1 Aduga chinglai aduna samudra mapanda leplammi. Adudagi samudradagi sa ama thorakpa eina ure. Sa adugi machi tara amasung makok taret palli, machising khudinggi luhup amamam uppi, makoksing khudingda Tengban Mapubu thina ngangba ming amamam lei.
Then I saw, ‘rising out of the sea, a wild Beast with ten horns’ and seven heads. On its horns were ten diadems, and on its heads were blasphemous names.
2 Eina uriba sa adu kabokkei malli, adubu makhong adu sawomgi makhong malli aduga machin aduna nongsagi machin malli. Chinglai aduna sa aduda magi panggal, phambal amasung, achouba matik adu pikhi.
The Beast that I saw was like a leopard; but its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth like the mouth of a lion. The Dragon gave it his power and his throne, and wide dominion.
3 Sa adugi makok amadi siba yana sokkhiba malli adubu siba yana sokpa adu phakhre. Taibangpan apumba angakpana thallammi aduga sa adugi matung illammi.
One of its heads seemed to me to have been mortally wounded, but its deadly wound had been healed. The whole earth followed the Beast, wondering;
4 Mi pumnamakna chinglai adubu khurumlammi maramdi mahakna sa aduda mahakki matik pirammi. Makhoina sa adubusu khurumduna hai, “Sa asigumba kana leibage? Kanana mahakka maiyoknaba ngamgadage?”
and men worshiped the Dragon, because he had given his dominion to the Beast; while, as they worshiped the Beast, they said — ‘Who can compare with the Beast? and who can fight with it?’
5 Sa aduda napalgi wa ngangnaba amadi Tengban Mapubu thina ngangnaba chin pirammi amasung madugi matik adu tha niphunithoi sijinnanaba pirammi.
The Beast was given ‘a mouth that spoke proudly’ and blasphemously, and it was empowered to work its will for forty-two months.
6 Mahakna Tengban Mapubu, Tengban Mapugi mingbu, Tengban Mapuna leiriba mapham adubu, amadi swargada leiriba makhoi pumnamakpu thina ngangba hourammi.
It opened its mouth only to blaspheme God, to blaspheme his Name and his Tabernacle — those who dwell in his Tabernacle in Heaven.
7 Tengban Mapugi asengba misinggi maiyokta lal hounaba amasung makhoibu maithiba pinaba sa aduda panggal pire. Aduga mangonda salai khuding, mioi kanglup khuding, lon khuding amasung phurup khudinggi mathakta matik pibire.
It had been permitted to fight with Christ’s People and to conquer them, and it had received power over men of every tribe, and people, and language, and nation.
8 Hatkhraba Yaomacha adugi hingbagi lairikta taibangpan semdringeigi mamangda maming isinkhraba makhoikhak nattana, malemda hingliba mi pumnamakna mabu khurumgani.
All who are living on earth will worship it — all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, the Lamb that has been sacrificed from the foundation of the world.
9 Manakong panba mahak aduna tajasanu.
Let him who has ears hear.
10 “Lanpha oigadaba kanagumba aduna soidana lanpha oigani; thangsangna hatkadaba kanagumba adubu soidana thangsangna hatkani.” Masina haibadi Tengban Mapugi asengba misingna otpi neibibasing khaangheina khaanggani amasung thajabayaba oina leigani.
‘Whoever is destined for captivity goes into captivity.’ Whoever shall kill with the sword must inevitably be killed with the sword. (Here there is need for endurance and faith on the part of Christ’s People.)
11 Adudagi atoppa sa ama malemdagi kakhatlakpa eina ure. Yaomachagi machi manba mahakki machi ani palli, aduga chinglaigumna wa ngang-i.
Then I saw, rising out of the earth, another wild Beast. It had two horns like those of a lamb, and its voice was like a dragon’s.
12 Mahakna ahanba sa adugi matik pumnamak adu magi mangda sijinnare. Aduga malem amasung maduda leiriba mi pumnamakpu mahakna ahanba sa haibadi siba yana sokpadagi phakhiba sa adubu namduna khurumhalle.
It exercises all the authority of the first Beast under its very eyes; and it makes the earth and all who are living on it worship that first Beast, whose mortal wound was healed.
13 Anisuba sa asina achou achouba angakpa thabaksing tourami; mi pumnamakki mitmangda mahakna atiyadagi malemda mei tahallakkhi.
It performs great marvels, even causing fire to fall from the heavens to the earth, before men’s eyes;
14 Aduga ahanba sa adugi mangda touba yahankhiba angakpa thabaksing adugi mapanna malemda leiriba mi pumnamakpu mahakna minamlammi. Aduga thangsangna sok-hankhraba houjiksu hingliba sa adubu ikai khumnabagi murti ama sananaba sa aduna makhoida hairammi.
and in consequence of the marvels which it was allowed to perform under the eyes of the Beast, it is able to deceive all who are living on the earth. It bids those who live on the earth to make a statue in honour of the Beast, who, despite the wound from the sword, yet lived.
15 Ahanba sa adugi murti adu wa ngangba ngamhanduna murti adubu khurummu yadaba makhoi pumnamakpu hatnaba ahanba sa adugi murtida ahingba sor pinabagi panggal anisuba sa aduda pire.
It was permitted to breathe life into the image of the Beast, so that the image of the Beast might speak; and it was also permitted to cause all who refused to worship the image of the Beast to be put to death.
16 Sa aduna achou pisak, inak khunba amadi lairaba, minai amadi ningtamba naidana mi pumnamakta makhoi makhoigi khut yetta nattraga maraibakta khudam ama namduna thamhankhi.
High and low, rich and poor, freemen and slaves — it causes a brand to be put on the right hand or on the forehead of every one of them,
17 Khudam asi haibadi sa adugi maming nattraga maming adugi mahut sinba masing adu yaodana mi kana amatana leiba amadi yonba yaramde.
so that no one is able to buy or sell, except those that bear this brand — either the name of the Beast or the number indicated by the letters of his name.
18 Masida lousing matou tai. Wakhal taba makheising aduna sa adugi masing asigi wahanthok adu thisanu, maramdi masing asina mi amagi minggi mahut sillibani. Masing adudi 666 ni.
(Here there is need for discernment.) Let him who has the ability compute the number of the Beast; for the number indicates a man’s name. Its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
