1 १ नंतर असे झाले की, एका शब्बाथ दिवशी येशू शेतामधून जात होता आणि त्याचे शिष्य कणसे मोडून हातावर चोळून खात होते.
IT was on the shabath, while Jeshu was walking among the corn, and his disciples gathered the ears, and rubbed in their hands and ate (them).
But some of the Pharishee said to them, Why do you a thing which it is not lawful on the shabuth to do?
3 ३ येशूने त्यांना म्हटले, “जेव्हा दावीद व त्याच्याबरोबरच्या मनुष्यांना भूक लागली तेव्हा त्यांनी काय केले हे तुम्ही कधी वाचले नाही काय?
Jeshu answered and said to them, And this have you not read, what David did when he hungered, and they who were with him?
4 ४ तो देवाच्या घरात गेला आणि ज्या समर्पित भाकरी याजकांशिवाय कोणीच खाणे योग्य नाही त्या त्याने कशा घेऊन खाल्ल्या व आपल्याबरोबर जे होते त्यांनाही दिल्या.”
that he went into the house of Aloha, and the bread of the table of the Lord he took, ate, and gave to them who were with him, that (bread) which was not lawful to eat, except by the priests only?
And he said to them, That the Lord of the shabath is the Son of man.
6 ६ असे झाले की, दुसऱ्या एका शब्बाथ दिवशी येशू सभास्थानात गेला आणि शिकवू लागला. ज्याचा उजवा हात वाळलेला होता असा एक मनुष्य तेथे होता.
And it was on another shabath (that) he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And there was a man whose right hand was dried:
7 ७ येशू शब्बाथ दिवशी कोणाला बरे करतो की काय हे पाहण्यासाठी नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक व परूशी त्याच्यावर लक्ष ठेवून होते. यासाठी की त्यांना आरोप ठेवण्यासाठी काहीतरी कारण मिळावे.
and the Sophree and Pharishee watched him, if he would heal on the shabath, that they might accuse him.
8 ८ परंतु तो त्यांचे विचार जाणून वाळलेल्या हाताच्या मनुष्यास म्हणाला, “ऊठ आणि सर्वांसमोर उभा राहा,” आणि तो मनुष्य उठून तेथे उभा राहिला.
But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man whose hand was dried, Rise (and) come into the midst of the assembly.
9 ९ येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “मी तुम्हास विचारतो, शब्बाथ दिवशी कोणत्या गोष्टी करायला परवानगी आहे? चांगले करणे की वाईट करणे? कोणते कायदेशीर आहे, एखाद्याचा जीव वाचवणे का त्याचा नाश करणे?”
And when he had come and stood, Jeshu said to them, I ask you which is lawful to do on the shabath, good or evil, life to save or to destroy?
10 १० मग त्याने सभोवती त्या सर्वांकडे पाहीले आणि म्हणाला, “तू आपला हात लांब कर.” तेव्हा त्याने तसे केले आणि त्याचा हात बरा झाला.
And he beheld them all, and said to him, Stretch forth thine hand: and he stretched it forth, and his hand was restored as its fellow.
11 ११ पण परूशी व नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक खूप रागावले व येशूविषयी काय करता येईल याविषयी आपसात चर्चा करू लागले.
But they were filled with envy, and spake one with another what they should do with Jeshu.
12 १२ त्या दिवसात असे झाले की, येशू प्रार्थना करण्यासाठी डोंगरावर गेला. त्याने ती रात्र देवाची प्रार्थना करण्यात घालवली.
BUT it was in those days that Jeshu went forth into a mountain to pray; and there remained he all night in the prayer of Aloha.
13 १३ जेव्हा दिवस उगवला, तेव्हा त्याने शिष्यांना आपणाकडे बोलावले. त्याने त्यांच्यातील बाराजणांना निवडले व त्यांना ‘प्रेषित’ असे नाव दिले.
And when the day brake, he called his disciples, and chose from them twelve, those whom he named Apostles,
14 १४ शिमोन ज्याला पेत्र हे सुद्धा नाव दिले तो अंद्रिया (पेत्राचा भाऊ), याकोब आणि योहान, फिलिप्प, बर्थलमय,
Shemun, he whose name was Kipha, and Andreas his brother, and Jacub, and Juchanon, and Philipos, and Bar Tholmai,
and Mathai, and Thoma, and Jakub bar Chalphai, and Shemun who was called the Zealous,
and Jihuda bar Jakub, and Jihuda Scaruta, he who was the traitor.
17 १७ तो त्यांच्याबरोबर डोंगरावरून खाली उतरला व सपाट जागेवर उभा राहिला आणि त्याच्या अनुयायांचा मोठा समुदाय तेथे आला व यहूदीया प्रांत, यरूशलेम शहर, सोर आणि सिदोनच्या समुद्रकिनाऱ्याकडचे असे पुष्कळसे लोक तेथे आले होते.
