मत्तय 20
1 १ “म्हणून स्वर्गाचे राज्य हे कोणा शेतमालकासारखे आहे. जो अगदी पहाटे त्याच्या द्राक्षमळ्यासाठी मोलाने मजूर आणण्यासाठी गेला.
FOR the kingdom of heaven is like a man, a house-lord, who went forth in the early morn to hire labourers for his vinery.
2 २ त्या मनुष्याने एक दिवसाच्या मजुरीकरिता प्रत्येकाला एक चांदीचे नाणे देण्याचे कबूल केले आणि त्याने द्राक्षाच्या मळ्यात कामास पाठवले.
And he bargained with the labourers for a denarius a day, and sent them into his vinery.
3 ३ सकाळी नऊ वाजण्याच्या सुमारास तो मनुष्य बाजारात गेला तेव्हा तेथे काही माणसे उभी असलेली त्यास दिसली. त्या लोकांस काहीच काम नव्हते.
And he went forth in three hours, and saw others who were standing in the public place and unemployed.
4 ४ मग तो त्यांना म्हणाला, ‘तुम्हीसुद्धा माझ्या द्राक्षमळ्यात कामाला जा आणि जी योग्य मजुरी आहे ती मी तुम्हास देईन.’
And he said to them, Go also you in the vinery, and what is suitable I will give you. Then went they.
5 ५ मग ते काम करण्यास मळ्यात गेले, तो मनुष्य बारा वाजता आणि तीन वाजता बाजारात गेला आणि त्या मनुष्याने आपल्या मळ्यात काम करण्यासाठी लोकांस दोन वेळा जाऊन मजुरीवर घेतले
And he went forth again in six and nine hours, and did the same.
6 ६ पाच वाजता तो मनुष्य परत एकदा बाजारात गेला तेव्हा आणखी काही लोक उभे असलेले त्यास आढळले. त्याने त्यांना विचारले, ‘तुम्ही काही काम न करता दिवसभर येथे का बरे उभे राहिला आहात?’
And about eleven hours he went out, and found others who were standing and unemployed; and he said to them, Why are you standing all the day unemployed?
7 ७ त्या लोकांनी उत्तर दिले, ‘आम्हास कोणी काम दिले नाही.’ तो मनुष्य त्यांना म्हणाला, ‘तर मग तुम्ही जाऊन माझ्या द्राक्षमळ्यात काम करा.’
They say to him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith to them, Go also you into the vinery, and whatever is suitable you shall receive.
8 ८ संध्याकाळी द्राक्षमळ्याचा मालक मुकादमाला म्हणाला, ‘मजुरांना बोलवा आणि त्यांना त्यांची मजुरी देऊन टाका, मी ज्यांना अगदी शेवटी कामावर आणले त्यांना अगोदर मजुरी द्या, नंतर बाकीच्या सर्वांना मजुरी द्या, मी कामावर रोजगारीने पहिल्याने बोलावलेल्यांना सर्वात शेवटी मजुरी द्या.’
But when it was evening, the lord of the vinery said to the chief of his household, Call the workmen and give to them their wages; and begin from the last unto the first.
9 ९ जे मजूर संध्याकाळी साधारण पाच वाजता कामावर घेतले होते ते आपली मजुरी घेण्यासाठी आले. प्रत्येकाला एक नाणे मजुरी मिळाली.
And they came who (had wrought) from eleven hours; and they received each a denarius.
10 १० मग ज्यांना सुरूवातीला कामावर घेण्यात आले होते, ते आपली मजुरी घेण्यासाठी आले. त्यांना वाटत होते की, इतरांपेक्षा त्यांना जास्त पैसे मिळतील, पण त्या सर्वांना चांदीचे एकच नाणे मजुरी मिळाली.
But when the first came, they expected to take more; but they also received each a denarius.
And when they had received, they murmured against the house-lord,
12 १२ ते म्हणाले, ‘ज्यांना शेवटी कामावर घेतले त्यांनी केवळ एक तासच काम केले. परंतु तुम्ही त्यांना आमच्या बरोबरीने मजुरी दिली. आम्ही मात्र दिवसभर उन्हात कष्ट केले.’
and said, These last have wrought one hour, and thou hast made them equal with us, who have borne the burden of the day and its heat.
13 १३ परंतु मळ्याचा मालक त्यांच्यातील एकाला म्हणाला, ‘मित्रा मी तुझ्याबाबतीत अन्याय करीत नाही. मी तुला एक चांदीचे नाणे मजुरी देईन यावर आपण सहमत झालो नाही का?
But he answered and said to one of them, My friend, I am not unjust towards thee: didst thou not bargain with me for a denarius?
14 १४ जे तुझे आहे ते घे आणि चालायला लाग, तुला दिली तितकीच मजुरी मला या शेवटच्या मनुष्यास द्यायची आहे.
Take what is thine and go: I will unto these last to give as unto thee.
15 १५ मी माझ्या पैशाचा वापर मला पाहिजे तसा करू शकत नाही का? मी लोकांशी चांगला आहे म्हणून, तुला हेवा वाटतो का?’
Is it not lawful for me that whatsoever l am willing, I may do with mine own? Is thine eye evil because I am good?
Thus the last shall be first, and the first last; for many are the called, but few the chosen.
