophet might be fulfilled, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
And they sat down and watched him there.
And they placed over his head the occasion of his death, in the writing, This (is) Jeshu, the King of the Jihudoyee.
AND they crucified with him two thieves, one on his right hand, and one on his left.
But they who passed by railed against him, moving their heads,
40 ४० म्हणू लागले, हे परमेश्वराचे भवन मोडून तीन दिवसात परत उभारणाऱ्या, स्वतःला वाचव जर तू देवाचा पुत्र असलास तर वधस्तंभावरून खाली ये.
and saying, Destroyer of the temple, and builder of it in three days! deliver thyself, if thou art the Son of Aloha, and come down from the cross.
Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders and Pharishee, saying,
42 ४२ याने दुसऱ्यांना वाचवले, परंतु तो स्वतःला वाचवू शकत नाही. हा इस्राएलाचा राजा आहे. असेल, त्याने वधस्तंभावरून खाली यावे आणि मग आम्ही त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवू.
He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Isroel, let him now descend from the cross, that we may see and believe in him.
43 ४३ तो देवावर विश्वास ठेवतो, देवाला तो पाहिजे असेल तर त्याने त्यास वाचवावे कारण तो म्हणत होता, मी देवाचा पुत्र आहे.
He trusted upon Aloha; let him liberate him now, if he delighteth in him; for he said, I am the Son of Aloha.
Likewise also the robbers who were crucified with him reviled him.
BUT from the sixth hour there was darkness upon all the land until the ninth hour.
46 ४६ सुमारे नवव्या ताशी, येशू मोठ्या आवाजात ओरडून म्हणाला, “एलोई, एलोई, लमा सबखथनी?” याचा अर्थ “माझ्या देवा, माझ्या देवा, तू माझा त्याग का केलास?”
And about the ninth hour Jeshu cried with a high voice, Aloha! Aloha! why hast thou forsaken me?
But certain of them who stood there, when they heard, said, This hath cried unto Ilio.
48 ४८ त्यांच्यातला एक लगेच धावत गेला आणि बोळा घेऊन आंबेत बुडविला आणि तो वेताच्या टोकावर ठेवून त्यास प्यायला दिला.
And forthwith ran one from them, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and set it upon a cane, and gave him to drink.
49 ४९ परंतु त्यांतील दुसरे म्हणाले, “त्याला एकटे राहू द्या, एलीया येऊन त्यास वाचवतो काय, ते आपण पाहू.”
But the rest said, Let alone, we will see whether Ilio (will) come to deliver him.
But he, Jeshu, again cried with a high voice, and dismissed his spirit.
51 ५१ पाहा, परमेश्वराच्या भवनातील पडदा वरपासून खालपर्यंत दोन भागात फाटला गेला, भूमी कापली, खडक फुटले.
And at once the veil of the temple was rent in twain from above to beneath; and the earth was shaken, and the rocks were riven.
And the house of the buried was opened; and the bodies of many of the saints who had been asleep arose,
53 ५३ ते लोक कबरींतून बाहेर पडले, येशूचे पुनरूत्थान झाल्यावर ते लोक पवित्र नगरीत गेले आणि अनेकांनी त्यांना पाहिले.
and came forth, and after his resurrection went into the holy city, and were seen by many.
54 ५४ आता शताधिपतीने, त्यांच्याबरोबर येशूवर जे शिपाई पहारा देत होते त्यांनी भूकंप व जे काही घडले ते पाहिले आणि ते फार भ्याले. ते म्हणाले, “हा खरोखर देवाचा पुत्र होता.”
But the centurion and those with him, who guarded Jeshu, when they saw the commotion and those (portents) which took place, feared greatly, and said, Assuredly this was the Son of Aloha.
55 ५५ तेथे बऱ्याच स्त्रिया काही अंतरावर उभ्या राहून हे पाहत होत्या. येशूची सेवा करीत या स्त्रिया गालील प्रांताहून त्याच्या मागोमाग आल्या होत्या.
(And) many women were there, beholding from afar; those who had come after Jeshu from Galila, and had ministered unto him.
56 ५६ त्यांच्यात मग्दालीया नगराची मरीया, याकोब व योसेफ यांची आई मरीया आणि जब्दीचे पुत्र याकोब व योहान यांची आई या तेथे होत्या.
One of them was Mariam Magdolitha, and Mariam the mother of Jakub and of Josi, and the mother of the sons of Zabdai.
BUT when it was evening, there came a rich man from Rometha, whose name was Jauseph, who himself also was a disciple of Jeshu.
This went unto Pilatos, and begged the body of Jeshu. And Pilatos commanded that the body should be given to him.
And Jauseph took the body, and wound it round in a cloth of pure linen,
60 ६० आणि ते एका खडकात खोदलेल्या नव्या कबरेत ठेवले. नंतर कबरेच्या तोंडावर एक मोठी धोंड लोटून ती कबर बंद केली आणि तो निघून गेला.
and laid it in a new house of burial of his own, which was hewn out in the rock. And they rolled a great stone, and heaved it against the door of the sepulchre, and went.
Now there were there Mariam Magdolitha and the other Mariam, who were sitting over against the sepulchre.
BUT the day which was next after the preparation, the chief priests and Pharishee came together unto Pilatos,
63 ६३ ते म्हणाले, “साहेब, आम्हास आठवण आहे की, तो लबाड जिवंत असताना असे म्हणाला होता की, ‘मी तीन दिवसानी परत जीवनात येईल.’
saying to him, Our lord, we remember that that impostor said while alive, That after three days I will arise.
64 ६४ म्हणून तीन दिवसापर्यंत कबरेवर कडक पहारा ठेवण्याची आज्ञा करा. कारण त्याचे शिष्य येऊन त्याचे शरीर चोरुन नेण्याचा प्रयत्न करतील. मग तो मरणानंतर पुन्हा उठला असे लोकांस सांगतील. ही शेवटची फसवणूक पहिल्यापेक्षा अधिक वाईट होईल.”
Command therefore that they watch the sepulchre till (after) the third of the days; lest his disciples come, and steal him away by night, and tell the people that from the house of the dead he has risen, and the last delusion be worse than the first.
Pilatos saith to them, Ye have guards; go, watch diligently, as ye know how.
66 ६६ म्हणून ते गेले आणि कबरेवर कडक पहारा ठेवला. कबरेवर जी धोंड होती तिच्यावर सरकारी शिक्का मारला आणि तेथे पहारा करण्यासाठी शिपाई नेमले.
So they went, and set a watch (about) the sepulchre, and sealed the stone along with the guards.