And Jeshu descended with them, and stood in the plain, and a great assembly of his disciples and a multitude of people from all Jehud, and from Urishlem, and from the sea-coast of Tsur and Tsaidon,
18 १८ ते तेथे त्याचे ऐकण्यास व आपल्या रोगांपासून बरे होण्यास आले व ज्यांना अशुद्ध आत्म्यांची बाधा होती त्यांनाही त्यांच्या व्याधीपासून मुक्त करण्यात आले.
who had come to hear his words, and to be healed of their diseases; and they who were vexed by unclean spirits, and they were healed.
19 १९ सगळा लोकसमुदाय त्यास स्पर्श करू पाहत होता, कारण त्याच्यामधून सामर्थ्य येत होते आणि सर्वांना ते बरे करत होते.
And all the multitudes sought to approach to him, for the power went forth from him, and all of them he healed.
20 २० मग येशूने आपल्या शिष्यांकडे पाहिले व म्हणाला, “अहो दिनांनो, तुम्ही धन्य आहात कारण देवाचे राज्य तुमचे आहे.
AND he lifted up his eyes upon his disciples, and said, Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of Aloha.
21 २१ अहो जे तुम्ही आता भूकेले आहात, ते तुम्ही धन्य आहात, कारण तुम्ही तृप्त व्हाल. अहो जे तुम्ही आता रडता, ते तुम्ही आशीर्वादित आहात कारण तुम्ही हसाल.
Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.
22 २२ जेव्हा मनुष्याच्या पुत्रामुळे लोक तुमचा द्वेष करतील आणि जेव्हा ते आपल्या समाजातून तुम्हास दूर करतील व तुमची निंदा करतील व तुमचे नाव ते वाईट म्हणून टाकून देतील आणि मनुष्याच्या पुत्रामुळे तुम्हास नाकारतील, तेव्हा तुम्ही धन्य आहात.
Blessed are you when the sons of man hate you, and separate you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of man.
23 २३ त्यादिवशी आनंद करून उड्या मारा, कारण खरोखर स्वर्गात तुमचे प्रतिफळ मोठे आहे! कारण त्यांच्या पूर्वजांनी संदेष्ट्यांना सुद्धा तसेच केले.
Rejoice in that day, and exult, for your reward is great in heaven; for thus did they to your fathers the prophets.
But woe to you (who are) rich, because you have received your consolation.
25 २५ जे तुम्ही तृप्त आहात त्या तुम्हास दुःख होवो, कारण तुम्ही भूकेले व्हाल. जे आता हसतात त्यांना दुःख होवो कारण तुम्ही शोक कराल आणि रडाल.
Woe to you (who are) full, for you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall weep and lament.
26 २६ जेव्हा सर्व तुमच्याविषयी चांगले बोलतील तेव्हा तुम्हास दुःख होवो कारण त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांनी खोट्या संदेष्ट्यांना असेच केले.”
Woe to you when the sons of men shall speak well of you, for so did to the prophets of falsity their fathers.
27 २७ “परंतु तुम्हा ऐकणाऱ्यांस मी सांगतो, तुमच्या शत्रूंवर प्रीती करा. जे तुमचा द्वेष करतात, त्यांचे चांगले करा.
But I say to you who hear, Love your adversaries, and do good to those who hate you,
and bless those who execrate you, and pray for those who lead you by violence.
29 २९ जर कोणी तुमच्या एका गालावर मारतो तर त्याच्यासमोर दुसराही गाल करा. जर कोणी तुमचा अंगरखा घेतो तर त्यास तुमची बंडी ही घेऊन जाण्यास मना करू नका.
And to one who striketh you on your cheek, offer to him the other: and whosoever taketh your cloak, forbid him not your coat also.
30 ३० जे तुम्हास मागतात त्या प्रत्येकाला द्या आणि जो तुमची वस्तू हिरावून घेतो त्याच्यापाशी ते परत मागू नको.
To every one who asketh of you give; and from him who taketh of yours demand not (again).
And as you will that the sons of man should do to you, so do you also to them.
32 ३२ तुमच्यावर जे प्रीती करतात त्यांच्यावर तुम्ही प्रीती करा, तर त्यामध्ये तुमचा उपकार तो काय? कारण पापी लोकही आपणावर प्रीती करणाऱ्यांवर प्रीती करतात.
For if you love them who love you, what is your grace? for sinners also love those who love them.
33 ३३ तुमचे जे चांगले करतात, त्यांचे जर तुम्ही चांगले करता तर तुम्हास काय लाभ? पापीसुद्धा असेच करतात.
And if you do good to those who benefit you, what is your grace? for the sinners also thus do.
34 ३४ ज्यांच्याकडून तुम्हास परत मिळेल अशी आशा असते, त्यांना जर उसने देता तर तुम्हास काय लाभ? पापीसुद्धा परत मिळावे या उद्देशाने दुसऱ्या पाप्याला उसने देतात.
And if you lend to them from whom you expect to be recompensed, what is your grace? for sinners also lend to sinners, that they might be profited.