NOW Jeshu was about to go up to Urishlem, and he took his twelve disciples by themselves in the way, and said to them,
18 १८ “पाहा, आपण यरूशलेम शहराकडे जात आहोत. मनुष्याच्या पुत्राला धरून मुख्य याजक लोक व नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक यांच्या हाती धरुन देण्यात येईल. ते त्यास मरणदंड ठरतील.
Behold, we go up to Urishlem, and the Son of man is betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to the death;
19 १९ आणि थट्टा करावयास, फटके मारावयास व वधस्तंभावर खिळावयास त्यास परराष्ट्रीयांच्या हाती देतील. परंतु तिसऱ्या दिवशी तो परत जीवनात येईल.”
and they shall consign him to the Gentiles, and they shall mock him, and scourge him, and shall crucify him, and on the third day he shall arise.
20 २० त्यानंतर जब्दीच्या मुलांची आई, आपल्या मुलांसह त्याच्याकडे आली. ती त्याच्या पाया पडली आणि तिने त्यास एक विनंती केली.
Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zabdai, she and her sons, and worshipped him, and supplicated a certain thing of him.
21 २१ त्याने तिला विचारले, “तुला काय पाहिजे?” ती म्हणाली, “माझा एक मुलगा तुमच्या राज्यात तुमच्या उजवीकडे बसेल आणि दुसरा डावीकडे बसेल असे वचन द्या.”
But he said to her, What wilt thou? She said to him, Declare that these my two sons shall sit, one at thy right hand, and one at thy left, in thy kingdom.
22 २२ तो तिला म्हणाला, “तू काय मागत आहेस ते तुला समजत नाही! जो प्याला मी पिणार आहे तो तुम्हास पिता येईल काय?” ते म्हणाले, होय, “पिता येईल!”
Jeshu answered and said, You know not what you ask: are you able to drink the cup of which I am about to drink, or with the baptism with which I am baptized will you be baptized? They say unto him, We are able!
23 २३ येशू त्याना म्हणाला, “तुम्ही खरोखर माझ्या प्याल्यातून प्याल खरे, पण माझ्या उजव्या आणि डाव्या हाताला बसण्याचा मान कोणाला देणे हे ठरविणारा मी नाही, तर माझ्या पित्याने तो मान कोणाला द्यायचा हे ठरवले आहे.”
He saith to them, My cup you shall drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized you shall be baptized: but that you may sit at my right hand, and at my left, is not mine to give, unless to them for whom it is prepared by my Father.
And when the ten heard it, they were indignant against those two brothers.
25 २५ मग येशूने त्यांना बोलावून म्हटले, “परराष्ट्रीय लोकांच्या राजांना लोकांवर आपली सत्ता आहे हे दाखवणे आवडले आणि त्यांच्या प्रमुख नेत्यांना आपले अधिकार वाटेल तसे वापरणे आवडते.
And Jeshu called them, and said to them, You know that the princes of the Gentiles are their lords, and their great ones exercise power over them;
26 २६ पण तुमचे वागणे तसे नसावे. जर तुमच्यातील कोणाला मोठे व्हायचे असेल तर त्याने तुमचा सेवक झाले पाहिजे.
but it shall not be so among you; but whoever among you willeth to be great, let him be minister to you.
And whoever among you willeth to be first, let him be to you the servant.
28 २८ म्हणजे तुम्ही मनुष्याच्या पुत्रासारखे असले पाहिजे. जसा तो इतरांकडून सेवा करून घ्यायला आला नाही तर इतरांची सेवा करायला आणि अनेकांचे तारण व्हावे यासाठी आपला जीव खंडणी म्हणून देण्यासाठी आला.”
So, the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life the redemption for many.
AND when Jeshu went forth from Jirichu, a great multitude cometh after him.
30 ३० रस्त्याच्या कडेला दोन आंधळे बसले होते आणि जेव्हा त्यांनी ऐकले की, येशू तेथून जात आहे, तेव्हा ते मोठ्याने ओरडले, “प्रभू येशू, दाविदाच्या पुत्रा. आमच्यावर दया करा.”
And, behold, two blind men were sitting by the side of the way; and when they heard that Jeshu was passing, they gave voice, saying, Be merciful upon us, my Lord, Son of David!
31 ३१ जमावाने त्यांना दटावले व त्यांना शांत राहण्यास सांगितले. पण ते अधिकच मोठ्याने ओरडू लागले, “प्रभू, दाविदाच्या पुत्रा, आमच्यावर दया करा.”
But the crowds rebuked them that they should be silent; but they lifted up their voice the more, saying, Our Lord, be merciful upon us, O Son of David!
32 ३२ मग येशू थांबला आणि त्यांच्याशी बोलला, त्याने विचारले, “मी तुमच्यासाठी काय करावे अशी तुमची इच्छा आहे?”
And Jeshu stood and called them, and said, What will you that I should do for you?
They say to him, Our Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34 ३४ येशूला त्यांच्यांबद्दल कळवळा आला आणि त्याने त्यांच्या डोळ्यांना स्पर्श केला. त्याच क्षणी त्यांना दिसू लागले आणि ते त्याच्यामागे गेले.
And he had compassion on them, and touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes were opened, and they went after him.
