17 १७ इतर सर्व मुलींपेक्षा राजाने एस्तेरवर अधिक प्रीती केली. आणि इतर सर्व कुमारीहून तिजवर त्याची मर्जी बसली व तिच्यावर कृपादृष्टी झाली. तेव्हा राजा अहश्वेरोशने एस्तेरच्या मस्तकावर राजमुकुट घालून वश्तीच्या जागी तिला राणी केले.

18 १८ आपले सर्व प्रमुख अधिकारी सेवक यांना राजाने एस्तेरसाठी मोठी मेजवानी दिली. सर्व प्रांतांमध्ये त्याने लोकांस कर माफी जाहीर केली. आपल्या उदारपणाप्रमाणे त्याने लोकांस बक्षीसे दिली.

20 २० एस्तेरने आपले लोक व नातलगाविषयी कोणाला कळू दिले नव्हते. कारण मर्दखयाने तिला तसे बजावले होते. तो तिचा सांभाळ करत असताना ती त्याचे ऐकत असे तशीच ती अजूनही त्याच्या आज्ञेत होती.