35 ३५ परंतु तुम्ही आपल्या शत्रूंवर प्रीती करा व त्यांचे बरे करा आणि निराश न होता उसने द्या म्हणजे तुमचे प्रतिफळ मोठे होईल व तुम्ही परात्पराचे पुत्र व्हाल कारण तो अनुपकारी व वाईट यांच्यावर तो दया करणारा आहे.
But love your adversaries, and do good to them, and lend, and cut not off the hope of any one; and great shall be your reward, and you shall be the children of the Most High; for he is benign to the evil and to the ungrateful.
Be you therefore merciful, as also your Father is merciful.
37 ३७ “दुसऱ्यांचा न्याय करू नका, म्हणजे तुमचाही न्याय होणार नाही. दुसऱ्यांना दोषी ठरवू नका म्हणजे तुम्हास दोषी ठरवले जाणार नाही. दुसऱ्यांची क्षमा करा म्हणजे तुमचीही क्षमा केली जाईल.
JUDGE not, and you shall not be judged; condemn not, and you shall not be condemned; release, and you shall be released;
38 ३८ द्या म्हणजे तुम्हास दिले जाईल. चांगले माप दाबून, हालवून व शीग भरून तुमच्या पदरी घालतील कारण ज्या मापाने तुम्ही मापून द्याल त्याच मापाने तुम्हास परत मापून देण्यात येईल.”
give, and it shall be given to you; in good measure, compressed, redundant, shall they pour into your bosoms. For in that measure you mete, it shall be measured to you.
39 ३९ त्याने त्यांना एक दाखला सांगितला, “एक आंधळा दुसऱ्या आंधळ्याला मार्ग दाखवू शकेल काय? ते दोघेही खड्डयात पडणार नाहीत काय?
And he spake to them a parable: How can the blind lead the blind, and not fall into the ditch?
40 ४० कोणताही शिष्य त्याच्या गुरुपेक्षा थोर नाही. पण प्रत्येक शिष्य जेव्हा पूर्ण शिकतो तेव्हा तो गुरुसारखाच होतो.
The disciple than his master is not greater; but every man who is perfect shall be as his master.
For why behold you the rod that is in the eye of your brother, but the rafter in your (own) eye is not seen by you?
42 ४२ अथवा तू आपल्या डोळ्यातले मुसळ न पाहता आपल्या भावाला कसे म्हणशील की, भाऊ, तुझ्या डोळ्यातले कुसळ मला काढू दे? अरे ढोंग्या, प्रथम तुझ्या डोळ्यातील मुसळ काढ मगच तुला तुझ्या भावाच्या डोळ्यातील कुसळ काढताना चांगले दिसेल.”
Or how can you say to your brother, My brother, permit (that) I pull out the rod that is in your eye, and behold the rafter in your own eye is not seen by you? Hypocrite! first take out the rafter from your own eye, and then shall you see to take out the rod that is in the eye of your brother.
A good tree maketh not evil fruits; also an evil tree maketh not good fruits:
44 ४४ कारण प्रत्येक झाड हे त्याच्या फळावरुन ओळखले जाते. लोक काटेरी झुडुपातून अंजीरे गोळा करीत नाहीत तसेच काटेरी झुडुपातून ते द्राक्षे गोळा करीत नाहीत.
for every tree by its fruits is known. For how gather they from thorns figs? neither also from the bramble do they gather in grapes.
45 ४५ चांगला मनुष्य त्याच्या अंतःकरणात ज्या चांगल्या गोष्टी साठवलेल्या असतात त्याच काढतो आणि दुष्ट मनुष्य त्याच्या अंतःकरणात जे वाईट आहे तेच बाहेर काढतो कारण अंतःकरणात जे भरले आहे तेच मुखावाटे निघणार.
The good man, from the good treasures which are in his heart, bringeth forth good things; and the evil man, from the evil treasures which are in his heart, bringeth forth evil things; for from the adundancies of the heart the lips speak.
Why call you me, My Lord, my Lord, and the things which I say do not?
47 ४७ प्रत्येकजण जो माझ्याकडे येतो व माझी वचने ऐकून त्या आज्ञा पाळतो तो कसा आहे हे मी तुम्हास दाखवितो.
Every man who cometh to me and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like.
48 ४८ तो एका घर बांधणाऱ्या मनुष्यासारखा आहे. त्याने खोल खोदले आणि खडकावर पाया बांधला. मग पूर आला आणि पाण्याचा लोंढा घरावर आदळला, पण पाण्याने ते हलले नाही, कारण ते चांगले बांधले होते.
He is like a man who built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundations upon the rock: but when there was an inundation, the inundation beat against that house, and it could not shake it, for its foundations were set upon a rock.
49 ४९ पण जो कोणी माझी वचने ऐकतो पण ती पाळीत नाही तो ज्याने आपले घर पाया न घालता जमिनीवर बांधले त्या मनुष्यासारखा आहे, त्या घरावर पाण्याचा लोंढा आदळला आणि ते लागलेच पडले व त्या घराचा मोठा नाश झाला.”
And he who heareth and doeth not, is like a man who built his house upon the dust, without a foundation: and when the river beat against it, it immediately fell, and the ruin was great of that house.
